I got the warrior X3 and it’s been an excellent flashlight, and considering that I own multiple olights, I’ll say this much about them. Their batteries are fantastic. I have had my olights for several years and my batteries still work just as good as they did when I bought them new, So them being proprietary batteries I would say that people should not really worry about it because they do last for a very long time, From my personal experience with olight I would rank them up there with the best 👍👍 I hope this is helpful for anybody on the fence of getting an olight
Me and the mrs together have 5 Olights that run on the 21700, so buying a few spare ones isn't a big deal. We really don't have anything else that would run on that cell even if it wasn't unique for Olight.
I think some people just like to complain.
@@WeldingForJesus definitely, also olight sells their specific batteries on amazon now. Makes it very easy
Now this is the type of stuff I wanna see on memorial day
5:00 …and the neighbors flushed their coke.
The tactical mode seems very useable for defensive and longer term encounters. I’ll probably wait for the pro version to come out to see if it’s a large upgrade but if not I may pick this up.
I’m a police officer and this flashlight is awesome I use it everyday for traffic control from 7 am to 8 pm and have had no issues. The usb charging is a game changer and also may I add bro you did an awesome instruction manual n how to use it great job and I always look forward for your reviews
Does the holster it comes with fit the duty belt? I can’t find that info anywhere.
@@officialjasonpalmer yes sir it does and works pretty good
Thanks. That’s what the only question remaining for my purchase decision.
I'll buy one if and when a Tactical Ring is available for it.
Nice powerful tac light 😎👍
4:00 ..and the dog never saw again.
Haha! I said something similar on another channel and was attacked like I was some kind of PETA animal rights wacko.
If they removed the stupid glowing bezel, that's probably a purchase for me although I still like my X3. The new additions regarding USB-C (I'm not into strobe mode but the mode change seems fairly well designed, not really in the way) and the fact that they made the cooling fins more streamlined is good, less prone to catch on stuff. A bit more throw range according to them and maybe more spill with the slightly wider lens and thinner bezel. That said it seems that they cut corners again regarding the striking bezel and didn't even bother including zirconium beads this time around. The rubber ring is probably cheaper to manufacture than the machined aluminium "tAcTiCaL" knuckle ring too. Nonetheless I like this new sheath, they probably got inspired by Nitecore or something. Good thing they made the bezel removable too, because on the X3 it seemed like it was press fit.
I have the X3. I use it on duty every shift. Love it!
Package 4 you
What holster do you use for it?
Nice light especially the Throw. Look to the Fenix TK20R UE. Same system with Usb c ( copy) the UI i think is much better on the fenix light . And built like a tank. THanks for the video.
Package 4 you
I really want usb c charging in the warrior 3. Not the 3s, the 3. I got one right before they stopped making them and switched to the smooth bezel and proximity sensor. If they could bring back the 3 with a usb c dual charging option I think that would be the perfect light.
Can you put a Thyrm switchback on it?
It would be nice to see Milwaukee make a gen 2 version of the M12 metal flashlight 2355-21 and upgrade it to 2000 Lumens from 800!! Especially now that they have the CP batteries in a 3.0 and a 2.5 High Output version!
I agree
Love the beam shots. I would love to see this light compared to the Nitecore MH25 pro. The Nitecore's specs are more impressive on paper, but that light may be more of a dedicated thrower and not necessarily a tactical range light. I would love to hear people's thoughts on this.
IMO I would not buy a light with a rubber-covered charge port - it will fail sooner or later.
Metal-covered charge port on light or usb-c port on battery is the way to go. Fenix and Olight have seen the light on this one :)
@TarmoLuumann good point.
I was interested in the MH25 Pro as well. Ended up going with the warrior x4 because the turbo on the MH25 only lasts like 35 seconds. Which was a deal breaker for me.
Im sticking with WUBEN T1
I do think Tactical should be highest output and turbo.
If you use both charging systems at the same time will it charge faster? Or burn out?
It won't dual charge. USB C will default
7:20 It took me a minute to realize you were in your garage. At first glance I thought you were in your kitchen and was thinking "who keeps a pair of chainsaws on top of thier refrigerator?".
That would have been the most manly thing I have seen in a while... hahahaha
I don't understand why would 21700 battery be proprietary? Type 21700 is standard and can be replaced with any battery of same dimensions right? Or is there really some chip inside?
They modify one end so it can work with the MCC
So that it can be magnetically charged.
Can you use turbo mode for 3 mins, then switch off/on and get another 3 mins of turbo immediately and keep repeating?
I think it has to do with how hot the light is getting.
You can a time or two, but it gets hot and will bring itself down to save the light
Is this good for a police Duty flashlight?
Depends on how much throw you want. Check out the regular olight seeker 4.. I have the seeker 4 PRO and love it but it’s very floody. The regular seeker 4 is a nice in between this warrior and the seeker 4 pro. If I was a cop I’d def check out the seeker 4!
I wanna see this light against the javolt mini from olight.
Same, javelot mini is my favorite from olight
The warriors are the ultimate torch hand down but why cant they just make the UI go from low mode momentarily burst turbo then seamlessly back to low which is how a person that actually uses the torch uses the modes, seems a no brainer to me but hay I just use the torch, what would I know 😂

When the usb c port is exposed its still ipx8 olight said themselves in their video of the light
Yea imma stick with surefire
Why so you can pay more and get less? Which one you talking here? G2x? E2d? 6px? Aviator? E1b? The warrior x 4 outshines them all with higher IP rating..if your gonna spend 200 plus bucks get something worth it like cloud defense.
Love my olights just wish they would make bigger battery
They do in the huge marauder.
3:30 Wrong. It doesn’t give you turbo for 3 minutes. Output begin to step down after 30 seconds.
But it actually starts out higher than advertised and steps down to rated lumens around 30 seconds
@@frostriver4547 As I said. It doesn’t give you 100% turbo output for 3 minutes.
@@garywillis8737 It’s because of the heat once it cools off alil you can run it again on turbo
"Shining deer"? What does this mean?
Night hunting which is illegal. Deer will freeze when at night when a light is shined at them
What the hell is wrong with your viewers? This light is amazing for tactical and long distance throw. Would be a great searchlight and blind an attacker! What more could you ask for?
@@Actual-user Do you own it? The Warrior x4? If not, then you have no ground to stand on.
@@ericguneran olight killed a user when it exploded
@@rshinn8776 Thank you for the info. I looked it up and yeah it happened. I guess you gotta watch out. Who knows why it did that. Did it just get too hot?
I have an Olight R50 Pro Seeker that came with an Olight 3.7v 26650 Lithium ion rechargeable battery. I bought it along with lots of kit for a vehicle project I was putting together which took way longer than expected. When I came to unpack the olight unit with vehicle mounted charging carriage the battery wouldn't hold a charge properly.
Even tho new out of the box, it was out of warranty because I stupidly didn't open it upon arrival and it was on a shelf for over 12 months.
Ok, thats my fault for assuming it would work as new out of the box. So I looked to buy a new replacement OEM Olight 26650 battery, only to find its discontinued !
I've got 3 Olight head torches, all perform well. I would never invest again in any of their more substantial torches!
@@rshinn8776ehhh that happened cause he used the wrong battery. Not exactly olights fault.
I have a Fenix TK20R and I always hated that the power indicator was under the charging collar. I don't know why Olight copied such a bad design.
Package 4 you
What an intelligent human being shining the full power light in the dogs eyes. That's a great showcase of human brainpower right there.
You lost me at "Olight proprietary battery"
It may seem bad,but its not. Maintain your battery, these batteries can easily last 10 years or more.
@@carlose6010 for sure! Olight makes good lights but as a flashlight snob, i like to have spare batteries with me while at work and the ability to use other brands. Olight's prices on their proprietary batteries are overpriced. Good for them for adding USB C charging but when they fix the low temp thermal regulation step downs and move away from their proprietary batteries only then will i buy another one of their lights.
Disclaimer: Just my opinion
@@carlose6010That may or may not be true but the fact that you're limited to only Olight 21700 batteries...well that's a deal breaker for a lot of people.
Apple has entered the chat
All videos talk about throw distance of say 500 meters ... and all only show examples on trees 20 meters away. How enlightening is that?
I assure you that no trees are 20 meters. Lol. It is not easy to film this at a distance.
😎⚒️😎⚒️😎
people not buying olights because of the charger and batteries are idiots. type c isnt an improvement over magnetic charging. heres let me grab my cord and flaslight and plug it in. no. type c isnt better than magnetic charging.
Not having to carry a slower, priority cable just to charge a flashlight is bothersome. There's a reason light is moving towards usb-c.. the sooner the better. I suppose you like apple, thought larger screens for a cell phone is a terrible idea.
@@carlose6010
Your first sentence means the exact opposite of what you intended to convey.
Also, “priority” does not mean proprietary.
Type c is common so now you dont have to carry around a specific cable thats only good to charge the flashlight. Usb c is used to charge pretty much everything nowadays making it more convenient to charge the flashlignt. Dont see how you dont understand this concept butnheres an example. In my house i have a usb c cable at my nightstand, desk, family room, kitchen, and garage. Also have one in my car and in my bag. Also have powerbanks with built in usb c cables on them. So just about anywhere i am i am ready to charge should i need to. No one wants to carry around that stupid tail cap, charging cable with them or buy several of them to stash around in places just for a single device when usb c is basically the standard these days
"Type C isn't an improvement" Literally everyone requested for a Type C port since it's a lot more universal across electronic hardware. Phones use Type C, powerbanks use Type C, faster charging with Type C is possible, literally my headphones, keyboard and mouse I'm using right now use Type C ports. Also it's a good thing that they added a LED indicating the battery life and concealed under the same ring instead of just vibrating. Some people run this light on their rifle and the vibration system is not great for that, no way to know if it's dying or not without holding the light directly and wait.
This flashlight is a straight upgrade from the X3 although not really for the bezel and ring. The bezel is thinner and lens wider for more spill while allegedly improving the throwing distance by tens of meters again, but the striking bezel tips they clearly cut corners with that more and more and that's not great. They used to make agressive bezels and X3 they reduced the tips got reduced in number for the X3 (but added zirconium beads instead). On the X4 the tips look even more barebone and that's sad. The rubberized ring is also cheaper to manufacture than a machined aluminium ring, let's face it.
@@RonJeremy514 nobody needs the same cord for everything they own. i use the omino 4 way charging dock and type c lights from olight are not compatible. if they are going to use type c they certainly should use the magnetic type for everything else they've ever made. having to plug a male cord into a female slot instead of just dropped the light near the charging base and have it connect and charge is not possibly more convenient or charge the lights faster. these flashlight batteries can only charge at 2.4 amps. yes you can run more amps through a type c connector but not into the flashlight. the only olights that have fast charging through usb c are the new seeker 4 pro and the swivel pro max and maybe a couple of the lanterns. fast charging into flashlight batteries isn't a capabilities the batteries themselves have.
No knuckle ring. Why do I need two ways to charge. I don’t. Oh light 🥱
Its called options
It’s actually a dual purpose deal, you can use the magnetic rocker switch if mounting it to a fire arm
