Walking to the palace we had a young man tell us the palace was closed until 4:30 for a ceremony and suggested three other places to go. He also suggested we take a tuktuk which was waited right there for 200bht and have him wait for us at each site. We weren't even in front of the palace. It was credible because we were returning having not been able to enter the temple with the Emerald Buddha because of a ceremony earlier in the week. The palace was not closed and we were able to go into the temple. It should be noted that the tickets are good for a week and that the royal theater show is included and well worth the time.
Sawasdee Khun Chon 🙏 thanks again for the great info ❤ I’m coming to BKK end of May and will tour the Grand Palace up to Tha Maharat 👍 Cheers from Myanmar 🙏
Thank you so much for your detailed sharing, I believe it's going to be a fun trip for my family. I was just thinking sbout not speaking Thai and worried to be escond to a different location from what I asked for and still not know I've been "tricked" - totally appreciate you 😊 and the infos...awesome!
Such an exciting and informative video. So much has changed to the Grand Palace from my visit several years ago. Many improvements are great, and you gave me some ideas for my next trip.
Thanks for the great hotel suggestion no need to get on the BTS or MRT to get to those attractions especially during rush hour. Will have to keep it in mind when I go to Thailand. Thanks.
Thank you so much for your Videos. I visited The Grand Palace an Wat Pho (incl. Massage 😊) today. Sure, there were lots of people but the reclining Buddha and all the beautiful buildings around the palace and Wat Pho were worth it.
Your videos are very helpful for us visiting Bangkok for the first time. We were in Bangkok last week and the weather is very hot. Guess it’s not the best time to visit Bangkok.
Thank you for this video. We’ve been through the 3 temples you showed but this time we’re going to visit with our son and his girlfriend complete with the costume and photographer! Have you done a video on Ancient City? I love your videos and have been a subscriber since you had 12 k subscribers!
Hello Chon, Another great video ! Besides the main attractions in bangkok, which hidden places do you suggest to visit in this lovely City? Thank you so much. Take care my friend.
Thank you, I have actually intention of planning for quite long that I want to stay in area Chinatown for about 2 days and to explore those area in Chinatown and Grand palace area like what you have share is this video but have been delay will be postpone to after my trip plan to Hua Hin next month this year.
The one time I had massage at Wat Pho massage school about 20+ years ago, I could choose either outside under a shade or small semi-private room with A/C. I chose outside for the experience of humid, sweaty massage on a straw mat. It was not pleasant but unique experience. The cost was much lower than elsewhere since this was not the school's main business, the service was bare minimum and the masseuses were students. Now I see it has evolved into tourist-oriented service with the price matching or higher than outside going rate.
@@friendsfromthailandtravelguide i also want to add wat saket . So 5-7 hours ? so maximum probably 4 , max 5 temples in a full day without starting way to early ? I booked those hop on all day tuk tuks . So that will cut a bunch of time.
Please me and my wife want to visit Thailand during the festival Loy Krathong Can we see Loy krathong in Bangkok AND take plane to see also Loy krathong in Chiang mai at 2025 ? It seems that not the same day and very good for us come from France 12000 km from each
The king is actually crowned in the Phaisantaksin hall behind the Amarinwinitchai throne hall, not at the Charki Maha Prasat throne hall. But otherwise very good video!
Chon not only helpful videos but also very handsome and now I know very sexy also....Good healthy fit body.... I love Bangkok because of Chon, My New Friend from Thailand!!!!!!!!
I think there are much better places to visit in Bangkok. These attractions are packed with Lots of other Tourist. Also you have to pay entrance Fee with Double pricing for foreign people. To see the real Thailand i can recommend Not to visit These places.
I’m very surprised by the prices too! I went to Wat Arun in 2016 and I think it was 40-50baht (but it was under construction). I’m planning for a family trip and super reluctant to bring them to these places due to the exorbitant entrance fees, I’m gonna be honest that I don’t feel that paying those prices for a temple visit is worth it. But it’s their first visit it felt as if I should bring them there. Dilemma dilemma
@@lynbabysusu : I Think you can go better to other temples like Wat Traimit oder Wat Paknam. The Golden Mount (Wat Saket) is with 50 baht entrance fee ok. Bankgkok is full of sights. I will never go to Grand Palace, Wat arun or Wat Po again. Other bad thing in that area are the outrageous prices of the taxi drivers. They never use the meter there and they always want to have a much too high fix price. I also used to select a hotel in areas which are not so touristy. Thats how i want to see thailand. Most of the FfT videos are really great.
@@ChristiD75 i would recommend Not to visit These 'attractions'. Bangkok is so much more than These Hotspots. Book a Hotel in thonburi and enjoy the normal Life there. You will find great people, great food and Nobody want to have a Fee from you
Chon didn't mention that the entrance prices have increased since his last video. Why promote something like that when he gets to visit the same places for free ? Don't think he is a friend from Thailand. More like wants to rip tourists off.

Will be there may 9th ….
How long did it take you to finish these THREE temples ?
3-5 hours

Hello. May I ask? If booking for a cruise or anything, is it better to buy a ticket at the venue? Or from the Klook app?

As a Thai person, who hasn’t been back in a while, and don’t want to visit Wat; what other recommendations do you advise in Bangkok?
Do you provide tour guide service? We’re coming to Bangkok around Mar 23, 2025.
1). Wat Ratchabophit
2). Wat Saket (Golden Mountain)
3). Wat Rakhang Kositaram
4). Wat Chana Songkhram
5). Wat Paknam (Giant Buddha Statue)
Ajan agreed for tourists is easy. But harder for visiting monks. I am in Thailand and can not go most places even I am a tourist monk
Hotel name plz
I will come to bkk in January 2025. Where should i visit in bkk?
Chon ,You look tired doing this video content. Is it because of the heat?
