im so happy that more about Autism is being talked about. It can only help us all to be better human beings to one another. im am aunt of a little boy with autism and it is hard for me to get close to him. so, thank you, to all of you, for helping me to understand!
This play perfectly captured what it’s like to being on the autism spectrum! Christopher is a great roll model and Alex Sharp played the character perfectly!!!! He deserved his Tony award
I am a 16 year old with Asperger’s and I was lucky to have the opportunity to play the role of Cristopher in a local amateur productions of ‘curious’, I think he is such a brilliant character and I can relate to some of the situations he is put in as much as other autistic people do, to be able to represent people on the spectrum’s by playing this character was an honour
Even though people with autism may struggle in their own ways. There are a lot of different abilities that people with autism have such as some of them having a strength in math or science, having a long-term memory, and even noticing details that others may not notice. People with autism should not just be seen from their outsides, it’s what’s on the inside that counts.
There is a very simple answer to your question. Why are so many people "diagnosed" with Autism now as opposed to previously. Throw a wider net and you catch more fish. I worked in mental health for 20 years (with adolescents). I finally got out of the field when I saw the dysfunctional and frequently unethical manner in which psychiatrists throw labels on people after spending very little time with them. Labels that are frequently not congruent with the diagnostic criteria. For example. A kid daydreams for a few minutes and boom, he must be autistic. This is how these people keep themselves getting paid. It's actually a national crisis that is being ignored. At one job we used to have to run clinical information by the on call physician to get an "order" to admit a patient. These physicians rotated being on call. One of them was an "expert" on tourettes syndrome. It is one of the most amazing coincidences that I have ever observed that nearly every single kid that ended up randomly assigned to this physician ended up with a diagnoses of "tourette syndrome". Now what are the odds of that? You would have a better chance of winning the lottery twice.
im socially awkward, hate crowds, the mall is just bad, i hate touch: even from my friends & fam, i cant even comfort someone physically... i only want my boyf touching me & only wana touch my boyf .... i love animals tho!! im very creative/artistic, musician to be exact...cannot focus.... does this mean im autistic?? how do u no??

I attended the school (hill top prep) featured in this. changed my life
Having autism myself I relate to this so much. I can't wait to go see this if it goes on Broadway again
I find it interesting they call Christopher a 'socially awkward' boy; he's so much more
I remember seeing this play some time ago! I LOVED the play!

Kid on the right was really handsome
"Do you understand why people shake hands?"Well, does anyone ?..
I saw the play a couple days ago. I'm sure Alex wasn't the actor but the one who did when I saw was great! I wish I saw Alex do it as well.
So happy to see this!

Gomez Addams And I like what the other said about that- how he didn’t want to put the character of Christopher in a box by labeling him as autistic

When will there be a real movie of this?

Being loud, flashy and over stimulating was kind of the point though? So other people can understand it
