Same! Honestly so chuffed to see this included. The need to put my wheelchair in the boot really restricts choice of cars & I'm keen to switch to an electric. Ideally prefer not to go for bulky/pricey SUV. I end up just looking at car boots 😂 The measurements & demo with wheelchair - hugely helpful. That is as much as the folding chairs fold - quite awkward. Mine is a rigid frame so only back folds onto seat - but this one upright gave me a good idea. Not seen a mention/incl on any other "boot reviews". So 👏👍
I bought a skinny spare wheel for my Tekna 40kw and had a raised floor custom made and covered with matching felt-type lining. The board simply rests on the wheel. On either side of the floor is a lifting panel using piano hinges. These allow easy access to the spaces around the spare wheel for cables, wheel jack and other items. These flaps rest on cut, salvaged, strong foam black polystyrene from a scrap car. The board is made from a strong, composite material. The Tekna has a Bose base box which intrudes into the LEAF boot but holds my spare wheel nicely. Other models would need something else, possibly more polystyrene.
The fact you can't get a flat surface when seats are folded with the 30cm height in the centre has put me off buying a 2018 LEAF. I wonder if this will improve with later models
It's amazing how much we get in our small BMW i3' 3 fold up bikes and small hand luggage for 3 adults and small bits in the little Frounk 🤣. The Leaf looks huge. But no FROUNK 😱
This is the 40kWh Leaf - all models of the 40kWh Leaf are the same. Previous 24kWh and 30kWh models are probably the same too, as I don't think much changed in the boot, except the first generation 24kWh models (up to 2013) which had the charger in the boot and therefore much less space.
Thank you for demo'ing with a wheelchair! Exactly what I needed to know!
Glad it helped

I need this video for every car ! 😀
i'm a minor, just old enough for youtube tbh. after months of convincing, my parents have finally bought a 40kwh Nissan Leaf!!
Well done for convincing them 👌
That is what my son is doing to me.

Needed this exact info! TY!
Thank you for this video!
excellent video very helpful
Thanks this was useful. It would be useful for me to see a dog jumping in and sitting and lying down to see how practical it is for dogs.
Glad it helped

Nice selection of items! Would be great to see if a dog(box) and normal bike (with removed front wheel) fits.
I'd like to know the max height between the boot floor and the closed parcel shelf please.
If its the same as the 24/30kWh Leaf, which I'm pretty sure the rear hasn't changed, its approx 56cm.
Thanks loads - so useful re wheelchair & sizing. What model leaf is this? Does it make a difference to size?

Thanks but it seems like you are mixing your cm and inches? 67 cm vs 67 in.
Thx, what is the width of the widest part of the trunk (closest to the bumper)?
I don't have the car now to measure.
