    Just found your channel and I love it. Every time you talk about fixing a problem and I think about a solution, I just about scream because the video is a year old and I'm sure you came up with something great. I haven't watched all of the first video so I don't know what you did. The damaged cupboard door would look great if you put a thick wallpaper that you love in the recess. You could also line the back of the upper shelf area with the same. For the thermostat, we had the same problem. We ended out cutting a hole in the back and surrounding it wit trim. We did it a bit bigger so it looked like part of the design and not a last minute fix. Gotta go back to the video as I can't wait to see what you did!

    Slide a piece of cardboard under anything heavy and it will easily slide for you without straining yourself. My now 103 year old Mum taught me that when I was a teenager trying to change around my bedroom furniture. 🙂 Your home is lovely and your craft room is great.

    I luv how these Carson shelves look. Sooo happy to find this. I'm going to get one Carson bookcase, put that together to see how that goes, then see about those with the two doors. If these will do, it beats paying pointlessly hyper-inflated prices I found for similar bookcases that were clearly visibly engineered wood at furniture stores. I'm not paying $700 per bookcase for engineered wood if this one currently at $180 will do the same thing. That room! Wow!

    I’ve had the idea to turn the cubbies into a crafting table for a while now to save a lot of money over the one I wanted made by Bambi that sells on wayfarer for 750 to 989. I’m so glad you did this video so I could see my idea come to life. I had not thought of the Home Depot to get the top. I was going to try the ikea desktops but they were smaller then I wanted for the top. I wanted my craft table to be counter height so I could use the bar height chairs and be comfortable to do sit to stand easily. I do a lot of crafting where standing is needed. Larger projects or large pour painting needs the larger table top.
    It is also nice to have the cubbies just beneath the tabletop so you have ready access to your crafting supplies as needed. LOVE your room! Thank you!

    • @katrinasgracefulcreations3711
      @katrinasgracefulcreations3711  2 года назад

      You can truly design it how you want and customize it for your needs. At first I was going to leave a space in the middle open on one aside to put a stool underneath but I truly needed a lot of storage. And the table tops at ikea are much slimmer and cost more. I came out cheaper at home depot.

    If you are on the first floor and your basement has an open/unfinished ceiling. You can find where the current thermostat wire goes from the furnace and runs up to your thermostat. Then drill a hole between the next stud over in your craft room and through the joist header in the basement. Fish a new cord down to the basement and connect it & disconnect the wire from the thermostat & reconnect it to the new spot. Patch your wall, paint and done.

    You can get the door fixed easily! Call the customer service number in the instruction booklet and tell them the piece was broken when you opened the box and that you need them to send you a new one. If they ask were you bought it and such, just say Target but you don't have the receipt. Then the manufacturer will send you a brand new door. 🙂 Easy peazy!

    Love love love your new work area!! Just a little advice put a block underneath your large work area the one you joined together with brackets the weight is going to be to much for those small brackets. The screws will pull out in time when weight is put on the table like when you do your fabulous unboxings! Paint a block of some sort white and put it in the center to reduce stress in the middle! I love watching your videos!!

    For future, a drill is for drilling. A driver is for screwing screws in. Also, it is a good idea to drill a pilot hole to prevent cracking. Also consider putting plywood under your melamine. The core of melamine is particle board and if you have any shake, even if it minor, it will begin to breakdown at your screws and if your base has a core of melamine the same will happen at your brackets.

    Love what you're doing with your craft room. I know you might not want to do it but you could do a small cut-out in the back of your shelf to have access to you thermostat so you could have the shelf flush to the wall. The board on the back looks like it might be thin mdf board which could be cut threw with a sharp box cutter.

I'm short so I was thinking if I add those fabulous legs on mine it would be to tall for me. But again I love love love those legs. I'm in love how everything looks. Excited to see end results. TFS🤩
