I was able to replace my tell tale battery in my IGT G23 without needing to contact a slot tech. Thank you for posting this extremely helpful video!!👍Well done!
Great video! I can't see the type of battery you used as the replacement (thumb was blocking the view). Can you tell me the battery pack you used as the replacement?
It's a 3.6v 1650 MAH - it has a custom molex on it to fit IGT's backplane molex, but that's not necessary - just make sure you have the pin out correct when you connect it to the board. Or, buy the complete one here: www.spininc.com/comp64-igt-g20-3-6volt-igt-1650mah-ni-mh
Could this be causing a C error code? I cannot find out what a C code is. But I did have a battery tilt error code right before I moved. Any help is appreciated.
"C" means that the switch on the CPU door is in the open state. You need to put a piece of paper or something on the switch to close it. It's behind the door on the CPU brain box that has the 2 secure USB ports in it.
@@HomeSlots Ok that is on the bottom of the slot right? Above where I would download games and the E-key USB? There is a piece of paper there and I wonder if it just isn't tight enough as I just moved the slot to a new house.
Marc one more question, IGT G20 has this error message " Configuration Verification Required" I'm waiting for replacement battery for Battery Tilt but now this shows up, any idea what to do? Thanks
It's used for a lot of things: Communicating your coin in/coin out from players card, jackpot notification to attendants, remote disable of machine, etc.
Hello, I just bought a IGT G23 2011 multi player slot. Before I bought it, it was working. The guy I bought from had it hooked to 2 other machines. When I got it home and booted it up, I get a No Sync on the main screen and red, blue and green striped box up top. I do get a beep every few seconds. I unpluged it for a day and plugged back in. I got the AVP splash on the top and bottom and then went to no sync. Any thoughts please?
by the sounds of it, the seller had the game programmed to be a linked game. from what i’m hearing you’d either have to see if you can change the settings by entering the tech menu. or worse comes to worse, ram clear and re program it.
Thank you very much for the video. It was extremely helpful. Can you assist me with this? I changed the telltale battery just as you described, but when I re-booted the machine the "batteries tilt" error came back up. I decided to re-boot it again right after that and there was no more error message - the game played great. Now, every time I start up the machine, the "batteries tilt" error comes up. I then immediately re-boot it and the error goes away. I was doing this process for several months and decided to change the telltale battery again. Same thing. 1st start-up gives the "batteries tilt" error, but an immediate re-boot eliminates it. Any thoughts?
It might be the two batteries that are in the IGT Signature card located in the cpu box. It’s the card that has a ribbon cable going into it. You’d have to power down the machine, open the bottom door, unplug all cables and pull the brain box out. They are just nickel batteries you can get at Walmart.
@@HomeSlots I searched for a video of how to do that, but I can't find one. Do you know if there's a video that can take me through that step-by-step? I'm worried about messing it up.
The light that surrounds the speaker above the screen on my G23 works intermittently. Sometimes it turns off and if I bang on the speaker grill the light will come back on or come back dimly. Any idea what would cause that like something specific in there that could be loose ?
I HAVE THE SAME ISSUE AS YOU . the issue is the speaker plug on the board is bad < I have to move it around a tad till it connects and it is located on the very bottom door on the G20
I'm purchasing one of these for $500 in it's going to be delivered this week I know it has a dead battery or low battery warning do I need to buy reset chip to reprogram after I do what you did with the batteries on this machine

@@podfun Not sure I would advise that, but it might work. Pro-tip, you can buy cheap batteries on ebay that are meant for older cell phones. Just need to match up the voltages. You'll have to remove the small white plastic wire plug on the board in order to get non-official batteries to fit

would the meters need to be captured before doing this if a player tracking sentinel is being used?
Do you have a video on replacing an IGT S2000 soldered battery and reset? Thanks for your videos.
I can do one for the battery, I have plenty of videos on doing a reset. Just posted one an hour ago btw.
Top dollar machine has blue ambulance looking truck lit up and saids call attendant, and the paper light is on. It is full of paper. Any ideas?????

Battery was replaced on my machine, this machine the service button gives you credits and now that is no longer working, any ideas?
Make sure you plugged everything back in. The TITO module has a USB for power and a 5 pin cable for the Comm 1 port on the backplane.
@HomeSlots
only usb was removed and that was plugged back in. The red data light blinks 2 slow and then like 30 fast and repeats.
Marc, where can I buy the battery? IGT G20 thanks and I sub to Cowboy Slots too!
