- An angry mob in Mexico poured water on a clueless female tourist, hurled insults at her and demanded that she be locked up after she ascended the ancient Mayan pyramid and was filmed dancing on the stairs.
The unidentified woman, who is said to be a Spanish national, sparked an outrage Monday when she ignored the rules barring visitors from climbing Mayan Temple of Kukulcán in Chichén Itzá, which was named in 2007 one of the New 7 Wonders of the World by UNESCO.

There's lots of Mayan pyramid site spread throughout Southern Mexico. You can't climb that one, but there are other sites where you can climb (: For example you can climb the pyramids in Merida, Mexico because they aren't as tall (less hazardous from falling) and less worn down. They give tours that take you to the top and demonstrate how they would pray up there using their Mayan language. It's much more interactive than this main site that has the biggest pyramid.
Thanks for the info. I guess I kinda thought that if you weren’t hurting anything, then you could climb the steps. People should ask an official of the site first. One thing that gets me, is those tourists who antagonize the Royal Palace Guards in England, or the US Marine Sentries who guard the Tomb Of The Unknown Soldier.
Why aren’t ppl allowed to climb this one?

She lucky they didn't say Stone this woman!!! Stone her, stone her, stone her!!! Lol 🤣
She was making fun of the people first, she was saying yeah yeah let them lock me up, and dancing and all that, then she was down and she was rethinking her life choices! 😂
no she was not. She actually think they were cheering her so she was like dancing and then realizes they were mad at her😂
@@Anniecurls nope, i speak Spanish I know what she’s staying lol
I like her
@@Anniecurls That’s what I got from it to. People just want to make things up for dramatic effects..
@@marialacona I couldn't hear her saying anything in the video. If she was disrespecting the people there, then that's not cool.
That person dumped that water on the wrong people and didnt even get her.
It's always the cowards that come in behind to hit someone or do something like that and then run away
🤣
Send her to the cenotes!
And then chucked the bottle into the crowd... I bet they never picked it up... They're no better than the idiot the video was focused on
Yeah lol idiots
This is what I found about this disrespectful tourist, “…Officials said that Abigail Villalobos had attempted to pass herself off as a Spaniard after being arrested for her viral stunt, but it has since been determined that she is actually from Mexico.”
It is unfortunate that Abigail Villalobos disrespected her people and her own culture.
These are sacred, historical and archeological sites. You generally are not allowed to enter them because of its significance as a prayer place etc and alsoto maintain the integrity of the structure. There are designated areas where entrance and climbing will be allowed. Same with Pyramids in Egypt. You are not allowed to climb them. There is evidence of collapse on certain of them, so to maintain their integrity n avoid injury, climbing is not allowed.
Ignorance and boasting can get you into trouble or killed.
Locals: "sacrificing is back!"
🤣🤣
Sure seems that way…
F yeah
Don‘t think the gods would be pleased with a russian
People do this online to each other all the time. The online mob 😮
