  • Thisnis an advanced technique for qualified gunsmiths to perform. This video address the severe cases where fine tuning is needed for reset issues. This tends to happen primarily in 22lr and 9mm/subgun caliber platforms, but can happen in any caliber or platform. Your range of material to remove is .002-.005 from the locking bar sear surface. By removing this material, you’re allowing the trigger to reset sooner in the cycle. Must use a good, fine file or square stone. Work SLOW, and only one-two passes at a time, checking function every two passes. Mark the surface with a marker every pass to witness the material you’re removing.

Received my P.R.B and locking bar upgrade last week, finally got to tinker around with trying to run it in my AR -9
You couldn’t be more right on
“AR - 9mm all over the place”
I have various AR-9’s. Anyway tried a couple different combinations. With diff buffer weights and BCG’s ..
was about ready to give up. When I put in a BCG from one of the other AR -9 builds and a
8.2 buffer weight and it runs super good
    Crazy.

The headaches of trying to design a part that works across multiple platforms like this ALB was insane.

@@barryarmsfflsot I’m sure glad you did though, thanks for all your hard work. Just put in an order for 2 P.R.B ‘s and another ALB .
Going to try the PRB In a Alamo 15 ,
And the rest for my other WOT.
      Thanks again.
I really wanted to get the WOT to run in the AR-9 and without your ingenuity and craftsmanship it wouldn’t of been possible ..
I highly recommend your upgrades to anybody

      Some still need some
Fine tuning. I really tried to make it work in everything, but that’s basically impossible. Let me know if you need some help.

With the 22lr. Do you know if the issue is caused by the cheep auto sear. Or is this also happening with the bore buddy’s auto sear? Thanks.

The honest answer was these triggers don’t work in 22 kits. The fact some people get them to work is the exception. It’s all the above

@@barryarmsfflsot I don’t get out to the range as often as others but I am determined to get my custom dedicated 22lr upper to function correctly. I use bore buddy parts. I don’t make videos, but I’ll make dummy cards to reference for fine tuning. I’ll add comments to this thread with results.
