Biggest piece of advice I can give.... Get yourself some good hearing protection. Vacuuming may not sound too loud but over time it can damage your hearing. Save your ears, you won't regret it.

I had a green donut on St Paddy's day. I wasn't sure I wanted it but it said Krispy Kreme on the box and it was free so I had to try it. It didn't taste any different than normal but donuts just aren't supposed to be green

The sad part is that you *know* the very next time they're open some customer is going to spill something on that rug. 🤣 That happened to my store once. Overnight carpet cleaning, next morning we're open for maybe 10 minutes and I go back to the kids section (bookstore with coffee shop) and discover a lovely giant splotch where someone spilled their ENTIRE cinnamon mocha and just decided not to tell anyone. I wasn't mad - just disappointed. lol
True. Just one area though at least not the entire carpet.

I'm a cashier at a grocery store, prime suspects are blueberries and any glass bottles (alcohol, sauces, juices). Thankfully, we stand on tile floors.

Humans are animals; most people like to watch attractive people. Very few people are not (at least subconsciously) shallow in that way.
Unemployed? Go to work for a cleaning company like this. Recession proof. Corona virus has kept me busy all year, everybody wants their door handles disinfected. Cleaners are never short on work, and i;ve never heard of cleaning company go on a hiring freeze

Yeah thinking of the donut fryer grease plus the sticky residue from coffee and frosting. I worked in a building with a Starbucks, and that powdered sugar made its way through all the ventilation eventually, left a nice sticky film on everything.
The water was bad

Kitchen floors are easy to clean, carpet in other areas isn’t. Run a hoover over it and the dust and dirt is picked up. But, the grease walked through from the kitchen just sits there. I’m surprised it wasn’t far worse

Restaurant carpet typically has very little to no nap, so fewer long fibers for the filth to cling to.
It was a newer restaurant as well. Only been open less than a year at this point.

I respect you guys for the pride you take in your work and finding a way to make repeated mundane tasks a challenge by constantly working on lines. Looks amazing and shows professionalism, hard to find nowadays especially with my generation.
I love what you guys do and love your attitude. A little tip: you might want to invest in some more personal protection equipment. Custom molded earplugs could save your hearing in the long run, it's not that expensive and they can also reduce fatigue from hearing the machines all day.
Also you might want to consider breathing protection. Most of the stuff you guys do is pretty harmless, but as professionals you do get around dirt, dust, chemicals and other kinds of potentially harmful substances over an extended period of time. I've worked in a large automotive paint department and used several respirator systems and I think the 3M Versaflo system would be great for you guys. It's comfortable to wear, gives sublime protection and can even handle odors. They are used widely by all kinds of professionals and also by medical personnel as they offer great Covid protection. Take a look at the systems they offer and maybe have a chat about it with your doctor. I'm not affiliated with 3M in any way, I just care about people's health.

who knows they might get a tax write off if they make filtering water a part of their practices.
You can drain a sample into a bottle and the heavy sediment will usually separate before the hoses are wrapped.

Watched your skate rink video but couldn’t leave a comment. Anyway, with regards to the wall, have you guys tried the car detail trick of using a drill brush to get after those really tough stains? I think that would have helped in that situation.

It's so cool to see someone doing what I do for a living, yet I know no one else who knows a carpet cleaner! I also do installation. Those carpet squares in that restaurant are probably the cheapest floors you can do so it might have been around the same price to just peel them up and replace them (you use pressure sensitive glue for them and they STAY sticky so it's easy to remove and you don't have to re-glue). And man let me say that dirty water when you dump the tank is so satisfying!!!
