Some of the time, yes. The rest of the time he says a lot of stuff that is simply outdated, and is based on his personal bias, with no objectivity whatsoever. I don't know why he dislikes Japanese wrestling for example. It's hard to take him seriously when he mocks/dismisses the ability of someone like Asuka, who is widely praised as one of the best and toughest women wrestlers in the world.
Don't forget his profound respect for Baba and Inoki. His problem with modern Japanese wrestling is, ironically, that it's become too Americanized (IE, phony shit).
This guy loved Walter vs Dragunov because it is the opposite of what the Elite do, hard hitting, action is well timed, and the moves are diverse while telling a story.

I love Jim. Bruce and Jim have a little bad blood but not on a Russo level).....and All Friends Wrestling more often than not resembles a poorly booked modern outlaw mud show with twice the cosplay. A lot has changed in the last two decades but at least neither one is as irelavent as Impact or Control Your Narrative. That's gotta count for something.

Sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. Punk wouldn't have said nothing if the so-called evps hadn't thrown the first shot and that's what a lot of us in Chicago always stood by. How is Punk supposed to deal? Just sit down and take the check while his name is cast through the mud?
Face it, there's no way this wasn't going to end spectacularly, and even less shot of it ending in a way that satisfies AEW marks. You'd be saying the same shit if Punk had gone on Helwani or Cornette and defended himself that way.

The issue with modern wrestling imo is that it mostly caters to people that already watch it. It doesn’t do enough work to try and attract people that aren’t fans yet. Instead, it pushes those people away by having matches like these
