Nice video, but am sure you might have gotten a lot of people confused. Dopamine has beta adrenergic effect at Medium dose, and alpha effect at high doses. I wont outrightly call Dopamine a vasopressor. Also Dopamine causes Tachycardia (beta 1 effect) and dobutamine has inotropic but less chronotropic effect (still Beta 1)....your audience needs all these clarification.
yeah no shit, this makes it more confusing.
My left ear really enjoyed this audio.
Mark Brown well tell your left ear you're welcome!
Mine too☺️
You should mention three dose effect of dopamine. Low dose on renal (D1), moderate dose effect on B1, higher dose effect on a1..
Love your podcasts, Jon. Listened to this one in my car, but the visuals are such a huge help. Thanks for all you're pouring into us!
Thank you so much Debi! Im glad its helping. Nursing school is frustrating glad we can help.
Thank you for a simple explanation!! Started ICU yesterday and had a patient on Dobutamine and this helps clarify why...I’m a surgical nurse of 15 years. My Precptor assumes I know more than I do and has not been very forthcoming with knowledge. Love videos like this because of that. Thanks again

Why did you say they both act on Central Nervous System, when the alpha and beta receptors are on blood vessels and heart?

Dobutamine is a vasopressor with a inotropic effect.
This was great
Great review‼️

Davis Drug Guide says that dopamine is also an inotrope and acts on beta 1 receptors

Are you publicly admitting that you administered medication to a sick patient without understanding the consequences of your action? Being 'new' is no excuse during litigation....piece of advise for you and good luck. Hopefully you are not practicing in the US....
Thank you!!
