I own a 10th gen si for two years and I’ll say it just doesn’t compare to the 8th gen si. The 8th gen si to me is so much fun. The k20 the 8th gen has is just perfect and really is a fun reliable engine. I’m scared to push my 10th gen too much.

The 8th, 9th gen Civics look pretty much the same as all other brand coups and sedans. The 10th gen looks more like an accord, its too big to be a Civic... Having a K series would be nice but I prefer the old school 6th gen and older Civics. Plus they are cheaper, easier to work on and have a much larger aftermarket support. Also K swapping an old school Civic is always good content just like the integra. I still say you should have kept the 1st gen CRV and K swapped/boosted that!!

It’s still an a3 but it already has a 50 degree vct gear, and type s oil pump along with the type s manifold and throttle body. Boost, nitrous, or a swap and these cars really are great. AND you get the best k series trans for boost if that’s the route you take. Eventually I wanna get an eighth gen for a daily and go 24/20 with it, eighth gens are such killer cars!

[Stock] 8th Si is not as hyped as they say; for a new driver, yeah, it's a quick car faster than your economy compact and family sedans. But, Honda didn't design it for high performance like the JDM/ADM FD2R. There's a lot of intake + exhaust, ECM, weight reduction, and suspension tuning needed to make it even competitive.

I'm watching this about 10 months after I bought my galaxy grey metallic fa5, I agree one thousand percent. It's the last Si made with Hondas true pedigree. I was looking at 9th gens too, drove one and the torque is nice but when I learned how garbage the head was it completely turned me off. Plus I would've had a car payment if I went with the 9th where as I got my 8th with cash. 180k miles, no engine mods, no leaks, vtec still pops. If an em1 can auction for $23k I think these will do okay. I'm pretty sure the market on them already bottomed and they'll only get more expensive from here, for clean stock(ish) ones.
