Unfortunately the sad reality is that most people go for off campus.. but surprisingly they actually earn a lot more than on campus because they don't pay tax
hey, did you know the wright state university (dayton, ohio). my friend is pursuing masters in Micro-biology there and i want to go for Masters in computer science there, is it worth it to go in that university for masters in CS ?? can i get the placement from there , it's a cheap university that's also a good factor i choose that university. can you please guide me anyhow ?
There is no such thing as placement in USA like it is in India. There are career phase, but again you have to put in your own efforts to connect with the employers and make yourself visible.
It completely depends on the position your are being interviewed for and the employer. If it is for something like working in a cafe, then it should be straightforward like your schedule and past experience. And if it for a technical role then yes there will be technical questions and maybe even a small test.
@@JustDontRead hello. Thank you for your reply. In my case, most part-time openings on-campus are clerical duties that includes Filing, photocopying, shredding, sending faxes, data-entry & other assigned duties. The job description says required skills are MS- Word & MS-Excel. So, will the interview include questions related to word & excel? Do you suggest anything else I need to prepare for, before applying?
Assuming that you are pursuing a Masters program, they would already know that you know all these softwares. Other than that it should be straightforward and probably they wont give you a test or anything. Interview should be basic and easy. All the best 😄
Yes, I am a Masters student starting my course from this Fall 2024. Can I apply for jobs on-campus when I’m in India itself? Or should I wait until I land in USA?
Also, I was exploring the job application tabs in the portal. And I feel like I don’t know the answers for the following. 1) Eligible for work in US?? - Yes/No (Confused because F1 visa is for studies. But work is legal as long as its on-campus) 2) Can you show proof, if hired, that you are eligible to work in USA? Yes/No (This question seems like its a follow up for the previous question). 3) Are you an active student in your University?- Yes/No (My courses starts on Fall 2024. So, i still didn’t land in USA. But I registered for classes. So, not sure if I should call myself an active student)

May I know what type of questions are asked in interviews of on-campus jobs?

Tell me name of more jobs in on campus ?
It’s very subjective. Every campus has different names for jobs but they mostly fall under the 3 categories mentioned in the video.
