This is your best video yet Joe. I particularly like that you give time estimates for how long each attraction should take. I have a question about the Golden Mount; it's a temple, but I noticed several men in your video wearing shorts and t-shirts. Do they not enforce the temple dress code there? I ask because I'm still trying to decide what I will wear to meet the "below the knees & elbows" requirement. I don't really relish the idea of doing all of my site-seeing in trousers and long sleeved shirts.
John thanks for your kind comments! Actually I was just at Wat Saket / Golden Mount last week! So…. Signage says long pants / no shorts. However; I was wearing “long shorts” and collared shirt and no one said anything to me. But women should cover their shoulders I think. Side-note!!! They are doing construction on the very peek! You cannot access the top where the best view is. But can still enjoy view from next level down. Good luck 👍- let me know what ya think? - Joe
@@wanderlustingwithjoe I am thinking about buying a sarong when I arrive and carrying it in my sling bag so I can put it on over my longish shorts if needed to enter a temple. What do you think of this idea?
Most tourists just buy a 100thb - $3.00 usd pair of elephant pants to keep in their bag for temple visits - women need cover their shoulders- no tank tops. - Enjoy 👍😀
Hi- this video may help you out- and right at the pier are independent canal longtail boats you can negotiate most anywhere you wanted to go. Keep me posted on your adventure- Joe ruclips.net/video/nlFrGMIFJnk/видео.htmlsi=yXytG2O9Xt107KsX
I hope you have an amazing time! How long is your visit? Ironically I return home to Bangkok tomorrow! ❤️. I have been traveling for almost 3 months! Can’t wait to get back to Bangkok! Stay in touch- Joe
thanks. I’ll be arriving Wednesday of next week and stay til Friday. On that I’ll go to Angkor Wat for a couple of days then go to Chiang Mai for about a week. I’ll finish the trip and have a couple more days in Bangkok before I fly out. Rob
Wow. Your itinerary is good. There are so many things to do in Bangkok which you definitely cannot do it all. So. I would definitely try out your itinerary with a bit of tweak into it. But all in all, your trip is great. Day one, The Jim Thompson house is always amazing to see. Then the boat trip to one of the view point of the old town area is great experience and way to escape the traffic. The Golden mountain is amazing place. China town for a change at night, plus plenty of good food. Way to end the day. Not to tiring as well. Day two is great Bangkok back street area, but if manage well I think you can add a few interesting stop there. The icon siam is nice big luxury hall to have a look around. Day three at the Grand Palace is beautiful, but as you mention, can be really hot in there. For people who has more energy can do more stuff in the area. So, the 3 days itinerary is great. I'll give it a 9 out of 10 itinerary. Maybe because I like to put lots of things in the day. So, if there are few more things I'll definitely give it 10/10. However, it is only my own opinion, this could easily be 10 out of 10 for many people who don't need to fit many things in. So. Great one krub. Thx for sharing. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 I'll do the video base on your itinerary for sure.
Huge thank you 🙏 for your detailed response and kind words about my Bangkok itinerary! This one was a lot of work and also fun to make 👍. I use this itinerary when my friends or family come to visit! Hope you can share with others? And also thank you again for your excellent critique 🙏 - Joe
Hello I will be in the RAMKHAMHAENG AREA/ Bang kapi I know the canal is very close. Can I take the canal boat mostly to get around? Does the canal routes show up on Google maps or only buses and trains?
The canal boat is a Thai transport method. Not built for tourists; but accomodates tourists. I don’t know about Google maps. But use my video for first experience and go from there. It will all come together- Joe

Hi. I got a Q. How did you travel from wat pak nam to iconsiam on day 2?
I negotiated a boat price at the pier near the Artist house to take me to Iconsiam
