I bought a new, now old, T4 a few days ago. I was sad to see I missed a new version by a slim margin but then so happy to hear I would be able to pickup the new features separately. Thanks for making that happen.
We got a T3 last year and love it! This T4 overland edition looks like it would be a nice upgrade, then the kids could use the T3. The thing I like about the T3 though is that it fits in the vehicle across the back of the back seat headrests.
I have had my T4 now for 4 years.... Just ordered the overland upgrade package with the bigger, waterproof bag, footprint and stakes. The T4 is still going strong after a lot of use....A good friend of mine had an early version insta pop up tent. It zipped up into a big hoop. He took care of it and used it for years. Always thought it was a great idea. Then Gazelle came along....
I have the T3, best car camping tent I've ever had. Will definitely want to upgrade to the new stakes. I currently use a tarp as a ground sheet to protect the tent from rocks or sticks. First thing I wanted upgraded the first time I use the tent was I wished it had an awing or rain fly that stuck out away from the tent. In case it is raining and you need to get out of the tent, you have a buffer when you open the door and rain doesn't get inside the tent. Or you can use it to sit outside the tent and still enjoy nature. I'm going to try attaching a tarp and using some poles to extend it out.
I was disappointed with that as well & decided the same. My only real "complaint" is the small door opening. But I did A LOT of research prior to purchasing & the door configuration was a tradeoff for the overall quality of the tent.
Glad my Gazelle T4 got delivered last week. Plan on throwing this on my Gobi roof rack once it arrives for my overlanding G55 build so our great danes can hang w us in the tent at night when we're out. Love these videos.
Just ordered mine. I'm worried it's a bit too much tent for just me, but honestly from what I've seen it just looks like I wouldn't want anything else for under $500. I originally started out just wanting a $100 shower tent, but ended up going all in for this baby because it checks all the boxes. Can't wait for it to arrive! I did buy the easygo shower shelter and was going to return it, but maybe I'll keep it just because it's smaller and still a very fast setup
I just ordered mine. Unfortunately this weekend it should be raining on us when we get to camp. How wet does the inside get when setting up in the rain. This will be fun! 😂
Nice to have these options for those thinking of buying one. After having the T4 for about 6 months or so now I can honestly say I hate only one thing about it. The velcro floor.. it allows bugs and the elements in depending on the camping you're doing and where you place it. I eventually duct taped at the seam all around to keep the ants/spiders out and it's worked but a solid stitched flooring would be great.
Thanks for the offer but I’m loving it too much to part with it. Donald from the Soft Roading the West channel said in his review of the T3 that he heard they are updating it and it’ll be available again in the spring.
The single biggest thing missing on most all tents is the ability to seal off the mesh ceiling for cold weather use. I had to go to an ice fishing shelter to get that.
Nice looking tent, excited to see you're longer term use review. We were looking at the screen rooms that gazelle has, the bugs in Florida are monsters. Anyone here have experience with those?
We paid over $200.00 about twenty years ago for a Mountain Hardware brand backpacking tent. It's still in great shape. So...if this tent is well made, $350.00 isn't too pricey. Plus you can stand in it, unlike the backpacking tent I referred to.
SWEET!!... Christmas in July!!.. hahaha... great unboxing, fun video.. i am testing my t3 next weekend in the Sequoia National Park.. have a great trip! Wish i could join ya.. someday, i hope..👊🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🤙🏼
Hoof Hearted Lifestyle Have you looked into the smaller T3? That’s what I use and it fits in my LJ perfectly. It would fit in a TJ sideways no problem.
I really want one of these, but I don't think I have the room for it in my jeep. I have a large dog that takes up the entire back seat area, so all my gear is jammed in the cargo area. Not sure I can squeeze this in too
Same on our end with a large Corso. Trailer time to cut the weight down on the JKU! This tent will be great as well. We have a 23 Zero w/annex and a 270 with walls....Is sweet!
@@gazelle7736 Thank you for being an upstanding company that provides spares/upgrades to existing customers. This is 90% of the reason I went with your company. Glad to see you continue to hold the same philosophy.
I really want a Gazelle T-4, but it's stored length is 5.6 feet long...ugh. Even in my JKU, it won't fit unless I put it on top of the Jeep....which means running a rack. And if I'm going to run a rack, I might as well RTT, but I don't want a RTT! Ugh...
I'm a 5'2" Sr. female & have the T4+. It is huge & VERY heavy for me. I too am challenged w/transporting, but I don't have to consider children or pets. But I must say, I'm so glad I choose this tent over a smaller Gazelle...& definitely over cheaper, smaller optional brands since my plans are to do long term, multi-climate camping.
Love my Gazelle T4. Only used it twice so far. Will be ordering the upgrades as soon as I can. Will you post a vid letting us know when there are ready?
Hey Mikey! I liked it! I liked it a lot. An awesome piece of kit. I'll take one! Sold. If I may suggest. I've reached out to ARB to see if I, can purchase two "Swag Stretcher" aka Camp cots. I believe it to be of excellent design and very easy pop open one step set up. It holds up to 150Kg It's analogues to the Gazelle tent one piece pop up. Perhaps, a piece of kit to add to the O.B. store. Cheers, Mate.
Any thoughts on the tent itself? In all sincerity, I'm not being sarcastic. I'm indifferent to your comment - only curious if your slighting comment has any regards to the tent itself, or just the channel as a whole? *EDIT* Spelling
So happy the upgrades are available separately! This is what makes one company better than another.

@SilasZoeBell -That was the deciding factor for me as well. The T3 fits in my short bed Tacoma, the T4 would not.
You're lucky. I just found out about these tents and want the T3 for the same reason, but Gazelle is no longer making the T3

You ever gonna sell it again?
Hopefully the bag and stuff will be also available in green because my T4 is green
One day I will upgrade to Gazelle.

I can't find a T3 anywhere. If you want to sell it let me know.

I recently purchased a clam quick set pavilion and couldn't be happier with it. What's nice about it is the rain flys are attached and included.
Any update on the tent itself, like construction, size, materials?
I’ll do an extended review soon!

Are there any plans for an Overland Bound Gazelle T4X? We are very interested in the 4X.
Can’t wait to add some goodies to my current T4
any idea if they're going to make an "overland version" of the T3?
I emailed Gazelle and they said the T3 will no longer be made.

I just got the regular T4. Can't wait to use it!!

Not sure yet.

Just bought mine over the weekend, they shipped it out today, thanks for the info
Hi Sir, do they have plans to bring T3 overland edition?
We have a redesigned version of the T3 coming out later this year and a footprint accessory to match coming out at the same time.
Beautiful tent.... sadly I cant find a suitable tent from gazelle that would fit inside an old jeep tj. Wishing i had an LJ right about meow...

@@Motorep146 i believe they discontinued the T3 thats the one I wanted:(
03 TJ Rubicon and have the same issue. I want the T4 so I can stand up in it but it won't fit in the Jeep. I guess it's time for a Gladiator.
A t3 tent fits sideways in a yj should work on a tj

Could you tell me how long the new stakes for the Gazelle T4 Overland are?
Do members get a discount on this tent?
I’ve been using a tarp with my t4, I like that ground cover. Might have to pick that up.
What do you find wrong with using a tarp? I use a higher quality 8x10 and it works perfectly!

Inflation has affected this thing already 😔 or is it the overland tax?
Concerned about UV damage? Wrap bagged tent in cheap and replaceable tarp or piece of canvas
$350 is a completely reasonable price for a tent of that quality!
