I disagree with the commentators in two areas. First, Ali never intended to knock out Terrel. His goal was to humiliate Terrel and he thoroughly accomplished that. He did it by not only hitting Terrel whenever he wanted to but also by allowing Terrel to throw punches which he easily avoided. Second, what the commentators saw as Ali getting tired was simply apathy. He showed Terrel that he could beat him easily without even working hard.
Ali said after the Frazier 3 that Joe Frazier was the greatest fighter in boxing history next to him.Ali also stated after the 3rd frazier fight that it was the closes to hell that he has ever been.Ken norton also broke Ali jaw in there first fight, seperated the bone by a quater of an inch, the doctor could not believe he could have gone on another 10 rounds to finish the fight.I think Frazier @ norton were alis toughes apponents.
It seems to me, after MANY viewings, that Ali just wanted to punch Terrell for 15 rounds...He really resented the Clay/ Ali problem in his life and that's what I think this fight is all about ...Perhaps.
What stamina? - the only energy ' the Octopus " has expended has been absorbing Ali's Blows. Otherwise he just creeps around the ring like the ' Munster's Maid " or something... What an ungraceful delayed Boxer this guy is... He was lucky to get a fight with Ali!!!!!
Wow ! 12th round and Ali looking still fresh and landing combos . All the fighters today fucking take rounds off from 8 to 11 just to get there gas back lol
Tyrell had a odd style.im not sure if he fought frazier or chuvalo in thier time i ceeb to look at their records but i have no doubt theyd snap him.unless he just used this style with ali.it was heavy footed and dull. Alis style and the way he works it is god given.youd love to think with enough training you could do it yourself.but 99.9 percent chance you try that in the ring youd be layed out in no time.his reflexes were unreal.
I once saw Joe Dimaggio in a cafe. I tried to get his attention by banging on my table and making yelping noises. He didnt look up. He was so focussed on dunking his donuts. He dunks like he pitches.
I've just come from watching Amir Khan fight, I don't know if you know him, he's an English boxer. Everyone was talking about him for a long time, the best thing since Ali (yeah...), he come out swinging, and most of them went down in the first round. He got destroyed eventually and everyone forgot about him. Anyway, my point, he was made out to be the greatest boxer of our time for a long time, and if you watch his fights, he can barely throw a punch after round 3, it's pathetic!
jEEZ, If you think that that is Ali,s best, then you should watch him against a bigger, stronger, Cleveland "big cat" Williams, this was a boxing masterclass, par "excellence", never to be repeated.
I hate to say it but if Ali could have punched back in those days, Terrell would have been gone much earlier...I harken this to many Tommy Hearns fights where he fought far inferior foes and got them out of there with blasting KO blows. This fight was a joke.
lmao the commentator's like "oh look at terrell's stamina!!" that fools been clinching and hanging on to Ali the whole fight, no wonder he's not tired. no stamina here just a cheating bum. Ali's the real one with stamina.
Sam Cooley yes, they constantly comment about Terrells stamina, when he was actually doing little other than winging and missing punches. Much of the time this look like a good sparring session for Ali. This outlined the difference, at the time, between him and everyone else. Terrell was the other world champion for goodness sake! Ali in 1966 and 1967 was at his peak, as the master of footwork, fast hands, unorthodox fighting and incredible defensive reflexes! There as no one even close at this time. After the three year break he became more heavy handed in his punching. He wasn’t as consistently fast. In the ‘70s he displayed incredible courage and grit. His speed and evasiveness was still too much for most but at the top level, he relied more on his ring generalship, savvy and ability to adapt his style to defeat all before him and regain the Title.
We would see much more movement and better fights if we could bring the old 15rds back. If you see two guys with the same abilities against each other (for example Froch and Kessler) you need to have three more rounds. Great fights can only be decided in at least 15 rds
ET does not have the heart nor the stamina to respond to M. Ali's punches and ended up as a punching bag. Or is unseen money involved in this fight. Only the fighters themselves know.

Ali was the only reason why boxing got famous and exciting.
Yes there are words to describe what we are seeing, Howard... Terrell is getting a whuppin' as My Man Ali Liked to put it.
Ali be scaring me when the way he leaves his head open and dares people to hit it ..... damn they rarely ever connected tho
Just enjoying watching Ali work.
It's opponent not appontent and toughest not toughes.
@@dabariummalak1194 its been 3 years i hope you have turned your life around and become a better person by now
Ali was kind of boxer who could take maximum beating but could still win AMAZING!!!!
Are you alive till this time...

Ali était particulièrement agressif ce soir là et je le comprend. go champ!
Isn't it peculiar that Dr.s are so often called to Ali's opponents corner????? Not very often a commission Dr. comes to Ali's corner though.
Wow ! 12th round and Ali looking still fresh and landing combos . All the fighters today fucking take rounds off from 8 to 11 just to get there gas back lol
Ali has a skill of which Terrel has no clue; remove his head from the impact zone.
0:50 Ali knew he was getting measured and was like come get me sucka and taunting him which is careless but dam he is fast he dodged Ernie.
He was the brother of Tammy Terrell, who sang with Marvin Gaye, Ernie was.
Ernie Terrell was a disgrace, he always kept his gloves up and hit Ali with dirty punches. He didn't diverse to be in the ring with Ali.
DiMaggio didn't pitch. He played center field.
Alis los más grandes del boxeo
الله اكبر
Dimaggio calling Ali ‘Clay.,’ 😡😡
Such a good point....
Unbelievable! .... considering the circumstances.....
Chuvalo did the same.
Ali spending almost the whole fight punching Terrell's gloves and therefore his face
Non
measured heavy punches and jabs and they still all missing ali, incredible reflexes
Also Terrell had no style, he couldn't even land a good right.
Tyrell had a odd style.im not sure if he fought frazier or chuvalo in thier time i ceeb to look at their records but i have no doubt theyd snap him.unless he just used this style with ali.it was heavy footed and dull. He was punching him in the back during the clinch. Are you allowed to do that? It seems wrong and desperate.
"THE GREATEST"
For a guy who was supposed to run out of stamina, Terrel has done a remarkable job of standing up. HAHAHA!! LOL!!!
I once saw Joe Dimaggio in a cafe. I tried to get his attention by banging on my table and making yelping noises. He didnt look up. He was so focussed on dunking his donuts. He dunks like he pitches.
Howard ripping on that crowd member at the end's great!
terrel with his low blows and shots to the back of the head
M00mo de00?

No1 was saying he was the next greatest back then
I like Ali,s best fight ever with Zora folley I think in my mind , Ali The Greatest ?
jEEZ, If you think that that is Ali,s best, then you should watch him against a bigger, stronger, Cleveland "big cat" Williams, this was a boxing masterclass, par "excellence", never to be repeated.
That guy looked more like a sparing partner. No offense.
He does float like a butterfly fly sting like a bee.Mohamad Ali

At :54 Terrell measures Ali for the right.
Ali repeatedly called Chuvalo his toughest opponent. If anyone could've done it, it was Chuvalo.
Both fighters have same physical.

Alileriodebox❤
Seems to lack fresh air in Terrell's part of the ring
You don't appreciate the grace, and boxing skills!
totally agree with you

Ali was right to do what he did, if you need proof just look at the way Americans still treat Muslims today.
Howard Cosell is a hit commentator, should've got sacked the flop
Whos that?
ET does not have the heart nor the stamina to respond to M. Ali's punches and ended up as a punching bag. Or is unseen money involved in this fight. Only the fighters themselves know.
Studio version John Lennon how do you sleep
i feel bad for Terrell watching this fight lol
Mein Gott ihr hattet das alles in Video packen können.

Terrell was covering up so effectively that even Ali had to recognize finally that you've got to throw a body punch every now and then.
Chuvalo round 14: After all there's two rounds of ass whipping left~
Chuvalo thinks he could beat Ali?
That's a good one.
...Tyson took steroids...
Hey so is mine
but he didnt......neither time......
Yeah which was all he could do. Dirty boxer.
Clay got his ass kicked. RIGGED!
