This fight has been kicking my ass for 2 hours. I’ve used Colossal swords, rivers of blood, dex consecutive attack build, and I just can’t find an opening. Seeing this guy do this is insane
Scummy greatshield + blood antspur with poisonist mist if you really want to make it easy, wouldn’t recommend it tho, takes all the fun from every boss

Use the dragon hunter Great katana I killed him with dragon katana + 9, Alexander jar shard crimson amber + 3, crimson Seed+1, Erdtree favor+2
Lvl 150 on NG+
Stats were
vig 60
Mnd: 10
End: 32 (I dont fully remember this one )
Str: 50
Dex: 20
Int: 10
Fth: 40
Arc: 9
Physick had stone barb and spiked cracked tears
Can probably optimize it by putting the faith points into dex or switching str and dex as it’s mainly a dex weapon and then putting faith points into arcane for more bleed build up
It’s ash can be charged for a ranged version
Starting class was Vagabond
And lastly you can use mimic for double the damage and so he can aggro off you for you to get more full charged ashes in

This weapon has the same motion values as a collosal sword when you do the charged attack

It’s just a pro player, they control the game, the bosses pace and know all the openings.
@@bravosix2960 That's very true but he does have to get lucky with the boss moveset. Not completely, but it is a bit of RNG
for those who dont know this weapon is so good for no hits because the r2s (and charged r2s too) take less stamina (this is probably a bug)
i find it funny that even tho all challenge runners use it for low dmg kills this was never fixed. like its cr2 takes less stam than its r1s lol
So THAT'S why I always see people use the alabaster's. Since it's damage, range, and ash didn't seem all that great, I always wondered why I saw it used so much. Cheap heavies is definitely a powerful bonus
It's two-handed charged attacks also have a motion value of 215, which is very high.

My favourite part is that if I want to summon Igon for the quest, I have to press “left” then “yes” in the middle of fighting him.
I finally beat this guy after a couple attempts, my best advice is to stick to attacking the head (basically fight him like you'd fight midir)
I don't understand, when i do that all my attacks miss...his head is a lot smaller and far above the field in comparaison...
@@missalphy4315 His head is low after he does a combo, just play patiently his poise isn't crazy high either and go for one maybe two hits each time.

@@OH-uh4pcevery time youre gonna say "just do ____" do us all a favor and shut up, we are all "just doing" literally everything we have power to do. First off you can only do one hit per attack for most of them, this guy is getting lucky, the follow ups punish you for doing more than one, this happens on his fire breath moves, his slam move, and his bite grab move and probably more that I just haven't had the misfortune of getting yet, in this video he doesn't even do the follow up once that's what we call rng, not skill, this is obviously a very skillful player to dodge the boss in the first place even if he does have a light roll which most people wont, but at the end of the day anyone could get an attempt like this if they're halfway decent at the boss and get good rng moves. Ofc when I fight him he does it every. Single. Fucking. Time, I cant even punish the slam because it happens faster than I can do a rolling r1 which is the fastest punish possible, also, his spacing makes you miss him a LOT, it's not up to me or anyone, his hitbox is just so inconsistent that you end up missing half the time, some fights click for some people really quick, I don't doubt that a lot of you are partially obscuring or flat out lying about your playthrough, because when I press anyone about Rellana or this boss they end up showing they know absolutely fuck all about how the game even works, like for you, he does not have low poise, it's fucking MASSIVE it takes at least 4 if not 5 fully charged heavys to get a stagger and that's even shown IN THIS VIDEO. So for you, I'm gonna go with you used the NPC summon and mimic tear and comet azur with infinite mana tear, brother, GTFO of the goddamn comment section, go fight him solo, then come back and tell us how fucking stupid you were.
Very good advice, the head is undoubtedly the key, I just wish the devs had made the hitbox real, it's definitely patched together cubes that only sometimes let you get the hit off, tragic because this boss would be almost as good as midir if it worked correctly

I got Bayle on my second try with my lightning build. I absolutely love fighting dragons in this game. A lot of them are genuinely strong and it makes me feel like the Elden Ring version of Gwyn or his knights. Bayle is easily one of my new favorite bosses just from his orange fire lightning and the build up to him alone.

He does have a lot of hp. Most people won't deal as much as I did bc i went full-on glass cannon in this. I've heard some people complain he's too tanky, tho with how easily he staggers it's kinda moot.

I beat him using an op strength build (dual blood giant crushers), didnt learn his moveset, just managed to break his stance and get bleed procs.
Now, i am considering to get another char in the dlc to face this guy again, it is potentially the best dragon fight of fromsoftware.
You cannot make that claim after cheesing him, that's a dumbass thing to say, and don't you dare disrespect midir like that ever again.

@@nanebeisner4998Man i love Midir , and dark souls 3 Is my favorite game i got like 2k hours on It. but Bayle is simply incredible from the point of view of scenography and also soundtrack. The combat itself is more varied in terms of attacks compared to Midir (the fact remains that Midir's laser remains the most spectacular, and has certainly radically changed the way of making dragon bosses in From software future titles). But Placidusax and Bayle are much less "traditional" as dragons, and in this they succeed very well, the fights are also very well done. So it's a matter of taste, but it's absolutely not heresy to say that Bayle is better, in some aspects for me it represents an evolution of the concept of the dragon by From (which also managed to infuse it with a certain personality in the design, between battle wounds and an almost demonic head , it manages to immediately convey its danger/malignancy). Both are fantastic however, Midir remains a little more in my heart too because of how fond I am of ds3; but the transition to the second phase of Bayle, the soundtracks and the dialogues of Igon tend to make me prefer it. I hope I haven't bored you with such a long comment 😬

thank you! those eruptions are not as large as the pool itself, it's only the part actually launching in the air that hits you, i can grab hitboxes if you want tomorrow. tho idk how i'd share the pics 😂 but yeah i was right on the edge of it. from all my testing a pool should never spawn in a spot where it could hit you if you're near his head on that attack, tho obv it only takes one counterexample to invalidate that 😂

How the actual fuck do you dodge the two laser beam attack while he’s flying in the second phase
Word I beat him a minute ago but had to tank it twice to get the dub he took forever because of that move

Gonna leave the comment for a ping of an actual legend who explains it. I beat it completely tanking the second one. I couldn't dodge it even once in like 40 attempts, no idea how that works
Disengage lock-on when he flies up. The first beam is a lot like dodging his grounded fire breath, where you dodge into it and preferably slightly to the left since he breathes left to right, from our perspective.
Then lock back onto him and dodge into the second beam. There's lightning that comes down right afterward, and you're going to want to dodge out of that.
So in summary, disengage target lock-on, dodge forward and to the left through the flames, lock onto him again, dodge forward, dodge to the side.
That's how I've seen people dodge it and I think it's how you're meant to dodge it.
@@calamitousenigma9052 first one is easy. Second one is not. Out of like 15 individual tries on that exact move, i just couldn't dodge the lighting that comes out no matter how late i dodged. In the end just followed with intentional tanking of that attack
Just beat it, so the 1st one is easy but the second one requires 2 rolls, I rolled left both times and u basically wait about 1.25 seconds after the 1st roll to do the 2nd roll i'd estimate. My winning attempt was an absolute battle and I ended up needing to dodge that attack 3 times and each one was successful.

I find this substantially more impressive than malenia no-hits. To me, this boss truly unenjoyable and BS on many levels. I think it would have been an improvement to the game overall if all bosses had more poise, but their poise reset timers be longer (e.g. 10s). Unless you play perfect like this video, it is completely RNG on what attacks bayle will do, determining whether you can get poise break before he forks off and poise resets. And for real, fork some of his hitboxes. The mouth grab can get you even when you're past his neck. Like wut?

devs apparently forgot how to make a hitbox for this fight, the boxes are terrible for all the fire shit and for his head when you're trying to hit him, the fight is an absolute mess compared to the entire base game, but it still has absolutely nothing on Rellana

Because the levels don’t matter. Only the scadutree fragments matter for power for the DLC. In the beginning of the video they said this fight was with 20 fragments. They just put lvl 1 in the title to attract viewers lol

i personally think execution in this fight is much less demanding than against malenia. like there are a lot of precise dodges against her while against messmer as long as you understand what you have to do and the strats it's pretty straight forward. (this is my kill) obv figuring all this out is probably harder for him than malenia bc of the dmg he deals and his hp so i understand why a lot of people think he's harder than malenia, but if you compare them based on how hard they are to fight once you understand them i think messmer is much easier.
vanilla radahn, if that's what you meant, is not anywhere near any of these bosses. he's like several orders of magnitude easier both in terms of execution and learning process, in my opinion of course. if you meant the other radahn tho then yeah...i don't think anything compares to that lol

@@julianaskoe3260 yeah i think final radahn is harder mechanically. the challenge running community doesn't even know rn how to dodge half of his attacks lol. i'm sure strats will be discovered but at least malenia only had one problem attack. well, you can parry him and that makes him much much easier but it depends on what you allow yourself to use ofc. and definitely he's the hardest in the franchise.

Backup save file, can also easily respawn bosses with cheat engine if you’re on pc

Those people who have killed him already, how does he compared to the other DLC dragon bosses?
I mean, Kalameet, Sinh & Midir (especially the last one).
As for the other dragons in base ER, he definitely looks harder than the Wyverns encountered in the open world, he also seems to have a lot of AoE attacks like Placidusax, but unlike him he’s also got more melee moves that are faster.
He's the hardest overall but still not that bad tbh.
He's kinda like juiced up midir.
Like Midir hes got crazy resistances, but you should be fine sticking to his head like midir. Definitely harder than midir, but just as good if not better. Positioning is key in this fight as you need to see what he is doing and by sticking to his head it should be pretty easy to see it. Btw having a ranged option is nice cause a lot of his attacks can leave you at quite a distance. I personally used sacred relic sword, but most weapons should be fine.
Midir will never be topped he is a perfect boss, the best in the entire franchise imo, as for the rest, this boss desperately needs a hitbox fix, it literally puts him lower than sinh, but if they fixed it he'd definitely be as good as kalameet, and he definitely is the hardest boss and second best looking out of them all

Because I tried without Batlon for hours. Could get him half way. If you can solo him you should help people. I'm in a castle after the Hippo headed to the map piece and you have to kill this mage guy and he spawns a huge fat guy and others and teleports around. I love this expansion.

to be fair if i had used those other three things i'm pretty sure i would've been able to skip his entire phase 2. buffs and aux have way higher potential for damage than just the blessings. it's the reason why i have an rl1 ng+7 mohg kill on my channel that's under 20 seconds lul.
that's just the restriction and i enjoy optimizing my build within set restrictions. and yeah this is my kill lel

@@hamchoi-2024 it's funny, none of my challenge runner friends really want to deal with radahn. ofc we'll have to but let's say we're in the honey moon of enjoying the rest of the dlc bosses lol. it's why there haven't rly been a lot of major radahn (pcr) kills.
i do hope he gets solved. rellana's had some major breakthroughs recently which made her much more enjoyable so i'm sure radahn will as well. but yeah i don't enjoy fighting him 😂
