Choosing to be sane and single is serenity. Not desiring anyone cause you know better is joyous.

Isn't it interesting that so many people seem to have been "born married"? They seem to find a new relationship if the previous one ended as easy as buying a package of tube socks at Walmart? How is that? What is this gulf among humans that causes this?

Absolutely agreed. Being single is the best relationship I've ever had because I can turn my energies towards myself and my own development. I've found true contendmend in being single

Some very key points in this video. I've found that my single-ness should be embraced and utilized to develop my talents instead of pursuing dead-end relationships. It affords me the time and resources to nourish my soul and make me a better overall person. That's something that, quite honestly, a significant other can't provide for me.

This video speaks so much wisdom and truth. Fortunately, I can say that I’m not in the place where I’m actively seeking for someone nor needing a relationship (in fact, I think that I wouldn’t have the time and energy to spend on a relationship) but I’ve fallen into the trap of daydreaming about the "ideal" partner. I’m not sure whether it’s healthy or not. It occurs almost everyday (or every other day) and it gives me pleasure thinking about it.

We don’t necessarily need to be ‘in a relationship’. As a species we have spent the most part of our evolutionary history living in small to medium sized groups (hunter-gatherer groups of maybe a few dozen or villages of the same size). Everyone knew each other, and everyone supported each other’s needs, they weren’t necessarily ‘in relationships’, but they propped each other up. Where it all went wrong for us was when we started living in huge towns, then cities and tower blocks, isolated and eventually only communicating with devices, like we are now. I reckon it was the advent of the industrial revolution which finally screwed it up for all of us and it’s been a downward spiral ever since. Now we’re pretty much all psychologically or emotionally disturbed in some way. That’s why there’s so many nutters and perverts and psycho- killers about.

    Good advice.
I think most commentators forget about the pressing need for sex as if it doesn't exist! It's also a failure as a real topic of nearly all religious groups as well.
Go out? To the pub? Here in Australia alcohol is just about the only way to socialise.

It’s not relationship with living together, it’s to travels, to seat in cofee bar together, to see each other some time,
And every one continue to be busy with the things that he love in his home.

Your words are like music to my ears and heart because I know it’s truth what you saying. So liberating... totally agree with what you saying. And if it’s in my journey to meet someone, it will happen naturally and effortless... important is that I am enough and enjoying life as it is. Bowing to you in respect🙏🏾🙏🏾

Luckily I have so Many years behind me now, that I realise I do not need to look for a partner. A partner cannot make me happy. I could be happy with some one who do not need anyone to make Him happy. I would love Him without expectations. Unconditionally. Thats not what most of my generation was brought up. So I had to suffer to find out. I Hope the young generation learn to be aware and conscious in their life and have good teachers if not their parents. Loving one self is NOT loving Your ego, that is the big mistake we humans make. Thank You😊

Wow, perfect timing as always. Borrowed words "when you are starving for love, you will lick it off a knife." Also "to be completely with someone you must be complete yourself." I believe I am never awakened, simply always awakenING. So to have an authentic open hearted connected relationship we do have to do alot of work, focusing 'souly' on ourselves. For as I have learned being in the same live in relationship for years, as only I have grown. I am trapped in a constant bombardment of being so very alone with someone. Unable to reach that much needed state of choosing to be alone. A state I worry isn't even possible for me. But more hopeful with the adding of any friends of the sane gender & getting back to my own simple activities like art, poetry, & book club. If you are in a lonely relationship: take heart in that it can (if you will it so & stay out of the victim self pity trap) help you develop your own life. (Always acknowledge wrongness in your life, we must feel it to get through it, just choose not to stay in the pain. I never thought I'd start achieving more of a calm, more distant witness state, but I AM.

Also- I can attest to the truth of the honest allure of a healthy individual, happy being individual. Sadly it's a conundrum as they are NOT looking for a partner.

You ask to contemplate about these questions, well here they go, I've came up with answers way before I ever found this video:
It feels uncomfortable because I'm not 'enlightened' (if that even exists, you can't provide evidence for it, it's a *belief* in a state of non-suffering), 'I''m (or at least the impermanent, contemporary present manifestation of a human being) a human being, and I don't deny that.
(most) Human beings *NEED* social contact. No matter how much you love yourself and your own company. Nothing can ever truly 'replace' another human being.
Also, visiting prostitutes isn't making a deeper connection. It's a thing done because many times it's the only way to get physical contact in any form whatsoever.
    - Especially in a culture were hugging someone is considered more embarrassing, then essential for good health. -
To get 'over it' for a short while, after which you realize nothing has truly changed. You're still lonely.
Anecdotally, being in a relationship (only once yet, so I don't have much to base myself on) was better then being single ever has been. I have never found, nor believe I can find, something as fulfilling as being in a relationship.

It's God's fault I am alone.I hate him for that. What set me off this time was my step brother lost his wife of 61 years October 2020. He had not been alone 15 months and has already married again. He's a good catch meaning with 2 goverment pensions. He is 79 and she is 51.This is not right when I have been alone forever 1984.I want to cry and cry.I am happy for them. His 2 sons are not happy because the sons are the same age in their fifities.I will not be going to my step brother celebration on May 4, 2022.
