Without this score, Cinema Paradiso would have been a boring flop. I have a special connection with movie music -- my Dad was a projectionist in our local theater, so I got to see lots of movies, free, in the 1940s and 50s. In my teens I worked with him in the projector booth for two years . I got to watch many, many films over and over, and learned so much about the impact of music in a story. For that, I am thankful. I always look forward to your contributions to our spiritual well being. Again, thank you.

It amazes me to see your fingers and that I managed to learn this almost from ear and that my fingers aren't even in all the same places but that I have it. You may or may not remember me from almost ten years ago. I sent you a video of Cavatina and you were concerned that I was playing left handed although it was actually just a case of the video being flipped... Well, Per-Olov, all these years later I am now a pianist, a very, very good pianist, which only came to me about four years ago as a way to process my father's death. Chance would have it that I picked up the guitar the other day and started playing this again, and now I hear this!!.. You first inspired me WAY back in 2007 with your rendition of Nothing Else Matters (I always remember thinking, "wow, that cocky brush on his leg and the guitar whilst playing the instrument, how does he do that" haha); in fact I can probably credit that video as the catalyst for me even wanting to be a musician, which did not begin until 2012 when I started learning the guitar (my first piece being Cavatina) and now I am very capable of writing my own pieces for piano (totally self-taught and do not read music). I never knew about this song before and it's my first time hearing it (via your guitar). Then after that I listened to the violinist Chloe Hanslip and cried, said to myself that I MUST find and watch the Cinema Paradiso movie. Watched it on youtube until the end for about 2 hours more or less. Oh My God, what can I say..... The most beautiful love story I ever seen.
