Took them out of oil to add them to olive oil. This is just Rosti ... the Swiss have been eating it for centuries and they have a much better way of cooking it.

OR you could make the version that won’t give you a heart attack later. Olive oil to cover the bottom of a pan and ONE PAT of butter. Cook onions and bell peppers in olive oil for about 3 mins and add sliced potatoes. Let them sit until they start to become brown on bottom then stir. Let it sit again until they start to get brown again on bottom and stir.
Way healthier, easier, and no heart attack on a plate.
it is actually called… Tortilla de patatas… in Barcelona Spain, or may be all over Spain…but it would be much delicious if the onions been cooked a bit more brown and 8 or 10 eggs…

Yeah that’s how we’ve always done it. My mom called it Goobledy gop. We also fried up some ham or sausage or bacon and put it in with some cheese as well. We ate it for dinner sometimes too!
I prepare potatoes and onions in my air fryer tossed in about a tablespoon of avocado or grape seed oil. They can be added to the egg mixture directly from the air fryer as well. Put it into a frying pan with some oil, butter or ghee. Brown it on both sides and voila. Total yumminess without the deep frying 😋

I cook it everytime but not with soo much oil,
i just use one onion, with
4/5tablespoons of oil,
2potatoes/3 sliced,cook till golden,
some chilli and salt to taste
One sliced carrot,
Whole/half green pepper(dont let the carrot n gpepper cook too much)
Beat 3/4eggs in a bowl and mix ,then put them back in ur pan and keep turning depending on your heat...

We fried potatoes & when they were done. We pour the egg mixture in it and then stir it together so you had fried potatoes in scrambled eggs mixed together. It’s pretty delicious, but we didn’t have all that grease.
Yep I buy frozen potatoes OBrien and cook them up until soft and brown and add egg and mix in and cook till eggs are done. Also add Ketchup on top. Very filling and quick to make.

Why couldnt she just put a tablespoon of olive oil and saute, when potatoes are soft add the onions take you six eggs and beat them, then just pour the egg over your potatoes and onions. You can even add bell peppers,spinach, and meat of your choice & cheese! Its called a BKFST SCRAMBLE !!!🤯🤷😂

@pearlieking7677 eggs don't take that long to cook. Maybe 3 minutes. Just take a peek by lifting up the eggs after cooking for a couple of minutes and cook until how done you like them.
Saute your onions FIRST! Then deep fry your potatoes if you must, but potatoes can be fried with far less oil than that. Too much frying in oil WILL CLOG your arteries!
This is a Spanish recipe, she's more or less following as it's fine the and olive oil doesn't clog your arteries.

I was literally going to say that instead of frying up everything we just cooking on the stove and then add the egg to cook it how we like.. also all that oil is unnecessary. Also like to add various vegetables as well and when it's all done iTopIt with cilantro or green onions sour cream and cheese n a little picante sauce but I prefer freshly-made pico de gallo

Do you want the Spanish tortilla recipe: It's like the one in the video but DIFFERENT.
Potatoes should be cut thinner, like half the ones in the video. The oil should be low. The potatoes and onion at the same time. Mix every couple of minutes. After around 20 minutes you'll have the potato really soft. Skip the pepper, salt will suffice. Directly to a colander. The oil is not going to waste. Use it to make a nice stew. Now you can proceed with the whisked eggs and it's ready for the hot not too much, pan.
