Why wouldn't you!He gives u the real, straight no chaser.
@@brianreed7145 I see what you did there 😎
@@MikesJapanTravels It was cheap but l did it anyway! But Chad is the man just watching him grow into the giant he is becoming inspires me
This just dropped into my feed. I would say that it depends how you define the term Blues. Blues is the same in Jazz as it is in Blues It is a term that sits on a sliding scale, which could mean anything. To a Blues player Bird is a jazz Player. To a post Trane player Bird is a blues player.
Okay Chad you got with the the 1st minute lol. That was hilarious! Fantastic video too
Hi Chad, I’m really enjoying your pdf books and videos including this one which I’ve been playing through just now. Such amazing clarity you share!! It’s really lifted me today. I have 11 of your e-books now - it’s like learning to fly. Big thanks!
Love you Chad
You are the greatest bro! CLB University?!?! You got an Angel Investor/Disciple here lol
You are a wonderful teacher! Also you sound a lot like Johnny Griffin when you play the basic blues and the bebop blues. And that is compliment!
Hey Chad! Hope you get to read this, I used to be be a guitar player but due to physical issues and a mental burnout I had to quit playing and even thinking about music for about 3 years. Your content has been extremely helpful at creating motivation to get back at the horse and most of all, feeeling HAPPINESS when playing my instrument. I hope you have a great life and your channel keeps growing bigger and bigger. Best regards!
Some really great etudes @Chad LB! I’ve got an old book of etudes by Dan Higgins that is fantastic along with a wonderful chorus of blues written by Steve Grossman when a college friend took a lesson from him back in the ‘80s.
Man, I learned more in 10 mins with your video than I have in years!!!! You explain it so clearly and I get it. Which is amazing to me, because I haven't for years!!!! I'm ordering this book!!! Outstanding presentation...
Thanks so much, John!! So glad you're enjoying the content!!
Nice examples of jazz blues! The blues shuffle etude was really hip! (I grew up in the neighborhood of the South Side of Chicago where Buddy Guy, Otis Spann and Junior Wells played blues). And, yes the bebop etude was intimidating, despite the 10 year old Chad story.
I'm learning a lot from this after playing for 35 years the saxophone
Great video
Absolutely one of your greatest jazz improv lessons Chad ! Looking forward to working through the Blues Etudes pdf package. Thank you for this terrific educational opportunity.
Thanks so much for watching and for the kind words, Ric! Enjoy the PDF Package!
great information, thanks so much dear
love that sax articulation 🎸🤝🎷
The graphics and lesson is extremely good. Probably be on these lessons for a while
Chad is a monster! With his lessons I always start going yeah cool, I see this and can do it and then next etude I'm all "I'm dead"
Thank you!!
Last one is fire
Gotta hand it to the man - Chad knows his sh*t!
You are the best
And also this is a blues (y también esto es un blues): la re re mi la re, la re re mi la re, la re mi fa# sol la fa sol la sol fa re mi DOO🤯😂. I love you, Chad. Quality content, now i have material for a days, analyzing these lines. Hahah doesn't matter but your speech change a little bit i think Chad at the beginning, i think is more relaxed, your voice is in a more low tone hahaha only a curiosity, well so good speak. Oh but your tone of the voice is perfect, not too low, like Parker, Lol 😂. (Laugh of the Parker at the final of Thou Swell at the Washington theatre). And the negative harmony like Collier? Subtitles in English please, or Spanish but that is more difficult hehe.
Great 👌
Genio!!!!!
The line with the 6th is a ‘regular’ blues scale lick on the relative minor.
A great idea that you can use all these material to write more [standard etudes pdfs]. Can't wait to buy them!~
You take the Mystique Out of it. Thank you. 😎
this is so sick
How are you doing all that underlining and graphics? the vid looks amazing!
Hi Master! Can you make a tutorial for play Funk jazz. What is the way to make a funk jazz phrase?
Love this work. Btw, not sure where I should post this, but I have a question about your 15 approach note enclosure book. Is the best way to progress through the book by starting on page 1, and just doing it one exercise at a time until I master them chronologically? Or does it not matter?
Perfect meme format: "this is a blues *insert meme* and finally this is a blues *insert meme* "
Thank you @chadlb you have always been one of the sources of inspiration to me and some other jazz musicians in the globe.
Please, Is this class for a beginner, intermediate or an advance player? My head aches 😭 😭 😭
for all:)
Intermediate readers. If you do a full analysis, it’s for advanced players.
Sounds like this material is for anyone ages 10 or above. :) Just need to have the patience and discipline to take it slowly and/or in small chunks.
u are a ultra pro.... :)
Is the analysis included in the booklet?
Chad I would like to speak somewone about the various books available for Trumpet
Jazz Patterns of Jerry Cooker et al to practice this scale also!

Best advice to guitar players; STOP LISTENING TO GUITAR PLAYERS ! The horn players lead the way and always have. Listen to guitar player and you'll sound like a guitar player. Study the horn players, and you'll sound like a MUSICIAN !
Robben Ford.
I'm a guitarist..I find it hard to listen to guitar phrasing...too corny and predictable plus weak tones as compared to horns. Seems to be dishonest to me to rely on tricks rather then true soulful inspired playing.
Julian Lage
Pat Martino
Wes Montgomery
Pat Methany
John Scofield
The list goes on
Ever hear of Grant Green?
So shut up!
Absolutely true.
Is this for a tenor sax thanks
Kind of strange that this is a Saxophone video, but everything’s written concert key. I have to learn how to transpose on the fly or sit down and write everything in Bb. Are the PDF packages all in concert as well?
Does your tenor have a low A?
Your bottom end sounds like chocolate tastes Chad.
Non si può tradurre in italiano grazie 😅
*5 ways for sax-gods to solo blues* -fixed.
Here because I want to play the blues like Bill Clinton
Blues??..
All this examples at the begin (i don't like) sounds to some kind of jazz.. not blues.
Great video and material!
They're blues in the sense that they're based on the blues form, i.e. 12 bars of music in 3 four bar sections - but you may be thinking of Blues as a whole musical style - eg muddy waters, BB king - It's best to think of this as "Jazz Blues".
Hi Chad, I’m really enjoying your pdf books and videos including this one which I’ve been playing through just now. Such amazing clarity you share!! It’s really lifted me today. I have 11 of your e-books now - it’s like learning to fly. Big thanks!
Thank you so much, Damien! So glad you’re enjoying the e-books and so great to hear how much they’re helping you! Happy shedding!
@@ChadLefkowitzBrown Hello Chad! is the chord at 1:47 right? Maybe it's still Am7, not Bø7.
