Pre-built systems are sometimes so hard to understand. In that system they were spent like 20..30% of total cost into integrated graphics what never got even used. Finally! I had one of these, still have parts of it. My father bought me one for my birthday when i turned 15, came with an i7-4790 and… well, a gtx 760. The computer came with only 8 gigs of memory and A 27” 1440P 144HZ MONITOR. IN A BUNDLE ON AMAZON. It was an awful pairing but I didn’t know, still loved it. Eventually put 16gb of 1866mhz ram in (only ran at 1600, blunder #1) and a gtx 1660 (asus pheonix non-blower card, blunder #2) and significantly increased performance. Also tried to install a 1 TB samsung ssd in place of the seagate 1 TB SSHD… but the motherboard would not have it (blunder #3). Also barely ever got the new gpu to work in the mobo, literally hot swapped it in to trick the motherboard. Because it was my only pc and I hadn’t taken one apart before + needing to learn how to take it apart while doing it due to its highly proprietary nature, I never measured max GC size (blower would have fit perfectly ugh). I ended up using vice grips and a hammer (with the motherboard IN THE CASE) to break off parts of the frame to mount the GC in place. It was a miracle it worked, and i have since taken the GC and SSD and built a proper well planned PC to game with. I have plans to use the processor and SSHD from the g20 in a spare gaming pc setup for my place in the future. Still using the monitor with my current PC atm. Thankyou for reading my long comment!

By making this PC, Asus made it impossible to find better looking PC case. Seriously, they should make a PC case like this for ITX DIY PCs. I own one of those and it is still amazing. The only flaw is that it has a special, dedicated motherboard, which severely limits upgradeability. You are stuck with older cpu socket, so you can not use better cpu. Also, memory is limited to 16 gigs max (2 slots). Only thing worth upgrading is to replace HDD with SSD for better gaming (sata 3 only, as this motherboard does not have nvme slots). But, even today, this machine from 2014 with I7 4790 & GTX 980 is still amazing for 1080p 60+ FPS, even in newer titles.

    1) Would the onboard graphics of the A10 perform better?

So this was my first ever PC that I could game on. This thing overheated a whole lot and resulted in my FPS just dropping to a slideshow so I changed out the GPU to a 950 (no idea what was originally inside) and then had more issues as the GPU was not designed for the small form factor case for cooling wise. I then completely ripped it apart and just have it sitting in pieces in my garage somewhere and thus started building my own PC. If that thing wouldn't have been so horrible, I probably would of never learned and jumped into the custom PC building community. The GPU in that computer is nowhere near the one I had. I want to assume it was around when they first came out and I want to say it was maybe a 750 but I sold that GPU to a friend at school so I have no idea on what it was.

mine came with a 750, I still have it. It was a nice card for the time, and still works well. The design was super wacked with that dumb pcie right-angle riser they had to put it on, but they somehow managed to stuff a full-width gpu in there lmao

The four main areas for upgrading the 'local experts' will probably be advising you on are -
Processor (Worth finding out how good a processor you can install in the socket before upgrading the GPU), Ram (16gb is a sweet spot for gaming and on this machine is more than enough)
, Hard Drive (The 128gb ssd boot drive already installed so ok and the 1tb hdd for storing games is fine.), Graphics Card (This upgrade will be determined by how good a CPU you can get, no point going to high with a GPU if your CPU is limited. Also if you don't want to set up the second brick, the GPU upgrade will be limited as it will only be powered off the motherboard, using the single power brick.) A RX550 maybe possible, it needs about 10% more power than a GTX1050 which I know runs fine when I tested it on a single power brick.
