Watchdives has really upped their game. I love the fact they are listening to their customers' opinions. IMHO they are leading the trend of producing smaller case watches as evidenced here, as well as offering watches with the VH series 'auto' quartz movements. As a result, the last three watches I've bought are WD's with the Seiko Meca-quartz movement, and I love them. They're lighter, thinner, much more accurate and of course, less expensive. Sounds like a great business plan to me! Thanks for the great review as always, Steve.
I've been really interested in this one. That white dial looks awesome, and the sizing is perfect! I don't think I can pull off a 42mm anymore because my wrist size has shrunk at least a quarter inch since I started dialysis. Great review as always, Steve!
This might be the best Seamaster Homage for the money out there. Thanks for the great and honest review as always. As for that “other” reviewer giving a crappy review because Watchdives won’t give him free watches… I don’t expect anything less from someone like him. Thanks again!
I think Watchdives are a good value for money. I haven't really seen anything on the ones I have received to complain about. For my daily rotation sake I hope they come out with more VH31 options.
Lol at the WR4K mention😂. I do watch his reviews because he is a bit more harsh and technical and I like it. With that in mind I still bought this watch (blue version) and and I like it.
Looks just fine on your wrist. I have a bony 7 1/4" wrist and sold all but a couple of my 22mm lug watches (only have 3 left out of 60+). I love the fact they have 18mm to 16, and wish all 20mm tapered to 16. I sold my WISE off because the bracelet was 20-18 and needed to be 20-16. Lots of companies are getting the hint and tapering to 16.
@@ericgrafton652 yup, I really like the look of 20-16, it's my preferred taper as well. Some watches look of with less taper, no watches look good with no taper (looking at you, Omega)
@@EscapeWheel even my rubber straps need to taper, as well as mesh. SC has a 20-16 shark mesh that's really nice. Nodus just tapered their 500 Deep from 20-18 to 20-16 and it looks awesome,
I’m a fan! Dig the sizing, OTF microadjust (does omegas have this?), and aluminum bezel, plus it looks great on a nato. Would love to see WD get creative with colors, an orange or red dial could be fun. As always, great review
Beautiful watch. It’s the only watch out of all those Ali Express ones that I am considering now. 39 is perfect on my smaller wrist. Could be a good beater dive watch
Great review and a very solid watch for the money. Usually it is the bracelet that lets watches in this price band down but I think it is above average with that nice on the fly micro adjust. I love the look of the vintage colour way with its yellowy orange markers. I would probably not go for this version as I have about a 7 3/4 inch wrist but I do not think it looked small on you. It also looked great on the straps and I usually have my watches on the double pass NATO style. They have the 42mm titanium version for £127 which is a bargain. This is on my watch list thanks to your great review.
I’m not sure if you’ve heard of the brand or done a review but n any of their pieces but i recently picked up a corgeut day-date from AliExpress, personally it’s quite a stunning and well made watch, I’d love to see you do a review on one at some point
Thanks for the excellent review! Guess it is as I feared, it is too small for me as I have the same wrist size as yours. Sad that they don't have plans to make the bigger size, guess just gotta wait. Hopefully they will fix the date window and some of the finishing in the future.
I was going to go for this, but decided to try the titanium 3-link bracelet version. Still a helpful informative review as usual, thank you. Regards, 😜
Excellent move to make it in 39mm : I have it in 42mm from Octopus Kraken, and it's a tad big. The problem I see is that most colours are out of stock right now, or is it just me ?
Telling me I shouldn't pay attention to something is just issuing a challenge for me to find this guy's review. I couldn't find a negative review about this watch and now I'm dying to know what video you were talking about at the beginning.
Great review 👍. It looks great on a black strap, I think white is the best dial colour on the Seamaster. I do hate the He valve and the hands, but they aren't Watchdive's fault 🙄
Thanks for that, great review. Yes that "High Def" watch reviewer is a bit shady. I have unsubscribed from him but I did check out his review of this watch because there were very few reviews available. He was pretty harsh on this and there are reports on reddit that he tried to extort Watchdives. I am pretty happy with my Blue WD007ST, would have preferred a triangle at 12 on the blue bezel over the 60 but other than that one of my favourites.
Im waiting for the black version to be in stock again to buy it! And I agree, that other reviewer as a little unfair with his review. You can’t measure a sub 200 dollar watch with Rolex / Patek standards 🤣
These Chinese knockoffs (or replica/homage) have reached solid levels when factoring price. I’d absolutely consider one of these as a travel piece or beater. Great to have options at various price points. 👍🏻 Thanks for the review.
@@johnny_bravo9990 this one....I'm just over faux patina, and I'm a sucker for the White and black combo If you are asking about the 42mm titanium one I showed, I'd still go this...more wearable, better finishing and bezel, and I just prefer steel
@@EscapeWheeli like NTTD just for the faux patina and the matte dial icing on the cake is the red tip on the seconds hand. I like the black and white wave pattern in this one too. Omega design stands out
If you're talking about WR4K, he's like the only honest reviewer on line. Every time I buy a watch based on a reviewers video, I'm disappointed because you guys are all wayyyyyy too nice because you're afraid you'll stop getting free stuff from brands. He's always spot on.
I have the blue no date. Cracking watch but the 18mm lug width is ultimately the reason I'll sell it. 19mm or 20mm would be better, or - controversially - dont taper the bracelet. The taper doesnt work with the case.
Why oh why didnt they go for a polished bezel insert ? Especially if they actually used a ceramic bezel insert. Otherwise it looks spectacular (except for the 12 o clock indices)
