newsflash, butterflies around the world are now scared of losing their jobs as butterflies.

The Luddites did lose their jobs to the mechanized looms... they were justified in their fear of technology. They're known today as a slander to mean the person your calling a luddite but they were a historical people that actually existed and they weren't afraid of technology just the specific tech that was threatening to take their jobs lo and behold it did take their jobs so...
Also when we advance technology to displace jobs, we create new jobs. Like the job of building and maintaining the new technology... the people who loose their jobs seldom take up the new jobs because it takes a different expertise then the one they spent a lifetime developing... the robot revolution is real, and at some point more jobs will be taken than can be sustainable for a job driven economy. If there's fewer job openings than unemployed able bodied workers (the current state of the U.S. [if they filled every single job opening, there would still be unemployed people wanting jobs... it's like musical chairs there's not enough chairs for everyone someone's going to lose. That's mathematical fact.]) If we keep heading in that direction, it's going to hit a critical mass of jobs sooner than later because the most of cashiers that don't exist anymore because of self-checkout, didn't get jobs as maintenance engineers for U-Scan... that's not the type of work a former clerk usually picks up on. How many truckers will become self-driving-truck technicians?
So you joke, but the robots are coming for your job too. I don't care what your job is, they're coming for it. Ah but creativity, you say. They already have robots that are making paintings and songs you wouldn't think were made by robots. Trust me it's a matter of time, they're coming for every job. Police, Mental Health Counselors, Vrain Surgeons, Programmers... Advanced Robotics are already in development to replace these jobs these are the jobs people would think no one can replace with a robot, yet they're doing it, with surprisingly promising results. Robots are already doing surgery, just not in the brain, robots are already recognizing situations and citing officer code of conduct, department regulations, and laws applicable to the situation when fed body-cam feed. Conversation is still not great but have you called Samsung's Customer Support AI lately? It's getting quite impressive.
So it's just a matter of time. They'll get your job too.... meanwhile, the economy is designed for us to work to get money so that we spend it. We can't spend it if we don't have it. We can't have it if our method to get it is broken. The companies can't get money from us if we can't pend any. The rich can't get richer if the companies can't get money. (Hint to those on the top... you might want to restructure the working methods of economy before you invest too heavily in robotics. Just a thout, just a playful thought.)
Anyways this robot revolution is real and it's likely coming sooner than we think... so you joke but... maybe those butterflies have a point.

I imagine many of the things these guys learn and develop can be utilized in the prosthetics industry for helping out folks who cant walk etc etc....Maybe electronic eye implants for the blind in the future.

It's great what humans can do , but will never be at the same level of natural animals, it took them millions of years

They are smarter than us and we couldn't even begin on how to create a machine that hasn't been made before in a way that mimics an animal.
If video games can mimic animals today then its only a matter of before it leaves the digital world. Even subtle behavior and intelligence of animals has been recreated. All we need is a body for our new animals.

If those robotic creatures can do "clean up" procedures, especially the swimming ones that filter feed and maybe camera record life forms spaces. Also robotic insects that maybe provide "Tree tickling services, however there is potential for robotic creature themes that help us and the planet feel more safe and rescue friendly. Other than that, yes it just seem more fun for playful usage only?

Сколько много новых роботов создано. Я таких ещё не видел. Тут и бабочки, которых не отличишь от настоящих, их выдают только большие размеры, а так бабочка как бабочка, только робот. Тоже самое касается и стрекозы, с первого взгляда кажется, что это обычная стрекоза, но по лучше её разглядев, сразу понимаешь, что это тоже робот, в виде стрекозы. Муравьи мне тоже очень понравились, как настоящие, ещё волокли за собой какую-то сетчатую структуру, синего цвета. Потом ещё показывали какого то летающего робота, но я не понял, на кого он похож. With most of these, I don't really know what the purpose of any of these except for the ants and spot mini. The only real purpose that I see for them is to spy on an enemy but other than that (especially with the cheetah one) I dont see how these can have any real purpose.
a robot that is like an animal that can fly if in the future it is made with a large size, and there is a place to sit, then it can be mass produced at an affordable price, so it can be used for transportation in the city, so it can be like a hang gliding, but not dependent on the wind which blows hard.
I'm not interested in living in a world made up of robots instead of nature. I noticed there is no mention of the bird models I've seen flying around. They look exactly like the real thing but do not fly the same way, which is how you can spot them.
Maybe robots can work for us so we can go outside to play more. Even carry stuff on trips for us. And actually if a combo smart drone like air combo car take us anywhere on land or air

Ai also seems to have a problem where it is either designed to favor false positives or false negatives, people don’t die when Spotify recommends a bad song. Tesla on other hand, different.
Now to get truly self driving and smart adaptable ai robots, we need to figure out how to teach an ai to switch between these two modes or use a superior 3rd some how on a whim kinda like our brain does. From what I read it will be a hard problem to crack that they aren’t quite sure yet what to do with.
