MR intel... not always... I saw this one vdo IN which the lady DID give the koala water and the koala didn’t care for it.
He went up a tree afterwards that wasn’t a eucalyptus tree.
These koalas live attached to eucalyptus trees it’s their home that has their only food source.
And the lady of THIS vdo lives right by the water so she probably figured if the koala was thirsty he would go to the water to drink water
These koalas are going everywhere in search of eucalyptus trees as most of them got burned down

True Wild animals approach humans if they need help their hungry or need food, water or their injured. I was at the. Beach vehen a pelican came. Up to me I could C he or she was injured so some one suggested I phone Australia zoo as they were about 30 minutes away by car and they did come out and took the pelican back veith them and I checked a few days later and they were giving it medical treatment and said they would take it back to the same area once it healed they were wonderful 💏💕💜💙❤️💝💏

      here are some koala facts:
      - koala's drink little water (though they can still sip); they extract most of their water (and other dietary contents) from eucalyptus leaves
      - koala translates to "no drink" in one of the aboriginal languages

    • @zorex.
      @zorex. 4 года назад +11

@Yellow Cab i was speaking about regular koalas but whatever. also you do realize that giving thirsty koalas bottles of water, whilst noble, is also dangerous to their health (in particular their lungs)? that's why regular koalas prefer eucalyptus

Seriously mate, I lived in the states and learned that there is no standardized "Yank" accent. The Northeast US is dominated by NY, Boston (New England) accents, ever hear someone from Long Island or Brooklyn? The South, indeed very noticeable, as are those from the Upper Midwest (Minnesota, Wisconsin, the Dakotas). Our accents here in OZ and NZ are horrid in my opinion, somewhat like the Afrikkaner accent from South Africa. I rather like the regional accents of the US.

    • @fubukifangirl

You hear that Australian accent? No? That's because she's not Australian. She's not familiar with koalas. For all she knows it will steal her baby and inject her with venom from its claws.
I'm exaggerating, but still... Most Americans don't expect wild animals to come up to them to try to get food or water.

Many of these koalas are accepting water only out of desperation not knowing they can get sick from it to the point to where they can die from it.
These koalas are traveling everywhere in search of eucalyptus tree NOT water.
They have unique sensitive stomach that can only tolerate moisture from eucalyptus leaves

She seems to be an American tourist judging by the accent. She probably had no idea it was looking for water, though it is common practice in Australia. It doesnt seem fair to hold that against her :p I'm sure the koala left to find water in someone else's backyard.

@@kazbah1217 ...no, it's just called "first experience". Leaving water out for koalas is an utterly Aussie thing. Not many people outside Australia have encountered koalas in their backyard because koalas are, idk, only in Australia. Consequently they often have no idea what koalas are looking for in their backyard.

@@intj1434 I diasagree dear. All animals drink water, not just koalas. Nothing to do with a "first experience". Like I said its lack of intelligence. Too selfishly interested in getting pics to make money on you tube instead of using common sense and seeing that this animal has come here cause it needs something it can't get readily from outside. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and I don't appreciate you suggesting that my take on this issue is wrong.
