I couldn't BELIEVE HOW MUCH IT COST ME, to add 800 square feet to my backyard golf green!

- Finally got our golf green extension complete. We built and constructed the green extension according to USGA specifications. I'll also go over the cost i had in material, its a bunch of money to spend on golf.
Let us know how we are doing, email me at: jsflc78@gmail.com Развлечения
thanks for the PRO TIP with the 2x6 cleaning the compactor! never thought of that.
I too have binged watched entire channel thus far. Awesome series.
The process is amazing. The material cost is one thing but damn the labor! Most people watching this probably understand but holy cow what a labor of love. Keep up the good work!
I’m guessing another 10 grand for labor and equipment.
If you're going to fight it sinking anyways it may be fun to have a 2 tier green? Make for another challenge on the green.
The root zone material is slightly cheaper in your area than mine. We run around $45/CY in Central Missouri.
Can't wait to see how it turns out
In a year from now it’ll be good. In two years very good. In five- perfect. You should do a video with an long term plans or wish list ideas .
Great idea.
You sir are an artist!
Haha, dirt artist!
Nice work mate. Can’t wait to see how it comes out.
First comment award buddy!
Added top dressing this year to the course along with a roller and almost doubled green speeds. Can’t wait to see the new toys u get in coming years, just adds even more enjoyment
I should have a few new pieces in upcoming weeks.
Looks great! Can’t wait to see the little green haze!
Me tooooo!!!!
I have learned a ton from your adventure. Thanks for sharing it with us!
I’m learning from you guys too.
Now everyone should know why golf cost so much. I was working at Sedgefield CC when they did the rebuild. They did not use any fabric in the greens. I was the guy that rolled the greens just before and after seeding.
They say the average green cost $100k to build.
Total cost to be entertained by Spud Run Golf. $0.00. Total value by watching Spud Run Golf, PRICELESS!
That was a really good episode.
Just need to get some Yoga pants!!!
@@SpudRunGolf lol. I see what you did there!!
We would mix the bent seed in Milorganite and use a drop spreader for consistency and ease of spreading.
The Milorganite had a very low burn rate and would act as a starter.
Well shoot. I’ll know better next time. Thanks for the input.
lets go! wish I did not have snow on the ground putting practice is all I got. keep it up I love to see how and what your doing.
It's going to look great!!
I think so too.
Nice job Jeremy, your hard work will pay off. Stay blessed.
Thanks Ronald.
Love the channel. Keep the videos coming
Jeremy, you are doing an amazing job my friend! From an agronomy standpoint you are doing everything correct! Keep up the awesome work and count in the wife and I to come up for the next Spud Run Golf tournament! Keep up the awesome work my friend!
Thanks Josh.
Loving your channel, can’t wait to see the results!!!
Thanks.
Jeremy, I was hoping you'd make it a Mackenzie green! Great effort 👌 can't wait to see the results.
That rain...diabolical
Jeremy, your videos are fun watching. Thanks for sharing the experiences with all! Certainly you're having a blast. You should feel proud my man!
Looking great so far! I feel like you could use an "I did that" sticker :-)
It’s looking good! Nice work!
Thanks
Not only are you talented but a math wizard also. Really enjoy the updates and watching the progress. The satisfaction achieved when this is done will be worth it. Tucson Mike
Haha, I’m no math wizard but I do quantity and area calculations on a daily basis.
Looking good!
Thanks buddy.
I bet that was rough just tearing all that hard work you put in up! But I am sure it will all be worth it! Keep up the great work, but it's hard waiting a week for the next video, haha. But I know you are a busy man. Great content as always!! (Chuck from Scioto)
Thanks Chuck.
It's certainly not cheap but I'm sure you'll be glad with the end result!
I think so, well I hope so anyways.
Nice ! looking forward to next video.
Love it! It's going to be so amazing!
Thanks Greg
@@SpudRunGolf again, this cost is going to be repaid in more video likes, more traffic on your channel from the work that you put in and the content that you’ll be able to do, and your guys/gals that play will be so happy to have more room to shoot to on the green. It’s a definite home run and the satisfaction that you will get from it will be even more incredible. The fruits of your labor will be overflowing!! Happy for you, buddy!! Sorry for the short response initially, I didn’t want to watch and not leave something!!
Awesome to see the progress! Thanks as always for sharing. Stoked to see how it plays once the new grass comes in
AWESOME!!!
First class episode as always Jeremy. Amazing job with the green extension, it’s going to huge, and much harder to miss…. ;)
👍👍 Well done
Two big thumbs up 👍🏼 👍🏼. I am really looking forward to the next one to see all of that fresh bent grass coming up. You are killing it! Well done. #spudrungolf
Me too!
Great job as always. Looking forward to seeing the new tie in with the old. From an aerial view it looks like a true proper size opposed to the old postage stamp (that was tough to hit from several tees!). The golf course list shown has a bunch of world class courses on it, so Spud Run is running with the big boys now.
Hopefully it’ll be rolling sweet come next year.
You definitely put in the work that's for sure
It sure was a lot of work buddy.
I binge watched all the videos... A man putting his professional skills to his passion. Absolutely incredible to see literally a hole of dreams come to life. Hope this channel blows up
That’s awesome, the channel is gaining momentum.
nice job
Great video! Really like watching your content!!
I appreciate you tuning in Nick.
I love everything about this process. Tremendous job. Playing Spud Run is going to be a bucket list item for me.
You should get some golf merch made with your logo. I’d love to get a golf ball, towel, vinyl sticker from you.
A bag tag!
One of these days buddy.
thanks for mentioning the type of bentgrass. I'm using something different I get from Oregon direct made a push up green.
real nice! just make sure Moose doesn't try to hit any flop shots on the green.
Moose don’t have a flop shot in his bag!
In this hole process, do you regret any of it. I get that most of this backyard golf course can be very satisfying. I guess what I'm asking is, is there one thing that you regret about the hole thing. Great stuff to by the way.
I’d have to think about, might be a whole video on that topic.
That dirt 10/10
Heck ya!
Damn good job! You touched on working some indulation into the extension... did you sketch or have something specifically in mind to provide more target cup areas or did you improvise as you raked and contoured? 👍🍺
No predesigns. I’m fairly decent at winging it. Haha
So that’s why a green is as smooth as concrete.
Haha, I reckon
Catching up on some Spud Run....hate to say it but that green makes Kim's hay burners seem cheap....Jason
Heck no! Don’t tell her that!!!
What will you do if someone hits a ball on that? Is the entire green off limits for a month or so? Might be good to let the other existing green heal up?
They will be shot on-site if I catch them on it. Hopefully damn dogs stay away.
What company did you use for your rootzone mix?
Arms Trucking. If ya google them they will come up.
When you can't consistently hit the green, expand it, haha!
I suppose another trap is in the works for next year?
Heck no. I hate raking that damn thing
It's a waste of money. 90% sand and 10% peat is a perfect rootzone mix for everyone bentgrass cultivars. If you used penncross that was a horrible move. Poa grass enjoys this kinda of rootzone mix
I told you! $2 million.
