Your kids are beautiful. Aw. It is amazing what happens when we let go of things that don't truly matter and exchange if for our time with our family and in nature. I love that your daughter was able to learn how to grow pumpkins. Beautiful video with true words.
Beautiful video Alessandra. I love the music in the background. You are so right about consumerism and that we are urged to spend on stuff we don't need. I used to be like that myself (I'm a recovering shopping addict) however, I never had the fear of missing out. I am an eccentric, always going my own way and trying to compete with my neighbours over who's got the bigger car, fancier holiday abroad etc. just didn't bother me. People regularly call me weird because I love to spend time in nature, grow my own, make my own stuff, upcycle and so on. They don't understand why would I bother to do so when they find it so easy to just buy things. I'm mending an old chindi rug at the moment, as my dogs chewed a part of it off. I'm just crocheting a patch for it. Both the rug and yarn were second-hand, obviously. Anyways, have a lovely day and I'm looking forward to your next video ❤❤❤.
You are so lucky to stop and slow down when your kids are still young. I'm in that slow down mode but my kids are grown, luckily I've got a grandson now and it's about time since I'm now 67. That's a good age to be a grandpa .
I only shop this time of year, for the sales but that comes with a lot of boundaries. I sit down, and first and foremost, I am thankful for what I already have. Next, I go through all of my items in my house. I do more decluttering than buying now. I look at where I have gaps and really think is it a gap or just a need to fill something? Fill space? It's helped a lot. I love doing a deep intentional cleaning, in my house, mind, surroundings this time of year. I've put up a few strings of Christmas lights and bought a beautiful candle. I hung my pine wreath outside and swept away the cobwebs on the front porch. I am at peace.
Thank you for your wonderful video Alexandria I feel happy to have found a new freedom in slow living over the course of 2023 but I feel a little sad that I’ve wasted so many years living a stressful fast life for many years particularly when my kids were growing up I feel like I did it all wrong I can’t help but wish I’d known a more slow therapeutic way its like my eyes have been opened up to the things that my heart truly feels at peace with but better late than never’ I can’t wait to see your next video thank you so much 🍂🪴🌻🦋
Your so incredibly inspirational ❤

@@HerCupOfSIMPLE we are doing pretty good right now thank you! 😘
I love how you said that the chapter of my child’s childhood, is also the chapter of my motherhood. It reflects both ways.🧡
