I decided to smoosh together all the best moments from my Tahoe videos to make this overview of the experience. What was the first thing you all did after lockdown?
I just joined your Patreon. You've inspired me to G.O.T and get into mountain biking. As you may know though, here in the SF Bay Area where I'm based, there aren't a lot of bikepacking trails/MTB single tracks. So it's awesome to see that this is close by - just 4 hours away! Thank you! And pls keep the videos coming. Your energy and the way you model masculinity - kind, respectful, unafraid of expressing vulnerability and gratitude - is just what the country needs right now.
Always good to see such views and sucking a bit of happiness from the videos... I bought a bike for bikepacking, bags and every other equipment I might need but I still stuck in bed... Clinical depression is a shitty thing. I live the experience through these videos.. Thank you for making them.
I could watch this one over and over. But alas, I must go to work and save my pennies so I can go and ride this route myself. Peace Ryan, may we all get plenty of dirt time. Thanks for all the incredible videos that you create for us!
I'm so grateful for your adventures! Today, despite it being 106 degrees here in Oregon, I was able to ride the dreaded stationary bike and ENJOYED it because I cued up this video and was so happy to ride Tahoe with you and your buddy! Tahoe is one of the many places on the list of which I'm not sure when, if ever, I'll do. As I'm sitting here post ride and post stretch, I'm just so grateful for your videos! THANK YOU.
You’re in my neighborhood!! I’m in Tahoe City. If you’re ever here again give me a shout out. I’ve got 4x4 and can get to most of the trails and come to the rescue. So glad you loved the Flume trail which does feel like “flying”! So fun to bike these trails.
What a fantastic video. The series was awesome, and this highlighted version was an excellent compilation. Ryan, I needed this. I've been so caught up preparing for a new job, and preparing for the Christmas season that I've hardly been able to pry myself away. You've given me the boost that I needed. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
I hear you, but it’s not an old video...it’s all episodes edited into one coherent story, which actually takes way more editing than a simple daily vlog. Appreciate you watching all the way through!
Really admire your perseverance on this one, Ryan and Dom... I would never want to bike through such rocky terrain, but Lake Tahoe and the surrounding area looks spectacular!!!!
Congratulations Ryan what a beautiful part of the world. It's great to see you really observing and appreciating the natural world around you. These vids of yours show us why we should respect and protect mother nature.
Wow that was really concise and amazing all the way through... I don't expect to ever make it to Tahoe or Tahiti... So thanks for scratching my bucket list for me! Oh hell , let's just call it a poke in the ribs to get moving ? Much love and gratitude
Love Tahoe it looks amazing! Sitting here with my Siberian Husky watching another great Duzer production. First thing I did was fly to key west and the Dry Tortuga’s.
I'm happy you revisited your Tahoe Twirl. The original series felt "rushed" probably because we all knew your big Great Divide trip was on the horizon.
Wow Ryan and Dom, some of those scenes from the rim were fantastic! So majestic! Star lake was incredibly beautiful! Night scape with stars was incredible
Ryan, your videos are gold and you’re such an inspiration. I just watched your video on how to Bicycle tour. IMO, I think you should offer touring trips or start a small business doing bike tours. I would sign up immediately as I’m sure your other followers would too. Something to think about. You’re so knowledgeable and upbeat no one could go wrong on a tour with you. Happy new year! Best wishes from New Jersey. 💚🎉
Ryan. Love this condensed version of your Tahoe Twirl! I highly recommend that if your viewers like this video that they watch the entire series that you created earlier this year. Lake Tahoe is one of the most beautiful places in the world that I have ever experienced. Thanks for showing me a little different view.
@@duzer I appreciate you man ! Your the kind of friend I need, one day I just hope to meet you. Lol I love seeing people meet you that follow you, you make them so happy. Keep smiling my friend.
Awesome recap Ryan! I just re-watched this series a few weeks ago and thought about how beautiful it was there and how lucky Dom is to live in such an amazing place. I'm getting ready to re-watch the durango to moab and can't wait for your next adventure. Happy Holidays
Great adventure, I miss riding there. Had a bear in our campsite one night. Found out there are a LOT of them there so watch the food storage and ride on!
Hey, next time you're up on Flagstaff or in the Flatirons, find a big ol ponderosa with lots of cracks and seams in the bark. Get really close and take a whiff. Smells like vanilla or butterscotch.. same trees all around Tahoe.. Sweet Edit!!
Love it! Questions what equipment do you use with your GoPro to capture your shot during biking and running footage (ie handheld/ helmet cams)? Thanks for reading.
Hey Ryan, your videos are awesome. You’ve inspired me to go on longer and longer journeys each day. Love it. I did have a question though, what do you do with your empty cans of beans? Just pack them back and carry them with you?
Love this condensed version watch all the originals too just got back from my 40th bikepacking adventure in Catalina it looked a little different due to camping being closed.
Ryan, love your stuff! Huge fan for years! One question though... ok, crashies & flatties I get, but what are WHAMMIES? Keep the great content coming! Man, I'm living the adventure through YOU, brother! :-)
A Whammie is anything REALLY bad and unexpected...like getting chased by a swarm of murder hornets, or getting struck by lightning, or falling off a cliff :)
Looking to get a lightweight backpacking air mattress. Do the expensive ones really work better? I know you’ve probably used a wide variety. Suggestions?
@@duzer Thank you; you can produce some great photo calendars/t-shirts and sell off the side. What you see on your travels are uniquely yours, from your eye view--all original perspectives. Thanks for your generous sharing.
Wow, how time ✈️, Tahoe series is also a good one in 2020, even after all that was going on in the world 🌎. Hope you have happy holidays and hole lot better 2021 to you and your family.
Thanks for a very well edited video of Lake Tahoe adventure. Want to share a well known secret (haha) to sore muscle (goes away in 2-3 hours). Take 1-2 tablets of (youtheory) collagen (Costco), then 1 tablet 2 hours later. No ibuprofen no Excedrin. Sometimes I take them before biking.

Went on my first backpacking trip! Wowza it was awesome! 🤙🥾🎒
Brilliant Idea!
I was never on lockdown, I was on the front line dealing with the tragic losses this virus has rung up. New spin to the twirl, Thanks for that.
Exactly the same things I did before "lockdown". Only change is the annoying shortage of bike parts.
Thanks for dedicating your life to helping people!!

Dominic is an amazing awesome guy!

I have a chest mount to capture the riding shots, also a helmet mount, and a selfie stick for running.
@@duzer awesome. Have you played around with a gimbel or does the GoPro stabilize enough not to need one?
I haven’t, the new gopros are pretty darn stable!

Is this like the rerun of old episodes? hmmm. I watched it anyway, missing some Duzer Time.
It’s a complication of the entire ride. Appreciate you watching it...again ;)
I was thinking the same thing... Feeling like I'm crazy at first or some Duzer Deja Vu.
@@duzer that sounds very "complicated" :D awesome video man (I haven't watched the original ones, so no clue how they were) but this one was amazing
How sketchy are the trails along the rim. They seem extremely narrow?
Semi sketchy
I’m confused about the bike choice? Can you explain?
This was before the 600x was created, otherwise, I woulda been on that bike. I rented whatever I could find in Tahoe
Was this ride before your GDMBR ride?? If yes, I notice you are not on your Priority 600x, is there a reason you didn't choose it?
It was before the Divide, didn’t have the 600x yet
Did you pack a electric shaver?
Always ;)
