Serious Monty Python and the Holy Grail vibes there - Ranolph: 'Kobolds? Right. Silly little bleeders! One Kobold stew coming right up!' ...5 seconds later. Rest of party: 'Run away! Run away!' Really good fun, thanks! My copy of the book just arrived yesterday and I'm plotting my brave group's downfall in the Murky Mountains.
This was fantastic! Y'alls videos and cover of the game made me pick the rules up for myself. Currently on my fifth turn and my team is about to delve! Thanks for sharing such a cool game and I look forward to seeing more videos in this campaign!!
Thanks for the video. We also fought gnawlings last night (we used skaven) and we also got wrecked. We got lucky on our death rolls and only suffered a damaged shield.
Old Adventurer, "The kobold lunged at my chest and shattered my shield." Noob Adventurer, "That doesn't sound too bad." Old Adventurer, "I was wearing my shield on my back!"
@@IvanSorensen I like that it is fluid with the pushbacks rather than stuck together trading die rolls. It reminds me of Mordheim. I slightly prefer DUN combat which is very similar but has opposed rolls but this is very very good. I like the three exchange system.
Great playthroughs, seen reviews that said this system was tedious and lacked overall direction, now have to rethink as that seems wrong. Still awaiting my full LoD so not sure if I want to dive into another system as have LoD 1.3 physical and Lasting Tales digital...
I've played some Five Parsecs campaign games and some Five Leagues campaign games; I can say that starting off with low level characters and a lack of system experience makes for a brutal grind. For the first few games, not dying should be the goal, failing (or barely passing) the mission is an acceptable outcome until you earn some XP and gear up a bit. By then you'll also learn how the game flows and how to prioritize your actions/targets.

Fantastic video, thank you. I love how brutal 5L can be and the emergent narrative your party create.
Nothing is more surprisingly dangerous than Kobolds in tight quarters
I guess that would make him ”quiet-during-mornings” forester 😁
Oh god.....the Kobolds......the Kobolds......
“I wanted a mission, and for my sins, they gave me one.”
Penelope Haberdasher's name really makes me smile.
Which company makes those dungeon walls; they look nice and chunky.
This is a great episode.
Same, I want those walls!
Honestly the Setting Objectives and having monsters wander between them with a random dice roll might be something I nick for D&D
Damn, I was hoping that Geoffrey Jarrett was going to hit those kobolds with the Stroke while calling everybody a Slapnut.
Little did the party know, the lair was inhabited by Tucker's Kobolds...
No no no no no!!!!

BTILC, one the best movies of all time, right behind Buckaroo Bonsai
I am shocked! This game is so deadly!
Vicious little things, those kobolds! What's an epic adventure without some setbacks, though?
Thanks for the video.

Loving these vids lads.
I REALLY like the campaign building stuff between the battles, but I just don’t care much for the actual combat system in 5 Leagues.
Would agree on that battle system but did seem quick and deadly, really like the death rolls or more accurately the defeated outcomes.

The first video Ash did honestly really showed it in a bad light, the videos after have built a lot on the first one and it's looking damn solid.

So I'm subscribed and I 'rang the bell.' Exactly what else do I need to do to get a notification, RUclips?
What terrain is that? I need to get some
