Only she could see him, and that lead him being able to save her at the same time. He was dead, but they gave him a chance of telling her that she loves him and the conditions were that she could only see him and probably be able to touch each other. that was sad, i cried lol
It's more of a ghost thingy. Ghost will be wandering on the world 'till their unfinished business is completed (as you said before), only the girl could see him because she was the unfinished business. Once that unfinished business is completed, the ghost we'll finally go to either heaven or hell

I know what it's like seeing the ghost or spirit of your loved one. For a while I kept seeing the faint outline of my cat. However that stopped after I had a dream of him. I was on the computer when I felt something furry touch my feet. I looked under the desk and there he was. My gray and white domestic shorthair with light green eyes staring right back at me with a smile on his face. I just smiled and scratched his favorite spot, his cheek. And he leaned in with his eyes closed, a smile still on his face, and started to purr. I'm now on the edge of crying now.
