They’re will never be people waiting outside to watch a movie like this again. I’m jealous of everyone experiencing that kind of excitement for something
I enjoy these just as much as the movies themselves! So fun to watch and very educational :) Hopefully one day i can partake in a fantastic production-team like this!
I saw this movie last night at 10pm with a theater full of people. We were the first in our region to watch it. I had goosebumps well throughout the entire movie. Just seeing the "The Hobbit" fade in at 48 frames in 3D after 4 long years of waiting brought tears to my eyes. Thanks Peter for taking on directing duty for The Hobbit. I could not imagine another director creating Middle Earth as well as you do.
Just want to Say thank YOU Peter and all the Team and despiste Tolkien's son ungreatfull words..You have really honored our dear FATHER Tolkien and all the fan family international fellowship Will always be gratefull with you. Hugs from southamerica
THANK YOU PETER!!! Thank you for making LOTR and now The Hobbit. I'm sure I speak for a lot of fans when I say that these films are so much more than just another great movie. There is no movie that has ever been made that has the same power, majesty and sheer overwhelming beauty as LOTR. The story, the performances, the score and the stunning visuals. PERFECTION. And now through the equally amazing hobbit movies you take us into that world we love so much a second time. THANK YOU SO MUCH.
seeing this pictures in 2014 and feeling the atmosphere let me cry and smile in one moment, because the music and the wunderfull actors and all these happy people out there make me feel home; home in Middleearth.
Why the hell am I crying after seeing this?! There is so much love and effort put in these movies and to see this huge family of appreciation of this piece of art is simply heart breaking! Take any time you guys need for the 'the desolation of Smaug'!
Thank you Peter Jackson, and everyone who worked so hard to bring The Hobbit to life! We love you so much, and no matter how hard we try, we cannot thank you enough!
Hey Peter, just want to say thank you, sincerely. Been following your films for the last 20+ years and they've made a big impact on my life, I watch through all 6 films multiple times a year. Thank you so much for everything you, the cast and crew have done.
I adored seeing the 3 LOTR in theaters, but I was crying the whole Hobbit movie. it was so great. This is my childhood. This is way better than I ever imagined.
Peter, I know you probably won't see this, but I'd like to thank you so much for doing these vlogs. Thank you so much for creating this movie and allowing us to go to Middle Earth once again. This movie was beyond my expectations, and my jaw was literally dropped the first 10 minutes of the movie. I will most certainly be seeing it again and again until Desolation Of Smaug is released. Thank you doesn't even begin to express my feelings. God bless you, sir.
This movie was simply spectacular! I was shocked to find it was actually over 2 1/2 hrs. long: it felt like it ran about an hour an a half because it was it was so compelling...it's a movie you'll want to see multiple times because it's just so much fun....go see it today! Kudos to Peter Jackson and his amazing cast and crew....they really did themselves proud!
Literally cried my eyes out on this one. I'll be at that red carpet soon, showing you my support. Until that time, remember, "Not all who wander are lost."
I just saw the movie today. It is so amazing how they have been able to capture the spirit of the book, but also make a few twists here and there like they did in LOTR, and tie it together so beautifully with Lord of the Rings. The humor too was íncredible. The 48FPS drew such a perfect line between a normal movie and real life footage. I have never been so immersed in a film before. Thank you so much Peter Jackson and everyone who have been working so hard to make this movie.
What a spectacular film. Peter Jackson is even responding to people on RUclips. There is nothing more heartwarming than a brilliant director who actually connects with his or her fans.
To Peter, Philippa, Fran, the entire cast and crew, every person that made this movie and the return to Middle-Earth possible, thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart. I was able to see the movie in HFR at midnight, and it was absolutely stunningly beautiful. The entire theatre cheered when it began, countless times during, and again when it ended. Everyone loved it. We all can't wait until Desolation of Smaug, and know it will be just as fantastic. Thank you.
In college we first met The Hobbit in 1967. Thank you to cast, crew and Peter for making it better than we could ever imagine. We love you all for that.
Hi, my name is Farida, I am 11 years old. I absolutely love and adore The Lord Of The Rings and The hobbit, I wish I could have been at the premiere but I couldn't make it, I just want to say thank you for making these blogs and doing terrific work to entertain us all! Take care, best wishes!
The movie was beautiful. One of the best experiences of my life. Thank you so much Peter Jackson and all the cast! And thank you for all the videos you posted along the way. You guys worked so hard and indeed more than delivered. Please keep posting videos and show us insects as such :') Thank you!
Simply amazing, this is a movie for the ages. The best visual effects, sets, acting, camerawork and directing I have seen in a movie since The Lord of the Rings. Bravo Peter, Bravo!
I can't believe I ended up crying. The Hobbit is my favourite book EVER and see all the heart and soul you and everybody poured into the movie just made me very emotional. Thanks for everything ♥ Greetings from Chile, the country that almost made it hahaha.
It's been so awesome to have been able to be updated by Peter and his filmmakers with these blogs, every so often. Makes those not there during the events more a part of the makings of the films, and all the hard work involved. Hats off to them all.
Thank you so much for posting this blog, I am a film student that aspires to one day reach your level. Your blog has been insightful and entertaining. I can't wait for the next video blog, I can't wait to see what I'll learn and see next!
You don't see this much devotion and dedication to the fans and supporters at any other movie premiere! Absolutely brilliant! Thank you so much Peter Jackson!
I wasn't even here but this video brought me to tears, haha. It's so beautiful to see the fans, the crew, so many people reunited by one universe (bound by one ring, if I may say) they're sharing and loving all together. I can't wait for next year.
Mr. Jackson you are far the greatest director in the world. I love how you directed these films. I had a few ideas in making movies myself. And I every film you make, you always leave them wanting more. You are the greatest.
Peter the idea of the production diaries has been the best so far... All the fans are very thankful for having the opportunity of watching all the process, the 266 days of filming and now a new masterpiece in the history of Cinema. Thank you. Going to watch it in HFR 3D! And remember this 48fps is a small step for Gollum a huge change in world perception of Cinema.
This series of movies will shine for many decades. I think beyond the durability of the most durable of all, The Wizard of Oz. I can't wait to see it again for probably the fifth time. WoW.
Thank you, Peter, thank you very much! I felt like I was a child again, back into the the world of wonders and magic. And I cried while watching this vlog, I don't even know why c: Thank you and all the cast! You're making our world better!
I was at this premiere thanks to my friend. I got my copy of the Hobbit signed by everyone. All the cast and crew were very nice. I’ll always remember PJ having 6 bodyguards
Every time i hear that shire/hobbit theme music, i break down. Honestly, that music is so beautiful, i get transported to rolling green hills of the hobbiton, the white walls of Minas Tirith, the magical forest of Mirkwood as soon as i hear one note. Then i realise i cant go to middle earth 😭. Great job Howard Shore on the amazing music and great job to the cast and Peter Jackson that made the LOTR/The Hobbit movies unforgettable! Those movies have changed so many lives and inspired so many imaginations!!!
I didn't dress as a Dwarf, or an Elf or even an Hobbit. I didn't wait in line for hours or day. I didn't buy any merchandise or t-shirt or hat! The only thing I did was read and love the book and then buy the ticket. Thank you Peter for the most awesome and inspirational experience in cinema I've ever had! Always nice to go back to Middle Earth and visit old friends! Great movie... and I cannot wait for the sequels!
I was in Auckland during this premiere and it just totally killed me that I couldn't be there :( Hopefully I'll make it to Wellington this year for The Desolation of Smaug!
Thanks for posting this. As one of the many who couldn't make it on the day, it is good to see what went on behind the scenes. I all those who put the day together, thank you.
when i watched the hobbit, the very beginning made me cry a bit, just knowing that i finnaly got to see this movie. Thank u Peter and actors for your amazing movie. Best of luck to the next 2 and i will be watching all the production videos of them.

This premiered 6 years ago but I still get teary whenever I watch this video. The magic of Middle Earth 💕
Crying right now.
Yessss😭😭
I'm teary in mid 2023 😊
Peter, your little toddler daughter as a hobbit child was by far the most cute and adorable thing in history of cinema, by far!
She was recruited by Epstein
Idk, Sean Astin's daughter as Elanor was cute too!
How about Baby Groot? I think that's the most adorable thing😍yeah...I know Lotr was way before the Guardians of the Galaxy movies...
@@WhoamI27676 That's not a real thing. You are assinging value to a fake artificial object.
Brown nose much! Cringe!
That just put such a huge smile on my face :D
I love how elijah just strolls around
I'm fallen in love with middle eath!!! New Zealand is so amazing!!! Beautiful, just beautiful!!!
0/10 Too many orcs and goblins.
