The only way to get the skeletons (the 3/3 for 3) was to play Sylvanas. Before, the battlecry of Sylvanas was to discard all your card and to give you 5 skeleton.
Skeleton is from old Sylvanas. 6 mana, 5/5: Discard your entire hand and add 3 Skeletons into it. Ozumat was replaced by Deathwing 10 mana, 12/12: Discard your entire hand, and murder all other minions
as an aggro card it was really consistent (using a combo with cheap cards to empty your hand in the process isnt too hard, and you get a free refill). I still like more the current sylvanas even after nerf.

It would be enough to say once that most of the cards we're removed in alpha and just say again when a card got removed when it's not the same case. You forgot Mega-Blast. Millhouse used to be a 2 mana 2/2 with Battlecry: Add a Mega-Blast card to you hand. Mega-Blast I believe is a 10 mana legendary spell that hits all enemy characters for 5 damage. That version of Millhouse was too strong, so they changed him and got rid of the Mega-Blast card.

Some of these cards are completely different than what they were supposedly replaced with. Did Blizzard actually come out and say that they specifically replaced the old card with the newer ones? Or, is there some other reason to say that these cards were the "replacements"? Just curious about the history of the early days of Hearthstone. I'm sad I missed it. TheDisarminghinkle i answered a question like this before and said that some of the cards do seem quite different to their replacements but the for most of them i would say they were replaced for balance purposes. Sorry but I couldn't find an official reason for most of the replacements.

It's not like we won't see these cards again. We probably will with either completely different effects or nerfed altogether. But it was interesting to see what they took out before official release. Spider Tank was originally removed in the alpha and later returned to us in GvG so it's not entirely unlikely we won't see at least some of these cards again.

Just so you know the Autopecker and Worldflipper were spawned from the gelbin mekkatorque. It used to be 6 choices rather than the 4. It was very fun to play back then, not RNG like now.
Interesting, it seems like the devouring ooze would be an interesting card. However, due to the obvious reason that you can just lose 10 games in a row in casual then do 1 game in ranked, it would have to be for every rank you lost in a ranked game in a row. That would make it a lot more interesting, and it would stop sudden losing streaks from rank 11 down to 20, as you'd have 2 3 mana minions that would get increasingly stronger for each time you lose. not that I want this card to be included, but it just seems like such a cool effect.
The pecker 4000 and the Worldflipper cards *need* to be brought back! They should also make similar cards, that enforces a fun/random aspect of the game rather than one following the meta once again.

auto pecker is still able to be reached in a way, if you find the map where you blast rocket into space with the laser, on pc you press d to open and close the door in the top right. if spammed enough like legit a LOT, auto pecker will be there
I think Hearthstone should make a tavern brawl where they bring back some of these cards, namely the ones that affect gameplay itself, like auto-pecker 4000 or worldflipper X-50 etc. As tavern brawls aren't meant to be taken seriously, I think this would make for a fun nostalgic brawl.

Penance was remade into Bash that just came out in The Grand Tournament except for Warrior, and the gain 3 health part is now gain 3 armor.

It's a European thing, because not a lot of European languages use the thhhhh sound. So we have trouble pronouncing it, and just say the ffff sound to make up for it.

This isn't a rhetorical question thought it may sound like one. What do you mean when you say that a card replaced another card? Some of these cards are completely different than what they were supposedly replaced with. Did Blizzard actually come out and say that they specifically replaced the old card with the newer ones? Or, is there some other reason to say that these cards were the "replacements"? Just curious about the history of the early days of Hearthstone. I'm sad I missed it. I didn't start until the game was officially "out".
TheDisarminghinkle i answered a question like this before and said that some of the cards do seem quite different to their replacements but the for most of them i would say they were replaced for balance purposes. Sorry but I couldn't find an official reason for most of the replacements.
TheDisarminghinkle With the NEUTRALS, I believe all cards were replaced with a card of the same mana cost, because they wanted to keep the global mana curve the same in neutrals. With the class cards, they were, of course, replaced by cards for the same class. I hope that answers your question.

It's not like we won't see these cards again. We probably will with either completely different effects or nerfed altogether. But it was interesting to see what they took out before official release. Spider Tank was originally removed in the alpha and later returned to us in GvG so it's not entirely unlikely we won't see at least some of these cards again.

Kind of a boring video. Don't know if you'd take advice from a random stranger with no videos, but Ill give it a go. You need a bit more commentary. More than it was removed from alpha or beta. Get some music that makes people want to stay and listen. It gets a little boring otherwise. Otherwise I liked the content of the video.

Just so you know the Autopecker and Worldflipper were spawned from the gelbin mekkatorque. It used to be 6 choices rather than the 4. It was very fun to play back then, not RNG like now.

Interesting, it seems like the devouring ooze would be an interesting card. However, due to the obvious reason that you can just lose 10 games in a row in casual then do 1 game in ranked, it would have to be for every rank you lost in a ranked game in a row. That would make it a lot more interesting, and it would stop sudden losing streaks from rank 11 down to 20, as you'd have 2 3 mana minions that would get increasingly stronger for each time you lose.

The pecker 4000 and the Worldflipper cards *need* to be brought back! They should also make similar cards, that enforces a fun/random aspect of the game rather than one following the meta once again.

I never played wow so if this is a dumb question I'm sorry. But after watching the old CGI trailer for the wrath of the Litch King I got to wondering if we'd ever see him in Hearthstone? He looks so badass. I'd even like to see him as a hero even.

auto pecker is still able to be reached in a way, if you find the map where you blast rocket into space with the laser, on pc you press d to open and close the door in the top right. if spammed enough like legit a LOT, auto pecker will be there
I think Hearthstone should make a tavern brawl where they bring back some of these cards, namely the ones that affect gameplay itself, like auto-pecker 4000 or worldflipper X-50 etc. As tavern brawls aren't meant to be taken seriously, I think this would make for a fun nostalgic brawl.
