14 people? Hell, 20 hillbillies and 5 cases of beer easy! These are very common in the US. This is a very nice pontoon, better than most. They are perfect for lakes and families. Compared to boats you can buy in Europe the price is outstanding. Also, these things are endlessly rebuildable in your backyard. 😅
I have one of these here in Las Vegas and we love it out on Lake Mead. Great for the whole family or a couple families with a couple dogs along. It can pull wakeboarders with a bunch of people on board, and they can walk around changing location at will without crawling all over each other. Tons of storage under every seat and even under the deck. Pontoon boats are virtually unsinkable, because they don't hold water. Any that comes onto the deck just washes right back off immediately, and you don't have to worry about putting a hole in the bottom, since it still wont sink even if you do. It's like being on your patio at home, but cruising around at 30 knots with great scenery and fishing. I've had jet boats and other standard type of boats, but this pontoon is the one everybody wants go out on, because it's comfortable, fun, and easy.
Gee shiiiit boy, aaah’m seeing that there boat on Rutland Water when them there dinghyists have a Nashional Champeenship. That’ll shoor put de cat amongst dem pigeons…..
Thanks for sharing Hugo. Not sure how you managed to stretch the tour to over 12 minutes. 😆 Personally, I’d rather but pretty much any other boat on the market than a pontoon thingy. Plus with a load of food and drink, but no heads, not sure how that’d work?! 🤢
Given the recent weather here on the South Coast of UK I can think of about one calm day over the summer where it would have been useful. As to the wrap around unit for changing and the heads, my mum used to wrap me in an orange and white towelling changing robe with a hole in the top and drawstring neck. The absolute height of style some 55 years ago 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I've owned several pontoons and presently own 2024 Regency 230 LE3. Most if not all pontoons can safely and comfortably handle 3-5' waves with a swell period between 1-10 seconds. I live on the West coast of Florida and spend the majority of my time up and down the coast of Gulf of Mexico. There would be no reason to take a pontoon more than a couple of miles off the shores of gulfs, seas or oceans. These boats are made for safe family fun. I would never take 12-14 people out unless it was just for a sunset cruise up and down the rivers that lead into the Gulf. That many people on a vessel will definitely get the attention of our Sheriffs and Coast Guards. 14 people means 14 life jackets, 14 towels, too many coolers and a lot of yelling to sit down.
MarineMax sells these pontoon boats by the megatruckload. The Harris Sunliner. Of course, their upgraded features, is stainless steel or carbon fiber poles, cushion covers, screen protectors, and upgraded speakers. Of course pontoon boats here are generally slow and meant for lake fishing, maybe saltwater fishing close to docks or the sandbar. Myndad had one and he took it out 4 times and hated it. Never took it out again and the trailer axle. The price for this though is about 5 times the cost of the ones in thhe US.
It's always interesting to see different types of boats. I'm not sure if this boat is for working at sea. To me it's more for Lakes and Rivers in the US or Europe. I think most of our lakes have speed limits now. But she certainly interesting and her helm instruments are compact.
It’s a no from me, not sure it is made for our climate or seas. Where would you keep it and how do you cover it to protect it from the weather when not in use
The existence of this privacy tent for getting changed tells a lot about the differences in prudence between Europe and the United States 😅 But if you fit a Porta Potty in it, it actually starts to make sense :-)
They aren't going to sell many of those 😆 No use on the sea and there aren't that many lakes allowing powered craft outside of Scotland - well none you can get any speed on.
Absolutely hideous and almost functional, needs a place to store all that used beer. I'd say it's not really suited to the UK weather but much more at home in Florida.
We own the DL3 230 and love it! We added a BBQ grill to cook at anchor. Hello from across the pond, USA.!.

It looks like something from the 1970s that Boss Hogg would be proud to own.

A head can be installed in the changing area. You, as is typical of the British, do not understand Americans.

Love it. Could defo see myself on that.
Great boat for lake living.

I’m pretty sure our Drystack forklifts aren’t suited to lift it. I could be wrong though
Really only missing a heads compartment, otherwise I actually really like it; it's function over form.
The good ol’ American “Party Barge” has made it to the UK.

Are there any lakes in Europe that allow outboards any more? I sure as heck wouldn't go to sea in one.
There is only one lake in Scotland.
They are all the rage on the big lakes in the States. Not much use in Northern Europe and nowhere to put my spinnaker pole.
American party boat 🤙🏻
Sea Trial force 5 please😂
Yeah, 14 friends all loaded up with booze wanting a pee lol 😅 ... 🇬🇧

First view and it’s something weird!
flat water only
They really require lakes & great weather....they don't really make that much sense in the UK
Par-Tay Barge, woo-hoo....
There's nothing Victorian about wanting to get changed in privacy.
