GREAT GREAT GREAT Show. As a fan who knows & enjoys their entire catalogue - I thought it was a good mix of songs from their career. I also really wanted to hear either Battle Hymns, Defender or Dark Avenger. Fav song of night: Mountains. Ross The Boss guest on one song - yes would have been amazing - maybe next time. Eric Adams: the guy is 72 - he was off the charts amazing - at 72 - its miraculous in my opinion. For me - this puts him in class of best metal singer ever. I know people that paid $600+ for tickets. I bought the last single seat available on the Kings Theater site last November - was around $200 with the various taxes & fees. The DAY BEFORE the show - for fun I looked on Kings Theater site again for tickets - ANOTHER single seat was available - I bought a single seat again figuring someone would claim it among friends. Nobody could go (they regret not going) - so I took the seat - it was a much better seat than my original (Section 3 Floor.) I sat next to a Russian guy & his wife (he bought me multiple beers) on my left. On my right a German & Brit (they also bought me beers!) Hung out with guys from Sweden after the show. Sound was fantastic - no earplugs needed. One of the most memorable & enjoyable shows for me ever - in large part because of the comradery of Manowarriors from around the world who were just happy and grateful to be able to see Manowar in New York and in such an unbelievably beautiful & historic theater. Joey's speech was good - and I think really important to relay the message of how difficult it is to organize shows in the U.S. that don't put you in debt. Finally - one thing I wish would have been mentioned, either by Eric or Joey: We all stood there singing battle songs on the VERY SITE of "The Battle of Brooklyn" aka "The Battle of Long Island." This was the largest battle of the Revolutionary war, and happened in August 1776. 20,000 British Regulars with 400 ships attacked a mere 10,000 American troops. George Washington led his men bravely in battle, and even though he had to retreat & flee - The Battle of Brooklyn was largely the dawn of battle for Freedom. As I was shouting along with "Call to Arms" & "Fight Until We Die" - I couldnt help but think of the symbolic significance of the sacred ground that all those Manowarriors were standing on. Carry On! - John
Came all the way from Cleveland to see the show wanted my wife and son to see them who never have I of course saw them from the beginning. Every show they ever did near the Cleveland area saw them six or seven times can’t even remember back in the day that far away been listening to them From the start over 40 years!! Will definitely be posting some videos of the show as well🤘🤘🤘
Been a Manowar fan since I was a young teen discovering my love of metal. I missed their American shows before Nov 30, and never thought I would get to see them live. It was incredible. Everything I hoped for. I hope I can see them again.
Joey prefers to leave balcony seats vacant. He says the sound isn’t as good for the audience in the balcony. I’d guess that is part of the reason for the higher cost for tickets, which was $150, not $90 as Kenny stated.
I was at that show and it was awesome and probably one of the best performances I’ve seen. I only had one gripe of the evening which was the merch table. Knowing that this was their only US show, you know many folks were coming far and wide to get merch! In addition, the merch line was so long, which was understandable. But what took forever was that there were folks picking up their merch and TRYING THEM ON TILL THEY FOUND THE RIGHT SIZE. As though they were at Macys. THATS UNACCEPTABLE!! KNOW YOUR SHIRT SIZE AHEAD OF TIME!!!!!! They’re thousands of other fans who want merch and want it before the show starts, you’re not the only who wants the right shirt. For future: 1) have more than one merch table. 2) if the merch line is long, take your phone and take a picture of the merch available ahead of time. While you wait on line, view the picture and make a decision of what you want BEFORE you make your purchase. 3) KNOW YOUR DAMN SHIRT SIZE. If you don’t know, ask someone too look at the shirt size tag online and they’ll tell you. 4) DON’T TRY ON CLOTHES AT THE MERCH TABLE!!!! THERE ARE OTHERS WHO WANT THEIR MERCH AND NOT MISS THE OPENING SONG!! Other than that, great experience!!!
The Power is Karl Logan. And Ross is not that much amused about Joey. And right - he was 2005 here in Germany with all members (Rhino, Shankle, etc.) back then. I think if Ross would have been asked... he would have refused.
Saw them at LAMOURS many times...this was a beautiful moment. Please inbox me if you know how to get that Kings theater T-shirt. I couldn't hang on that long line.
Man,i wish I could have gone. I knew it would sell out and still procrastinated on buying a ticket. And sure enough it did.Hopefully there is another chance to catch them live.
I have seen them twice in Istanbul. Huge crowds. Open air (crazy rain in one of them). 17,000 people venue was full. There were people from all over the world.
It was an awesome show, I nearly cried when i heard "Ladies and Gentlemen..." - pure magic ! I'm def seeing em again. Few things I'd love for them to change/improve: 1. Longer set. Instrumentals could be replaced w songs. MABs clean guitar tone is dry and lifeless and makes that jam less enjoyable. 2. Fix the guitar solos, some of em were just senseless shred. Atleast memorize where the stops and pauses are plz. E.g Fight until we die solo is a a beautiful one and deserves to be played right. U also shouldn't destroy hail and kill. Cmon! 3. I didnt get a lot of rhythm guitar. Felt it should be louder and that tone does nothing for me. The guitar IMO is kinda the reason why the faster songs don't sound as full - king of kings, dawn of Battle, kill w power , fght until we die etc 4. Merch is just too pricey . I went from Canada and it'd be 85 bucks for a shirt. I ended up buying nothing. Paid 250 for tix. 5. Can someone tell Joey he ruins the intro of the song "power?" What kind of distortion is that? Can't hear the notes ..just screeching noises. 6. There is something wrong in the drum sound esp the snare. Anyone in attendance noticed? 7. From where I was standing, the first row after the floor, I really didn't get much loudness. Did they turn down or was it just my position?
Jimmy, they always open their show with the song Manowar anywhere in the world. I saw a few recent shows on YT and unfortunately they were not very good, even with Michael Angelo. I would even say that he is the weakest link (Manowar is not really his style). I miss the 80s and early 90s era. (note: the Manowar set Ross the Boss played in Houston two years ago or so was excellent.)
I know I don’t live in Canada but how am I just finding out the postal strike but anyway I love how metal bands don’t age when I got into metal in like 1991 I felt like Manowar looked pretty much exactly the same.
My buddy was working stage crew and this is what he heard why balcony wasn't open and it's a doozy. Supposedly Manowar wanted balcony closed because no one should look down at Manowar.
Also, I dont see them getting a guy like Angelo just to do a few shows and not record. I think Kenny's right. They'll record a new album and tour the US once again
Would’ve been great if Ross were included makes me wonder if Joey contacted him and was turned down Ross is very vocal here on RUclips interviews I’ve seen about his departure, Batio is playing on the latest single released I think he’s a great fit especially if they were to use him in the future guitar solo segments it’d be great to have him do his double guitar and run through some riffs of songs that are not on the set list for that particular night as a Manowar fan that’s what I would love to see especially with the amount of songs in their catalog no way else they could play everything expected from us fans kind of a compromise or better yet they could just play a 10 hour show
Apparently you know where Ross lives but you don’t know a thing about Joey. There’s not a chance in hell he’d have called ross for a 2 minute cameo at a Manowar show, and for what? Everyone knows they hate each other’s guts. Plus, 1992 to 2024 is 32 years of material post Ross , not 20 like mr Brooklyn said there at one point. Technically they have not done a new album since 2012. There’s 32 years since Ross left time wise but the last 12 have no new albums……but I understand what you’re saying
Ross's first singer, Mike Cotoia, is a true talent. Handled Eric Adams perfectly. He performed with Ross at KEEP IT TRUE fest in Germany as well as a number of USA shows before Mike left.

Black Wind, Fire and Steel, we got crazy with that one! Even mini mosh pit!
I wish they played SHELLSHOCKED 😎
They are the kings of metal .
Hey guys. Great review
Yes, I think using Batio in a new album will really make me look forward to a new album from them
The new drummer is killing it!
Missed this show but i saw them in Ohio in 2002 and got to meet them

Met them twice amazing band
Great review, Manowar have just announced a show in London, UK and I'm really tempted to go.
When is this 😮
Great review guys ! Hopefully back in '25 need to see them live 🤘
I was in front. By song 3 the volume was up to 11!
All Men Play On 10🤘

Very well said. I couldn't get anything and really wanted a hat for my kid.
Show ruled !! Loud as hell !!
The fans should have started singing battle hymns at the end
ManOwaR never sell balcony tickets due to poor sound. When they play you don't get robbed, that's for sure.
Karl Logan is the guitarist on the Louder Than Hell lp. It was his first record.
The Power is Karl Logan.

Thanks for covering this.
Hope the do a 2025 US tour & come close to Chicago
I looked up this stadium, the clubs capacity is 3,250. At least that's what the website said
I have seen them twice in Istanbul. Huge crowds. Open air (crazy rain in one of them). 17,000 people venue was full. There were people from all over the world.
The last full album was 2012, " The Lord Of Steel!"
Set list just way to short for how little they perform in states. But certainly doesn't change how effin great they were.💪💪💪

Last time I saw manowar was at L'Amours, all I know was Judas priest was playing the garden that night Turbo tour
Ross is the sound of manowar , too late now should of brought him back 20 years ago
I didn't have enough PTO to swing the US gig so I bought a ticket to the show in Amsterdam since Reykjavik was sold out.
Jimmy, they always open their show with the song Manowar anywhere in the world. I saw a few recent shows on YT and unfortunately they were not very good, even with Michael Angelo. I saw some video that seemed Manowar lost a step but I was at Kings theater and they sounded real good.
I wish he would STOP cutting him off. I want to hear from the guy WHO WAS THERE.....
bad habit
I know I don’t live in Canada but how am I just finding out the postal strike but anyway I love how metal bands don’t age when I got into metal in like 1991 I felt like Manowar looked pretty much exactly the same.
Was there...sounded great, I was nicely surprised. Not happy nothing from Into Glory Ride but real good show.
My buddy was working stage crew and this is what he heard why balcony wasn't open and it's a doozy. Supposedly Manowar wanted balcony closed because no one should look down at Manowar.
Are you telling me they never played a show in a place with a balcony?
Joey said it costs alot to play because it's expensive to put on show and that's why tix so much.
80,000$ to pay stage crew.
One thing now they don't play as loud as I remember....but that was in 1988 when they blew a hole thru my chest at Lamours.
Also, I dont see them getting a guy like Angelo just to do a few shows and not record. I think Kenny's right. They'll record a new album and tour the US once again

Was horribly upset GODS OF WAR wasn't played.
That is not unusual at all. Battle hymn should have been there !
It's supposed to be sold out, so why the balconies were empty?
The band intentionally left it empty because they say the sound suffers in balconies. They announced it before tix went on sale.
3,250 is the capacity
Apparently you know where Ross lives but you don’t know a thing about Joey. There’s not a chance in hell he’d have called ross for a 2 minute cameo at a Manowar show, and for what? Everyone knows they hate each other’s guts.

Ross is a good player but his singer is so fricking bad it’s ridiculous, even Eric at 72 years of age can wipe the floor with him any day.
If you thought that way about Manowar ,maybe you should’ve stayed home buddy.
Totally agree I can't stand Ross's singer.
@@jenniferthomas999 You mean the same singer who is now in Metal Church? No problem with Marc Lopez.
Batio needs a better wig 😮
Not a wig he just dyes hair
Kreatah….powah….man that dude’s accent is really annoying.
Joey and Eric are also from New York but they don’t talk like that, lol.
@chrisdangelo6539 Joey and Eric from upstate. The guy talking is from Brooklyn. Worlds apart when it comes to accent. That being said when Eric talks I totally hear his Italian New Yorker accent.
When your name is really Lou Marullo and you live in NY you have that accent.
