Bro, your stormwolf guide saved my druid build, I been struggling to make poison shred work well but it just falls off in the endgame but this build here gives me renewed hope lol
Quick question… how are you keeping your spirit topped up at all times? I may have missed it but yeah my early werewolf build I’m struggling with spirit management
How does this build work for nightmare dungeons? I loved your tornado werewolf build, I’m doing 55 nightmare at lvl 77 rn, Ty so much for that build! Btw, really want to play a companion build, have tried some but none seems to work, have you tried any?
I think this build is solid for nightmare dungeons but won't push as high as the tornado build. I have messed with companions a little bit and they feel pretty underwhelming to me as an entire build on their own so far, but I'm still working on it
Hey I just found your pre-legendary build, thanks for sharing. Quick question, I saw you're taking calm before the storm boon, can that trigger off of anything you've got using only werewolf skills and bulwark?
Good stuff! Seems way cooler and less clunky then the Blurred Beast version of Shred. Have you tried using the other Storm Strike upgrade (chains to 2 additional targets)? Seems like it could be really cool with the Lupine Ferocity key passive because it makes Storm Strike hit exactly 5 times, so can tap it once then immediately proc 6th hit. Or is this only good with the Unique staff since you can just spam Claw?
Hey Carthh, I'm not seeing the version without the helm. Is it the same build just minus the helm or are there skill/passive/paragon difference? Looks like a lot of fun.
I have a lot more fun with this build personally. I think tornado can push mugh higher nightmare dungeons, by I like this build more for everything else
It looks super fun indeed! Zapping around and melting enemies fits more the whole fantasy of a wolf imho. What do you think about the Poison Wolf Pet build? With the Werewolf companions and Poison Creeper? Been wanting to try that one.
how do you recommend to level a druid? pulveriez or werewrolf? do you have a leveling build/guide? also i saw the build in your note, do you have a video of the build without unique item?
Paragon board seems to be a bit rough, a lot of higher nodes require 500-700 stat which is mostly not possible. Have you made any changes to the paragon board?
By far best druid build guides out there! Would love to see you do a build around the great staff of the crone unique as that is the one that also looks very cool to me
I've seen a couple videos popping up with the unique and I have some ideas of my own. Trying to decide if I want to make a build similar to every one else, or something completely different
You've got my sub! I just so happened to have all these pieces. You're one of the first to use the unique axe and I'm so glad you posted this clear and concise build guide. I am more tanky than I am with pulverize. It's time to retire that and enjoy this build - I am basically invincible! Thank you!
Great build! I am currently refining Parogon Board and gear. When i find better options i will Keep u informed. Clearing a Nm Dungeon in 5 min! So great
awesomeness... had this slated as a starter but had to go necro just because every one was so negative against it. Glad some one else seen the potential.
really cool. i wanna find that axe. have you tried runeworkers conduit with this build yet? i havent found that legendary yet but i was curious about it.
I just got a Waxing Gibbous to drop for me while farming for a Shockwave aspect. Looked up builds, this came up. I'm curious - does this build outperform Pulverize druid at level 75 (my current level)? I'm wondering whether it's worth the incredibly tedious process to fully respec my character, get new aspects/gear, change my entire build, level new runes, etc. or if I should just keep using Pulverize and stick with it. Also, the unique helm isn't required, right? But if I wanted to use Mad Wolf's Glee, it would be required right, because you can't use non-werewolf skills while in werewolf form/grizzly rage?
I wouldn't switch over to this if you're already set up in pulverize unless you're looking to just completely change your build for fun and want to try something else. Mad wolf isn't required for this build but you can run it if you have it
I had a really nice pulverize build and switched to this build (without having the helmet and axe) and my pulverize build was significantly stronger. I’m only level 60 so that may have something to do with it too.
On my Shred build I have been using the following abilities: Claw - Maxed out Shred - Maxed out Blood Howl - Maxed out Debilitating Roar - as a Werewolf ability - Maxed Out Wolves - Maxed Out Grizzly Rage - as a Werewolf ability turning you into a Dire Werewolf - Maxed out Beastial Rampage - Key Passive ability I am level 49 as of last night and have died maybe.........once on this build because i was dashing around the screen so fast I actually lost track of my character haha. My attack speed is bonkers. I also have the Legendary imprint to cause Shred crits to trigger a lightning burst. It destroys enemies. People can do what they want build wise......but just wanted to offer my build as another option.
Yo Carthh! Love your content as always homie. Thoughts on taking Aspect of Cyclonic Force over Vigorous Aspect on Pants? Seems like Cyclonic would give you Phys AND Non Phys at 14% DR and your team as well.
First, love the video. Straightforward and informative. Question for you, would you drop your chest for a decent rolled madd wolf chest? And how would you swap around aspects if you were using the unique crone staff?
Yeah you could definitely use mad wolfs if you're looking for that extra damage. I don't think crone would work in this build since it is focused around the waxing gibbous weapon, you would have to adjust the whole build
Well i was skeptical about shred at first, when i started the game, i went with shred but after that i was thinking maybe that skill was meant only for the beginners only, but now im like, okay, its interesting! You got my subs!
Very. can still one shot pretty much any non-boss, and still very fast vs bosses. Use a rabies variation and your good. Mob em up hit em with rabies and cut through the mobs like a pair of scissors. keep an extra weapon with nighthowlers for pure single target encounters, like world bosses and most dungeon bosses. Or just use nighthowlers if you don’t have gibbous.
What Item or Aspekt or whatever you use, does those Poison Explosion when you dash with Shred? :o That looks cool and seems to hit hard :D Also how do you even poison the enemies? I did not really get it in that Video... Thanks :)
Pre dire wolf and waxing gibbous, the build can struggle with building enough crit chance. Vine creeper +20% crit to things immobilized is a natural synergy especially using the companion reset spirit boon. It works surprisingly often. But you still will need every single crit source you can get (before the getting the axe). Roll crit on rings, gloves, and totem. And potentially use the ravens too for 5% more (and an early vuln source)
since i've got tempest roar yesterday, planned to change my build to storm wolf. but if i could get unique axe i think i'll try this build. literally 'stealth wolf' is so fascinating.
congrats ive got 14 uniques in 24 hours all of them vasilys or barbarian items. 88 and havent seen a single tempest. Im tired of builds being gated behind a single item
@@ralos329 I feel you bro I’ve got about 10 vasilys helm and 15 of that ass unique ring before I got the staff and tempest today. Storm wolf is definitely worth the grind makes tier 4 nightmare dungeons easy mode
I use debilitating roar instead of cyclone armor for the 70% dmg reduction, heal, and immobilize against poisoned targets. The calm before the storm never procs for me. I'll try cyclone armor and see if that helps with calm before the storm. Question: Why did you not use glyphs in the paragon board that multiply the rare/magic nodes? Those have given me such a leep in power. So much in fact, I swapped out exploit and rely on hurricanes' vulnerable and the occasional storm strike.
I have a similar build but haven't found tempest roar yet. My build is for poison until I can find that helmet. I was lucky enough to have found the Great staff of the crone which is super bad ass, if you spec into storm strike just enough to get the passives your claw gets the bonus from both storm strike and claw which means I am poisoning 3 targets with each hit. The thing i really don't like is that poison creeper does way more poison dmg than Rabies so I'm using that to poison groups of enemies instead of rabies. I think rabies needs a dmg rework.
This looks amazing, how does this fair though when dealing with bosses WITHOUT building up the stealth and crit chance? Im really tempted but am worried about the boss performance
How is it at pushing nightmare? This looks like a fast gold grinding build but I am not seeing the defense required to push NM like your tornado build.
You can do nightmare dungeons pretty comfortably with this build and it has pretty similar defenses to tornado. But if you're looking to push to the highest possible nightmare dungeons tornado is better
what about the uptime of grizzly rage ? I saw that you have 11 cd downtime, how did you manage to get it so short and do you think it's possible to have it permanently ?
Cooldown reduction on amulet and totem. If you don't run a unique helmet you can get cdr there as well. This build unfortunately cannot get it to permanent, but nature builds can
Just moved my pulverize trample druid to this currently lvl 62, and I'm missing the uinques also the helm enchant, but I can say this is so much more fun and still pretty good and fast. Thanks for the build.
This is what i was looking for. I really enjoy shred and have leveled with shred/posion and am trasitioning to mid game. For me, the link to the early game build in the notes section is a single screenshot for stormclaw. Am I missing it?
How do you get so much health? I’m running around with half that amount at level 88. I see you don’t have anything too crazy in terms on max life rolls and following the paragon board you have I don’t have any more max life to pick up before 100
@@carthh_ ah ok. Something strange is going on. This link and the notes link goes to the build with uniques but I do see other links in the comments section going to a build without uniques. That’s probably why everyone is asking you.
when i got D4, I started as a pulverize druid but now im seeing how crazy this build is and im bummed. might make another druid when S1 drops just for this build. It's a shame Blizzard made it almost impossible to switch builds/loadouts
So what’s the short answer as far as how you run this if you have everything but the tempest roar? Is it a one item swap and some skill changes? I’d really like to run it until the helm drops
Just wondering im a bit confused. Still new. The perks on the legendary can be extracted right? Meaning lets say if i get a very good perk on my level 40 boots then i want to put it in my level 60 boots. Thts okay? But item level will be low right since its extracted from a lower level gear
Not sure i caught it, but how are you keeping your spirit so high? I feel like i deplete my spirit so quickly with shred. But to be fair im still early and about to hit 50. Just wondering for the future of my build
get a perfect [the umbral] put on necklace hurricane and wolf poison built in cc. bonus options/food for thot crit chance poison creeper + pack leader boon stormstrike constricting tendrils paragon cyclone armor active debilitating roar(replaced heals for slow ) butchers cleqver icy boots these two aspects seem like they would proc umbral [quicksand] [shared misery] lol whatever else u can think of work in for CC
I'm using almost same build. But I used zenith ring. I could infinite trample everytime shred killed an enemy. What do you think about that build variant? and also why you don't use aspect activating hurricane add +2 shapeshift skills?
Zenith seems interesting but you can't use it with Dire Wolf and I really like Dire Wolf. I like building defensively that's why I don't have the +2 shapeshift
@@carthh_ Zenith is used when direwolf is off. That's the only unique I currently have right now. Whenever direwolf is off, I use shred+trample with werebear aspect consume 150% poisoned damage. but adding 30% lightning dmg to shred seems interesting too well I think it's just depends on what unique you have right now.
Great build! Loving it now even though I don't have the Unique gears yet, any chance you'll upload another vid for the version without the Unique gears?
Very entertaining to watch! I'm no expert high level, but is that kind of normal to steamroll monsters 5 levels below you at 100? I'm lvl 65 poison werewolf for now...feels kinda bad sometimes when poison creeper doesn't proc
So I’m a little dumb when it comes to build crafting so bear with me, but what is giving you back spirit? I put together the majority of the build (don’t have the uniques yet so I’m using the early version) and I’m constantly out of spirit
How are you stacking crits? Just confused on how this mechanic works before fighting a boss. My axe only crits for 2 seconds and then its gone, or so I understand.
Sorry about that, that was a little confusing. When you're in grizzly rage dire wolf and you crit you get a stack of crit damage, so ideally you would enter grizzly rage and fight some monsters to get some crit damage stacks before going into the boss room and killing it before your run out of grizzly rage
Some of the nodes in that lightning cluster work with the lightning splash from shred! Not that it’s needed, but it might be a way to eek out that much more damage
im clearing around lvl 40 NM's with pulverise at lvl 78 with ease but im so bored of it. ive got waxing gib at ancestral almost max roll but not the helm or chest uniques. Ive got all the aspects needed for the non unique version of this build (with waxing) Do you think this would be a good change for me or should i just keep playing bored til the helm drops, if it ever does?
@carthh1 yeah I thought so, im just so bored of the playstyle on pulverise. I've got the crone staff too but can't find any good builds without the helm
Heeelp, I just redid my whole build towards this and added most of the aspects….but when I hit Grizzly Rage it gives me a new skill bar with all Dire Wolf skills. How are you keeping your normal skills in rage??!
Everyone who is saying that Druid only has 1 build is completely delusional. This is like the third or fourth warewolf build that looks like it completely shreds the game (not even counting other wearbear, human, or shape shifting builds). Great build man, can’t wait to try it out
I've been having a ton of fun with the Shred build. I think tornado performs better overall but this build has been so much fun after playing a lot of tornado

Paragon board seems to be a bit rough, a lot of higher nodes require 500-700 stat which is mostly not possible. Have you made any changes to the paragon board?
This is gonna be insane with the new shred buffs coming.
Are all the uniques findable in World Tier 3? I know some uniques only drop in WT4, but I haven’t found any info one which ones.
By far best druid build guides out there! Would love to see you do a build around the great staff of the crone unique as that is the one that also looks very cool to me
I've seen a couple videos popping up with the unique and I have some ideas of my own. Trying to decide if I want to make a build similar to every one else, or something completely different
@@carthh_ Well whatever it is looking forward to seeing your version
I just got it to drop and I’ve been wondering what I could do with it
i wanna try that unique amulet of melig with the crone build. need to get leveled up so i can find some more uniques
@@micepad7087 you can do an LMB werewolf or trample slide. It's really great at procing trample slide with nature's fury
Your missing like 21 paragon points to put out, any tips on where to put them ?
You've got my sub! I just so happened to have all these pieces. You're one of the first to use the unique axe and I'm so glad you posted this clear and concise build guide. I am more tanky than I am with pulverize. It's time to retire that and enjoy this build - I am basically invincible! Thank you!
Great build! I am currently refining Parogon Board and gear. When i find better options i will Keep u informed. Clearing a Nm Dungeon in 5 min! So great
awesomeness... had this slated as a starter but had to go necro just because every one was so negative against it. Glad some one else seen the potential.
good guide thank you, i think i found the unique items needed just playing pulverize to level 70 at this point...gonna try it later today :)
really cool. i wanna find that axe. have you tried runeworkers conduit with this build yet? i havent found that legendary yet but i was curious about it.
oh nevermind, shred wont proc that
I just got a Waxing Gibbous to drop for me while farming for a Shockwave aspect.
On my Shred build I have been using the following abilities:
Claw - Maxed out
Shred - Maxed out
Blood Howl - Maxed out
Debilitating Roar - as a Werewolf ability - Maxed Out
Wolves - Maxed Out
Grizzly Rage - as a Werewolf ability turning you into a Dire Werewolf - Maxed out
Beastial Rampage - Key Passive ability
I am level 49 as of last night and have died maybe.........once on this build because i was dashing around the screen so fast I actually lost track of my character haha.
Definitely a solid option if you're playing in a party!
Am I an idiot? I didn't see the skill build mentioned at 2:45 for those without the unique items.
I didn't either
First, love the video. Straightforward and informative. Question for you, would you drop your chest for a decent rolled madd wolf chest? And how would you swap around aspects if you were using the unique crone staff?
Yeah you could definitely use mad wolfs if you're looking for that extra damage. I don't think crone would work in this build since it is focused around the waxing gibbous weapon, you would have to adjust the whole build
@carthh1 Roger that. Thanks a million 🖤 Again, Love the content!
Well i was skeptical about shred at first, when i started the game, i went with shred but after that i was thinking maybe that skill was meant only for the beginners only, but now im like, okay, its interesting! You got my subs!
This has been my favorite build so far, I'm at lvl 51, so a survivable build was needed for ND
You inspired me a lot on the diversity of Druid build, great work😊😊
Great video! I would love to see this build without Temptest Roar. Also, how viable is this build in WT 4 with the no tempest roar variation?
Very. can still one shot pretty much any non-boss, and still very fast vs bosses.
@@2052brad Wut, any link to this? sounds promising
What Item or Aspekt or whatever you use, does those Poison Explosion when you dash with Shred? :o That looks cool and seems to hit hard :D
Also how do you even poison the enemies? I did not really get it in that Video...
Thanks :)
There is a passive on the skill tree called toxic claw that lets you poison with werewolf skills when you crit. The explosion is from stormclaw aspect
@@carthh_ ah perfect, thanks a lot! 🙂
I'd be interested to see how this hold up in higher tier nightmare dungeons. Hope you'll showcase one.
Next video!
And potentially use the ravens too for 5% more (and an early vuln source)
so, i have dire wolf, but not waxing and the other helmet aspect he recommend...is it worth switching to that?
since i've got tempest roar yesterday, planned to change my build to storm wolf. but if i could get unique axe i think i'll try this build. literally 'stealth wolf' is so fascinating.
congrats ive got 14 uniques in 24 hours all of them vasilys or barbarian items.
Will you be uploading the build without tempest roar and or waxing gibbous?
In the notes section you can find the build without uniques d4builds.gg/builds/dfe0ebcb-1e85-449a-a9e2-0acc631e965f/
got everything for this build what helm do you use though the buildguide still shows tempest roar
If you run toxic claws with tempest roar and hurricane, I wonder if this build could benefit from the blurred beast aspect.
Do you think a WW barb with max movement speed would be better/faster for farming matz and and gold?
Where does he talk about what to use when levelling and you don't have the unique for guaranteed crits and aoe clear?
I missed the build for the leveling 1-50. Where can I find it as Im really struggling in low levels. Great Plan!
Personally I didn't level with shred I found it kind of underwhelming so not sure what the best way to level with it is
@@carthh_ I get that! Shred isn't that terrific. I guess you have a character already above 70 so you can skip Storyline.
So much in fact, I swapped out exploit and rely on hurricanes' vulnerable and the occasional storm strike.
hey i like it, you tell in your video there is a build guide without the uniques? i cant find it
In the notes section of the build
Is there a spreadsheet like for the stormwolf build floating around? It's so helpful as a quick reference when going through gear.
Unfortunately no, haven't seen anything like that yet
It's not bad, Lupine Ferocity helps cover that and most bosses are pretty much push overs and don't really do anything
What build do you recommend to level with?
How is it at pushing nightmare? This looks like a fast gold grinding build but I am not seeing the defense required to push NM like your tornado build.
You can do nightmare dungeons pretty comfortably with this build and it has pretty similar defenses to tornado. But if you're looking to push to the highest possible nightmare dungeons tornado is better
Where did you talk about doing this build early??
What are your thoughts about incorporating Mad Wolf's Glee into the build?
Definitely a solid choice if you're looking for more damage
what about the uptime of grizzly rage ?
Am I missing it?
i'm looking for this as well. I wonder if he meant in another video?
Fixed now, thanks for the heads up!
@@prezalations Definitely possible.
@@carthh_ sweet. thanks a ton!
How do you get so much health? I’m running around with half that amount at level 88. I see you don’t have anything too crazy in terms on max life rolls and following the paragon board you have I don’t have any more max life to pick up before 100
Hi Carthh! Great vids and super helpful since launch. In this video you said you’d include a build with no uniques. Have I missed it?
In the notes section d4builds.gg/builds/cf43f5dc-6c11-4168-972d-454c849ebae5/
Yeah you can just put the dark howl aspect on your helm and you run claw instead of stormstrike and debilitating roar instead of hurricane
Just wondering im a bit confused. Still new. The perks on the legendary can be extracted right? Meaning lets say if i get a very good perk on my level 40 boots then i want to put it in my level 60 boots. Thts okay? But item level will be low right since its extracted from a lower level gear
Yes you can extract a low level legendary power and put it on your high level gear
@Carthh I see but the power item level will b low inpresume?
So is there going to be another video explaining in detail how you do this build without the uniques? Or did i just miss that part.
Sorry about that, the build is in the notes section of the main build
@@carthh_ Thanks man!
Not sure i caught it, but how are you keeping your spirit so high? I feel like i deplete my spirit so quickly with shred. But to be fair im still early and about to hit 50. Just wondering for the future of my build
Dire wolf aspect and lust for carnage

what do you think is best? pulverize or this build? im playing pulv, and i wanna try something new, but i dont wanna loose to much progress.
Shred will be faster and pulverize will clear higher
@@carthh_ danm
I'm using almost same build. But I used zenith ring. I could infinite trample everytime shred killed an enemy. What do you think about that build variant? and also why you don't use aspect activating hurricane add +2 shapeshift skills?
Zenith seems interesting but you can't use it with Dire Wolf and I really like Dire Wolf. I like building defensively that's why I don't have the +2 shapeshift
@@carthh_ Zenith is used when direwolf is off. That's the only unique I currently have right now. Whenever direwolf is off, I use shred+trample with werebear aspect consume 150% poisoned damage.
but adding 30% lightning dmg to shred seems interesting too
well I think it's just depends on what unique you have right now.
Which do you like better to push nightmare dungeons, tornado or this build?
Tornado
Great build! Loving it now even though I don't have the Unique gears yet, any chance you'll upload another vid for the version without the Unique gears?
I'm working on something like this!
@@carthh_ What would be awesome! +1 Sub!
@@carthh_ I am using this build already, any solution for lack in spirits sometimes?
@@CodeJuan You'll need a well rolled dire wolf aspect on your neck is the biggest help
Very entertaining to watch! I'm no expert high level, but is that kind of normal to steamroll monsters 5 levels below you at 100? I'm lvl 65 poison werewolf for now...feels kinda bad sometimes when poison creeper doesn't proc
Depends on your build, some builds can struggle with it while others do well
It is just started
So I’m a little dumb when it comes to build crafting so bear with me, but what is giving you back spirit? I put together the majority of the build (don’t have the uniques yet so I’m using the early version) and I’m constantly out of spirit
Lust for carnage paragon node is most of it, along with spirit on kill
@@carthh_ oooh okay that makes sense, thank you
How are you stacking crits? Just confused on how this mechanic works before fighting a boss. My axe only crits for 2 seconds and then its gone, or so I understand.
Sorry about that, that was a little confusing. When you're in grizzly rage dire wolf and you crit you get a stack of crit damage, so ideally you would enter grizzly rage and fight some monsters to get some crit damage stacks before going into the boss room and killing it before your run out of grizzly rage
How do you manage spirit for this build ? Did I miss the timestamp you talk about it?
Dire wolf on amulet and lust for carnage paragon node
Some of the nodes in that lightning cluster work with the lightning splash from shred! Not that it’s needed, but it might be a way to eek out that much more damage
Good idea! Definitely worth it
Hey man you know you can pick two boons from one row right?
im clearing around lvl 40 NM's with pulverise at lvl 78 with ease but im so bored of it. ive got waxing gib at ancestral almost max roll but not the helm or chest uniques. Ive got all the aspects needed for the non unique version of this build (with waxing) Do you think this would be a good change for me or should i just keep playing bored til the helm drops, if it ever does?
Pulv will probably be better overall to keep playing, this would just be if you want something fun and a change of pace
You need Tempest Roar

Everyone who is saying that Druid only has 1 build is completely delusional. This is like the third or fourth warewolf build that looks like it completely shreds the game (not even counting other wearbear, human, or shape shifting builds). Great build man, can’t wait to try it out
I feel as if Druid is only good with uniques it feels so sluggish compared to other classes without uniques
druid is utter crap without uniques and i cannot get either of these to drop.

I've been having a ton of fun with the Shred build. I think tornado performs better overall but this build has been so much fun after playing a lot of tornado
I've been playing shred since the start and I'll say this build excels in pvp I've been able to rip through whole teams because of the ambush and sheer damage after one kill
