Radishes are great raw in salads or as a snack or they can be cooked.
When buying radishes, look for firm, bright, and smooth radishes that are not cracked. If the leaves are still attached to the radishes, look for green leaves that are fresh looking.
Refrigerate radishes in a plastic bag for up to a week. If leaves are attached, remove the leaves before storing. This way, the radishes will stay fresh longer. If the radish leaves are not prickly, you can cook them like spinach
Wash radishes when you are ready to use them. Kids can help wash radishes under running water or in a bowl and scrub off any loose dirt with a vegetable brush. Cut the tips off the top and bottom. Slice or cut into quarters if you want to eat smaller pieces.
