As of what Luard currently has rn, it feels kinda underwhelming from how I feel after testing. The only good beat sticks Luard has are G1 and G3 Ritual. For Dragdriver, I think it's kinda weak compare to other 3 first stride units bc it doesn't give any additional power when the deck doesn't have much offensive power. For the crest, while it's beneficial, how good it is would depend on how much the deck can dig through the deck. As of now, it doesn't dig that deep bc Dragheart's skills trade 2 drop for 2 rear and Dragdriver dig 1 card from deck. Also, what are Dragstrider's skill and requirement bc both Jet's and Messiah's main stride require you to discard Jet and Messiah to stride, respectively. What if Dragstride requires you to discard Luard to activate its effect? (bc Luard can stride cost already.) Overall, Morfessa and Dragstrider needs to give good offensive power (esp. Morfessa bc first stride turn feels very weak when many decks can kill you in turn 3-4.) bc it feels pretty weak rn.
Man… knies not having ritual skill…is just sadge… shadow relies on their g1 the most, so running 4 vanillas g1 a in deck that relies on its g1 is just… I don’t even what to call it… at if it had even a basic ritual skill of +2k it might have useful for calling of of dragfall/abyss to get a retire but yeah no… we couldn’t even get that…
2 weeks after release, I can safely say that the deck is mid af. struggles to keep hand, morfessa only being active on 2nd stride turn feels too slow. Testing japanese lists isn’t working out too well, either. current standard meta gets too big and rushes too hard. dog promo or not, the deck’s survivability is near-nonexistent.
Yes and no, just the deckset as it is absolutely id agree with you. But when you include staple cards such as Painkiller and Grade 1 from set 12 that allows you to use it as a PG, id argue you can easily guard a lot of stuff. Shiranui is kinda insane yes but if you know how to play into it, it's not that bad.
@@dragnoa.shadow i feel one issue is that everyone is only interested in talking about the Shiranui matchup, but like, even with painkillers and the g1 pg witch, the deck eats it hard in a lot of matchups. it gets rushed down too hard in my experience.
This deck with out the next stride being bonkers is absolutely trash it has great applications in premium but it along with shiranui will be tier 5 at best in standard

Shiranui easily. Unless the banlist choice restricts it with grade 4 varinia then it depends on the rest of the reveals

Yea, there is a grade 1 from set 13 that lets you soul charge when placed from a cards ability so I'm considering running that in the standard build
