- Today, taking a look at a hopper issue on an IGT S+ 5 Times Pay 5 Line that a customer brought in. Hoppers can be a real pain in the butt, I can see why casinos were so quick to get rid of coin in and out!
Was it throwing a code? Mine is throwing 1016 and I think it’s the same prob that you just fixed. I hope I can try the same thing. Thank you!
hey, i'm from Argentina! and just bought an s2000 and hopper was disabled. First I need to buy the key chip to disable coinless mode (I suposse), and then, despite hopper is installed, I see that there are some wires disconected, i think the people who disabled it also disconected the module from main board. Can you help me where to see the proper conection for my cables to make it work? Thanks very much!
Marc, do you know of anyone in Southern California that repairs slots? I have an IGT-20 that is broken thanks so much.

I have a jam in my hopper. Older double diamond machine with the reels on the bottom not the top so you have to access the hopper from the top. I need to spin the hopper backwards to clear the jam. Is there a way to release the brake to spin it backwards?
I have a simular igt in which the drum does not spin when cashing out. Any thoughts?
My middle reel is not registering, no pay out. Any suggestions?

Last one is an SAVP. Try closing the door without the top bracket above the door, very notorious for that. Also, the top cherry switch can be wired to normally closed or just put it inside and jumper it, it is pressed in by a top bracket/plate above the door. Bottom/belly door will not close if the main door is not exactly in place and that top bracket/plate can prevent this.
I have an 1980's Ballys 25cent slot machine and the coin just drops right through and I dont see a coin comparitor in the normal place ? Do you have any ideas? Thanks
I have a hopper that just keeps spinning and kicking coins out. Doesn't stop, any ideas?
Could be a bad hopper optic, with a bad knife it usually does not dispense coins, they just keep churning in the hopper as it runs
First check the coin out optic (U shapped plastic peice) on top of the hopper that the coin passes through, somtimes a lever that hits a switch. If the CPU does not have the ability to count the coins it will keep running (runaway hopper) Hope that helps

I have a same hopper. I just ordered new and it keeps spinning and spin all the coin out. Is there a reset or anything simple fix ?
Could be many things - Do you have the right sized coins for the hopper you purchased? Does it spin the coins around in a circle or does it just keep spitting them out?
Would love to see a video on how to covert a $1 machine to a 25Cent machine. And would love to see what regular maintenance these things need.

I've got 28 years of casino slot technician experience, would love to help you out with your machines. That hopper bowl comes off with 4 screws/springs and makes it much easier to work on the knife/shelf wheel/coin guide. found your video looking for an old S, not S+. You have an S2000, good find, very easy to work on. Hit me up, i can help with the belly door not closing right, easy fix. Very cool you have these. we can't own them in Missouri yet. Chris

Hi Chris. Do you have any advise for me? I have player's edge draw poker machine that says "hopper empty" please call attendant. The hopper had been empty virtually it's whole life and never triggered this error message. No jams or knife issues. I've tried going through the menu and testing the hopper, it makes noise but will not spin. Any advice would be appreciated. Also, should the hopper be able to spin without being hooked up to the machine? Thanks.

So Universal, what's the deal with them? I don't know anything about them this is my first, it was given to me. The only experience I have with slots is Sam's Town in Vegas, lol.

I for one greatly appreciate you taking the time to make this video, I purchased a used hopper on eBay for over $200 and it didn't solve my problem, it was that plastic knife, worn as bad on the one from eBay, paid $20 off eBay, got the new knife, installed and adjusted it and all is well. wish I had watched your video before I ordered it, not work sending back to seller as shipping was half the cost of the hopper. Guess having spare parts is not a bad thing
