yeah, i guess they misunderstand that even if shes on 'imperial order', these stuckup attendants come from noble families. Hell, even the attendant that hid the powder only got confinement and allowed to serve again. If Maomao in her place, she would have been beheaded. I like that her status as servant is reflected well throughout the series also yes, maybe she just cant order eunuch around for a 'simple job'

Maomao to me, is a non-confrontational person unless needed to (taking charge of treating Lihua after discovering the powder), pretty strict with the whole hierarchy (attendant > eunuch > servants) and not abusing privileges' and attention shown to her (saving emperor's concubine doesnt improve her status in any way)
@@kazuharailfan.2909 actually that she was put into Confinment is Anime only, in the Light Novels and Manga she was kicked out of Lady Lihua´s service and punished via banishment from the Rear Palace which is really bad especially for Noble Women, its like a huge stain on their Reputation and finding a Husband even if they are out of the Palace is hard since not many Familys are willing to take in a Daughter in Law who has such a stain on their resume.

this was the best episode of the season imo, it was basically a small arc that showed you how strong and competent the main character is
