Loved this format of video! Enjoyed the bike riding portion and that you answered a client's question. I thought about using it in my fresh water bottle as well, but I could see that adding another level of complication to what I'm doing in my front bottle. It's easier to keep track of the concentrated front bottle and just worrying about fresh water in the 2nd.
We totally agree. Our app may make that easier, shortly, in terms of the kitchen prep part, but until we're synced up with Wahoos & Garmins, it would still require enough mental math on the fly that it wouldn't be worth it to us, even if it were free. We'll probably use up the rest of the bag as recovery ride fuel.
Loved hearing you at the Madison Multisport Zoom discussion. Looking forward to more product views. One of the things I struggle with as someone relatively new to endurance sports is trying to better understand the different between the plethora of products on the market to increase carbohydrate intake during my training. Definitely going to check our your app.
Great video! I enjoyed every aspect of this video. Thanks for sharing a clients question, explaining the ingredients of the supplement, your experience testing it while riding and sharing your final thoughts. It was fun to see you do this while riding.
@@Saturday_ProFuel lol y’all kinda already reviewed the product in another video,, something along the lines of “don’t trust gimmicks like ctt…”. I work for a farm and we have it around because it tastes good, and many people don’t drink enough water while working. App is great btw, been using it for my runs in the sierra Nevada’s
Fun format, and love that you used this format to answer your client's question! Seems like a good possible concept, but it definitely seems pricey. I think I'll stick with the concentrated bottle and the plain bottle, especially because it's easier to refill the plain bottle when out on the road, rather than having to carry more powder with me. But I wonder, for shorter rides, if just making a homemade unflavored version would be a viable and suitable option, because it didn't sound particularly tasty when first starting out!
Loving your vids + this kind of format. Working through them, but would love to see you walk through your hydration strategy, including your super concentrated mix, what's in it (literally just table sugar + sodium citrate?), etc. Working thru your vids now, so maybe I just haven't found that one yet... :)

enjoyed you answering the question, especially since you were lucky enough to not have to spend money to do so. No doubt price point will be the real issue with each, regardless of taste😉
Great video as always. And this on the go review was fun. Right now I use two bottles for my carb/electrolytes and get my water from a camelback. This way I can freeze the second bottle solid and still have cold fuel after an hour or two in the Texas heat. Cheers !
After riding with Skratch only (no water) for a year my dentists noticed a real decline in my teeth health. He asked if I was using a lot of sports drink. His observation has that sipping sports drink (like we do when we ride) was really bad for dental health. His comment was that it's better to chasing with plain and wash for mouth out. That's one reason I think a plain water bottle is good to have.
Completely agree! That's precisely what we recommend too, for the very same reason! Dental health is easily the best argument against high-carb fueling.
Follow-up: Alex tried concentrating it later to increase sodium and carb concentration, and the result was "tastes and has mouthfeel like lemon oil..." pretty weird.
@@dianahellman9254 I'd give it a 7 out of 10 for flavor (lack of flavor) at recommended concentrations. It gets weird quick if you concentrate it though. Worse than Peach hydration, if you ask me (Alex), but I bet Michelle would feel differently.
Salt + Water + insert favorite flavor of powdered beverage mix. We use Gatorade usually, because we're cheap and love supporting "big sugar." /sarcasm... just cheap. If you want to get fancy, use sodium citrate. Lots of sellers on Amazon or kitchen supply stores.

Thank you Andrew! Was a fun one to film too.
Good review, especially while mountain biking. Loved the “sticker shock”!
Always gets me. PS. sorry for all the late replies to your comments. Just learned there is a "comments I haven't responded to" page in YT Studio.

Glad it was worth it. Next time I'll narrate while doing jumps, instead of a green MTB run.
@@Saturday_ProFuel I think jumps would be a good addition if the review is related to "how easy is Product XYZ to eat while riding"! 😆
Enjoy the question setup and rides. Looking forward to that liquid iv review I saw in the box
Send more hours in the day and we'll jump right on it!!

For sure! It's pricey, but impressively flavorless carbs & sodium!
Looking forward to a liquid IV review (saw it in the box). I like it post run because it taste good, not sure if it does any good lol.
We look forward to it too!

We do the same! Hadn't considered freezing the second. Great idea!

Whats your opinion with liquid IV??
Expensive salt! Works fine. :)

Um... how does that rate compared with the prior "vomit" flavored skratch?

Chasing with water is better for your teeth!
True!
