Mrpig here 3 time halo wars champion, if u can collected 3-4 crates u can upgrade your base and gets pads on if u delay ur next tank by 13 seconds. Strat is good for defending early hog or brute rush
I've used a version of this for a little over 10 years now, but starts with 3 heavy supply pads, reactor, fortress, reactor, vehicle depot. Push 3 tanks, build a barracks push 3 Spartans and transport to the back of the base. With good resource scouting you can get go the base in 4-430. With hook control and grabbing a reactor you can get canister shell in under 530 and if they dont have something very strong to counter the game is over. Also in 10 years I've seen it used once against me and this is the first video I've ever seen cover it. Good fucking job you've earned a like. Also if this is the Chinese tank rush I'm calling my spartan tank rush Ford tough
I remember back in the 360s days, early game spartan tanks were a popular strat for unsc/anders in 3v3s. Very flexible, great for mid-late game unit build options. You could reliably get veterancy stars on the tanks on fort dean killing the grav lift marines then pump out the spartans to gain veterancy killing neutral bases. Due to the fact that you have 2 other teammates, it made early game rushes less viable if they don't successfully cripple someone's econ. Not so great if the enemy team has the same idea and/or are invading your side of the map for veterancy and base expansion stealing.
I wonder if the scorpion would be viable in modern battlefields, the elevated turret could def be used for better angled attacks like peeking over hills
@@Infiniti-Beau alright Mr RvB season 9 episode 2 That being said, I’m not smart enough to make the calculations but I believe the weight of the scorpion out weighs the pressure of the shot, and if it doesn’t then we just reduce its strength
@@Thelitletrainthtcud I really should of specified better, of course we can’t take the in game version for many many reason. But instead we will be using the idea of the skorpion tank, the ability to peak over hills or low trees would be immense
Yeah, no. There is no benefit to peeking over hills, if you need to do that send an infantryman with a pair of binoculars. If he finds enemy armor then send another with an AT weapon. Any benefit that could be derived from peeking over a hill with your turret comes with a massive trade off in literally any other situation. There is a reason modern tanks elect for low profiles. It makes them harder to hit. The scorpion may as well be a shell magnet for how easy it would be to shoot at and hit with that shape. Even in ideal situations like the one described, you would only be able to shoot over hills of a specific height, and very steep so that the main body of the tank sits on level ground when firing. And even assuming those hyper specific criteria are met, you’ll take one shot, and then need to book it before artillery can home in on your position. Except for the fact that you’re probably surrounded by either walls or an incredibly steep incline hill in order to take advantage of the elevated turret to begin with, so I hope this tank is also advanced enough to take near vertical inclines at speed with an incredibly top-heavy turret waving around throwing everything off balance during the process. Then you have to deal with actually getting away or finding another viable firing position after the last one has been revealed and everybody in the vicinity (several of whom presumably have heavy weaponry) have been alerted to your location. This is, of course, also, ignoring the possibility of having been spotted long ago since this tank is an absolute unit and cannot hide behind anything other than a full sized building. It would be incredibly difficult to sneak this thing into position anywhere near a front line, so you better be really good at predicting where the enemy is going to be and then lay in wait for days possibly hoping that each and every scout somehow misses the fact there is a colossal tank parked in that pit over there. Camouflage is a thing, but it isn’t a silver bullet to avoid all detection. Nor would it be easy to disguise. Something so massive And obvious TLDR; outside some extremely specific and unlikely scenarios, this tank would be utterly useless. And even in such scenarios, there are much better and cheaper ways of accomplishing the same task.
my strat was one where i would act completely unhinged and rush one unit most likely Locusts if i was a covenant leader or hogs if i was UNSC once my army was complete i could destroy the enemies base in seconds
Wait so the trick with this is just max population of tanks if you have a lot of resources right? But what about if you get attacked by air units they can't really be too effective
What I do is that I try to cripple their econ as early as possible with the tanks and get Dual Launchers Wolverines as fast as I can Then I usually build 2 Wolverines for every 3 Scorpions I have Those melt through anything aerial, but are very clunky to move around
I m old school in this game back in the day on a 2 v2 n 3v3 we all build one tank and send it to a base .or 2 people build marine and pass monney to one player and he build 3 tank
I agree a lot of old players watch my videos. I made this with new players in mind since I tend to see a lot of them do this build and I wanted to express ups and downs
I remember being really annoyed when I searched tank rush and the first guide was a player who took 9 min to build one.
lmfao

I would love to see more strats get covered like this one! Good or bad, I'm trying to learn the game and your channel helps
Sounds good! They are definitely on my radar feel free to drop any suggestions! Thanks for watching!
happy to see someone still making OG halo wars content nice work brother

Taken an uneducated guess but probably held back by the kickback of firing.
It might just fly backward 🎉

too slow they'd get knocked out of the fight before they could make use of their turret elevation

idk, you probably shoulda found a game where chineese tanks actually worked out for the guy. this video doesnt really sell us on the strat lol
Yea I get what you mean, its kind of a poopy strat so it was more for giggles than anything. Thanks for watching!
It puts you so far behind it's just not worth it. Stock tanks are pretty bad as it happens cannister shell is essential.

I find it funny this works pretty much the same in modded games too, unless your playing Desperate Desolation where everything takes forever to get.
Modded?
@@first001 yes dear viewer, believe it or not but there is mods for this game, and some still get updates monthly.

Idea: Soviet Infantry strat (literally jsut spam marines or grunts until the enemy is overwhelmed)
Soviet strategy :
Step 1: retreat until winter
Step 2: when they cold attack
