I adore the leaning mechanic in the minigame to make you think something more would happen. It's all an elaborate setup for a cruel jumpscare.
Hearing Corey say "It must be fun clipping your mic and bit crushing it" is the funniest thing after hearing him say that's what he and his friends used to do for fun when he was first making videos.
I remember it like it was yesterday. The only direction he would ever give his voice actors was "Scream as loud as you can" or "Scream like you're being de-nutted."
Now he just clips the mic on a regular basis.
That bathroom jumpscare was perfect. I was totally distracted by the thing on the wall. One of the few times a jumpscare in a lets play has gotten me lol
It got me even though I knew it was coming - I watched Jerma play this so I was expecting the murderer to be where it was for him. The murderer just jumping out from around the corner got me good.

I was working at a gas station and we had one guy came in who was real sad
So I tried to relate to him all therapist-like because I felt bad for him
Before I know it he's calling the place's phone asking for me by name
That's the worst of it though. Usually at that time of night it's just meth heads.
Recently I was running out of gas pretty late at night and coming in I realized just how nervous the middle-aged lady working there must be (didn't see anyone else), especially because as I walked out of the store to go pump a car pulled up into the closest parking spot to the door in a somewhat aggressive way (might've even been the handicap spot, just seemed odd even if they didn't do else too weird). Would hate to have to work that shift.
@@Pimploaf_YTP I know most of what I know about the night shift because of a buddy of mine. I was ”lucky" enough to work during the day. Honestly, its a lot easier, so there's that. But I get it. The freaks come out at night. But. They really are 99% harmless.

They never realized that the killer locked himself in the bathroom and was watching them through the vent, waiting for them to be alone.
Probably the best jump scare I’ve seen in a good while, genuinely jumped so hard i flipped my phone over and somehow also turned it off so i was just laying in complete silence for like 10 seconds

Jump scares usually don't get me but that was really well done. I wonder if it's coded for him to appear once the player looks at the graffiti, so as to hit you as soon as you're distracted?
It's actually semi random, he can appear at multiple spots and different times. I believe there are jumpscare compilations of Night Shift if you wanna see it in action

I sure hope they play the sequel to night shift that JUST released like a week or two ago. Which means they probably won't but I'm still hoping for "Stay out of the House"

when i was younger i would see cartoon characters punch in to work with those time cards and I always wanted to do it when I grew up cause it looked satisfying. never got to fulfill my dream.
The satisfaction of those punch-in work cards, combined with watching train conductors cut holes in tickets, inspired me to make music boxes lol

I got let go from a job I've been enjoying for over a year, specifically since it was a remote job. The jump scare at the end was the first time I smiled in like a week. This is good.

Funny enough, the arcade game is an Easter egg for another Puppet Combo game, Power Drill Massacre. I believe it was one of their first and more high profile games. It’s short, but pretty freaky and it’s jumpscares are the absolute worst with how sudden, loud and scary they are.
But then again, I’d be scared too if I was in a factory and Tomar was chasing me with a power drill trying to kill me…
Tomar actually chased me with a drill in an abandoned factory and I can tell you from firsthand experience it was absolutely horrifying. He kept giggling as he pranced behind me with a drill. Thank god I made it outta there. I will forever be haunted. Still, that was not worse than that jumpscare at the end, Jesus.
If you pause at the right moment when the jumpscare happens, a menu/hud interface shows up that is curiously reminiscent of Resident Evil. Weird little detail!

Thank GOD I didn't check the comments so that jumpscare was unspoiled, holy cow, my heart skipped a beat and my entire body felt burning hot while I registered it. That was AMAZINGLY well done, and I don't give jumpscares love easily.
I had my cat sitting on me when I was watching. The ending scared me and she scratched the shit out of me when I jumped.

Either they are boring walking/waiting simulators with cheap jumpscares like the "Sanatorium" one from last ep or they are actually well done with creepy atmosphere with amazingly placed/timed scares like this one.

Normal jump scares, especially in horror games, don’t get me at all, but the fact there’s no build up or any music pairing with it just catches you completely off guard. Very well done
