  • Bicol Express, sometimes called sinilihan, which means "spiced with chilli," is a well-known Filipino cuisine that is prepared in the traditional way in Bicol (one province in the Philippines). The ingredients of this stew are long chilli peppers (called siling haba or siling labuyo in Tagalog), coconut milk or cream (called kakang gata in Tagalog), prawn paste (called bagoong alamang in Tagalog), or stockfish, onion, pork, ginger, and garlic.
Pancit is traditionally served at weddings, baptisms, graduations, and most importantly, birthday celebrations. Pancit is a staple of many important life events. Its intrinsic Chinese symbolism, which suggests that eating the noodles before eating them would lead to a long and prosperous life, is often evoked.

Bicol Express was conceptualized in a carinderia along the railway of Manila, Probably nearby Malate Station of the Philippine National Railways back in the 70s where there is still a regular route to Bicol. The inventor, a Laguna native named Cely Kalaw thought of a dish as a variation of a Bicolano dish Gulay na may Lada, vegetable stewed in coconut milk. She thought of the name after a PNR train coach named Bicol Express that regularly run along the rails nearby her carinderia hence the name.

It's good to know you can both understand and speak English and French, coz aside from that your native languages are Filipino (Tagalog) and Greek, lol. What's the most common language do you both understand or which do you use most often? English or French? Nice vlog

Hi. Next time substitute the spicy peppers to non-spicy for cooking. Then add the spicy peppers before serving. or just add to your plate (Yum).
Or make beef caldereta or pares. If you haven't made them, try it for your honey. Stay safe

They are just being honest.
