      We did hash brown patties (sort of like a big tater tot) in Breakfast Sandwiches ruclips.net/video/l1PT2yFqWrM/видео.html. I have also tested using tater tot crowns (short tater tots) pressed into some sort of tater tot patty, but it didn't as we'll as regular hash brown.
      If you wan to try tots, try the crowns. Their shortness gives them more surface area contact with the griddle. I suppose you could also try them under a griddle dome for a bit.
