This is just like my Troy Bilt Horse same 19HP Kohler. And yes that button is for operating blade in reverse and it's a pain in the ass. These with the 46 inch deck cut really good and I really like mine for FREE FREE FREE.
I have a 2020 T100.....very similar....just smaller.....4 years and no problems...just regular maintenance....I couldn't be happier with it....and I got it just before the price of new gas equipment skyrocketed.
Got another craftsman 22 self propelled running today. “Dipstick” tube needs a new seal. Then it will be ready for some “nut” ! ✌🏻🏴☠️🦭🇺🇦🤙

I mean look at a lt1000 42" deck, look how deep the deck is from top to bottom, compaired to that 46 T series.
I have the T1400 model with 42” deck I think. Also I dunno how to swim either lol. My kids would have to save my ass from drowning lol

Overthinking it my friend, just take the bulbs/connectors out of the light housing, then you can separate the hood.
Uh yeah but why would I want to do all that?
It’s just two bulb sockets to unscrew and maybe a zip tie to cut? Takes about 10 seconds total.
Your call, just a suggestion since you were wondering where the light connector was to separate the hood.
