Um.....throwing Vader out of the space station may not kill him. Even before the suit, he was shown to easily handle intense falling heights. In his protected suit, he could easily use the metallic legs to help protect the rest of his body from the fall, while using the force to slow him down. Her chopping off 'metal' arms isn't going to hurt him. I can see him surviving that.
Pente Patrol Star Wars Honestly man. Don't take this the wrong way, but the Kenobi series isn't canon. It was made with Kathleen Kennedy's political agenda and desires in mind. It gave us a weak, not even intimidating villian of a main character that we can't even relate to and it also downgraded two great characters that we once loved. Kathleen has no desire to support boys and their transition into men and she didn't have any interest or respect for Star Wars in general.
@@hemlarclaevus4231 hey bro I hate the sequels and Star Wars resistance but Kenobi was ok and Kathleen was temperd by ewan mcgregor I think that even though I refuse to let the sequels be cannon in my mind I can let Kenobi as it is not as bad and while it retcons a LOT it is no cannonbreaker like rise of Skywalker or last Jedi
Love it. Obi-Wan is gonna be so disappointed. All that wasted time looking after Luke and keeping him away from the Empire only for him to join them regardless.
I'm convinced this is the best timeline. Luke has great success in his initial dream of serving the empire, palpatine is dead, Vader can no longer terrorize the galaxy and I'm convinced that especially with Luke's influence seeing that luke is thrawn's right hand, Thrawn would be an at least semi-compassionate ruler as he would likely know that being a dick to the galaxy would just cause uprising.
You might say he brought balance to the Force. Speaking of which, I wonder if either Thrawn or Luke would become curious and investigate the Force themselves. Luke due to his own natural abilities, but Thrawn due to the understanding that such power could prove useful in peacekeeping and future conflicts. Probably a Grey Order, that is a lot less religious and far more utilitarian.
Here's the thing: even without Luke being there thrawn is incredibly practical and pragmatic despite how rebels showed him. He goes out of his way a bunch to solve things without blowing them up when given the option, even to detriment to himself. So he'll be fine either way
@@TarsonTalon Honestly I could see luke making something akin to the Imperial Knights in Legands. They where abid Light Adepts with the Force who served as Peach Keepers for the Reminates of the Empire that had sided with the New Republic in an alliance.
@@wholesome_masochist4113 let's not forget Rebels Thrawn and Legends Thrawn were in two completely different strategic positions. Legends Thrawn was fighting from the rebels' previous position with limited resources and a sark understanding that he can't comfortably take a major loss. Rebel's Thrawn was fighting from the strong position with the ability to call on almost any resources he needed and had his focus split between taking out the Phoenix rebels and his starfighter pet project. And while it's not always the case there are times when genius have endless resources they tend to ironically enough hyperfocus on a single strategy.
Love that Luke doesn’t become a Acolyte and remains a part of the Empire as a mastermind. It’s often forgotten that the Skywalker’s are brilliant and cunning. Really love how the Empire is in a decent or better place with no Sith or Jedi to threaten it. One of the best timelines for the Empire. The Empire could’ve lasted longer with Palpatine and Tarkin and their followers.
If it wasn’t for Palpatine being the evil man he was I’m sure the Empire could’ve legitimately been the best thing for the galaxy. Problem is Palpatine wanted yes men for everything which led to some ridiculous corruption in the Empire Everyone wanted Palpatine’s favor. If the emperor (insert person here) actually cared about the Galaxy then the higher ups would have to care too. Leading to better standards of living for most of not all of the galaxy
@@andreyradchenko8200 Wizards only think of wizard solutions to problems. Someone unfriendly? Socializing is too much work, just charm person! Need a loyal army when the people won't fight for you? Don't bother inspiring loyalty, just use necromancy! Rebels? Escalating levels of fireballs until they stop being a problem!
You know, a terrifying combination would be a combo of the skills developed under Thrawn and an unknowing talent with battle meditiation because combo those and in charge of forces creates a monster on a strategic and tactical level despite losing out on the even smaller scales
I really like how this turned out. I've heard several What Ifs for Luke joining the Imperial Academy, and while they go differently, they all follow him joining his father's side and becoming Sith. It's quite refreshing to see Luke follow a path of a pilot and wind up under the cunning guidance of Thrawn. As well, your story had the prophecy come true in several different forms. Darth Vader (still Anakin Skywalker) killed Palpatine, leaving one crippling blow to the Dark side, then Leia, a skywalker, killed Vader, bringing an end to the Sith, and finally, Luke Skywalker killed Leia, leaving Obi Wan and Yoda to pass away of old age and end the Jedi, leaving the force entirely neutral and balanced in Luke who was affiliated with neither religion, his only concern being with serving his new Emperor in Thrawn.
The best outcome imo Thrawn wouldn't be as sadistic as Palpatine and would find other ways of solving things, not just blow them up and enslaving them. And certainly the Galaxy wouldn't be left with that chaotic and corrupt Republic
@@Kailerification Ahsoka isn't a Jedi, at least not anymore, and Maul left behind his title of Darth, they may both have atonement with the Force, but Ahsoka is much more balanced than the average Jedi, and while Maul uses the dark side, I think by now he's closer to the night sisters; not quite, but closer there than to a sith.
What if Anakin had visions of order 66 instead of padme dying of childbirth? What if Anakin went undercover instead of Obi-Wan? What if tup was taken to the jedi temple instead of getting the atomic brain scan? What if shmi skywalker had a child with Clegg lars?
What if the Jedi temple wasn’t built on top of the Sith temple? Maybe they would have sensed the dark side in Palpatine quicker, or they wouldn’t have been so arrogant, because I think it’s the darkness inside of the temple that clouded their vision
it wasn't a Sith Temple, it was a Dark Side Nexus, which mos Sith Temples were, but that particular spot was not, it had been the seat of the order for ages, it was first built when the order was still young, and the force wasn't quite well understood, it was built well before use of the darkside became taboo, so to the jedi that built it it was just a force nexus.
I totally agree, and have always thought that the dark side esscence had corrupted the jedi, over generations, slowly enough that they didn't notice it, while at the same time, making subtle nudges to their doctrine and code. The most glaring change, being the way the Jedi view the Sith and dark side in general. The quick and easy path indeed? How many generations of Sith from Bane onward, were there secretly and methodically putting the pieces in place, and positioning their successors one step closer to the end game? How long was the game Plagues and Palps played, to get that check mate move, Darth Jar Jar set up in ep 3? I mean, if that was the quick and easy path, then I'd hate to see what they'd consider the hard road, right?
@@RichyArg Are you sure about that? I have always understood it to be, that under the temple, there was a Sith temple ruin, that had a darkside energy, clouding the Jedi in the temple above, for generations. Other than the bitchslap aspect of it, it was also "a" reason palps put his crib there, so he could commune with the darkside energies there. Wasn't there even some superweapon underneath it all? There's so damn many books and stories, in 2 timelines, I can get stuff jumbled up, being an old af codger now, but I feel pretty strongly that you're mistaken. I mean no insult or disrespect, we should have a discussion about it. I'm more than willing to get new insight, and be shown I'm wrong. I'm really intrigued by your statement, and want to hear more.
Palpatine was an extremely powerful force user who rarely actually used his powers so he was probably just masking his energy or finding a way to make it blend in with all the Jedi on the planet. They know a sith lord exists somewhere so he wouldn’t need to worry off world.
How would Vader not have realized Luke's identity almost immediately? He would've learned his name was Skywalker right off the bat and immediately put 2 and 2 together.
I imagine it would go something like this, Vader: (force chokes some underling for incompetence) Vader: "Now, tell the captain to lead his men forward, or suffer the consequences!" Random Stormtrooper: "You just killed the captain, sir." Vader: "Oh,"(turns to Luke)"You go tell whoever's in charge now that he should lead his men up to that hill." Luke: "That would be me, sir." Vader: "Okay then. What's your name again?" Luke: "Luke Skywalker sir." (Vader's metallic jaw drops to the floor)
I get the impression that the name Skywalker isn't all that rare or special on Tatooine. Kinda like the bastard surnames in Game of Thrones. I mean, Anakin's mother was a slave who was born into slavery. Vader only learn who Luke was after connecting him to Owen and Beru.
I mean yeah you think about how many trillions of people are in the galaxy and how many billions are in the empire there's only so many last names at some point additionally force sensitives do join the empire it's even fairly common without the Jedi order running midichlorian checks most people don't ever even realize it but like the red guard are lesser force sensitives like there'd always be the chance if luke rose high enough in the ranks Vader may suspect something but it could go either way I just mean to say that it's possible it could just be a coincidence
Now I've always been an imp loyalist but Luke's rise through the empire was something I didn't know I needed thanks (And just to be clear I love what the empire stood for not what it is)
I really love this story. I was very invested with Luke’s side of the story because of how complex and interesting it was. A lot of Leia’s side was, okay heard it before. But there was plenty of interesting things that did happen with Leia. And the ending was great, perfect cherry on top.
What if Vader Actually trained the Inquisitors. Vader as we know, thought the Inquisitors were useless. So Vader would Actually train them properly, while balancing his duties. The Grand Inquisitor would probably kill Reva because she's to much trouble. The Grand Inquisitor would kill Kanan and take Ezra. The other Inquisitor would kill Cal Kestus and the others. Palpatine would be afraid of their powers and would order Vader to kill them. This won't be easy. The Inquisitors would fight back and possibly injured Vader. It would be cool to see them be a threat.
Talk about a twist ending, and I LOVE IT! Luke joining the Imperial Academy would have given him a better life as a pilot and vice-admiral in the Imperial Navy. And who knew Luke is good at his job and felt like Luke being a vice admiral would suit him best, and being similar to Thrawn would make him his equal. Not until Darth Vader ( Anakin Skywalker) sabotaged Luke's work to join his side. At least Vader is impressed his son is doing more time focusing on his projects and at least cares about his interests. But Leia being gunned down by Luke is very dark and almost sad, for Luke does not realize he just murdered his long-lost sister in cold blood, and it could be far worse if Bail Organa learned her adopted daughter was murdered, and Obi-Wan might have gone into a deep depression. On the bright side, Thrawn became the new Emperor of the Galatic Empire; at least a galactic empire under Thrawn would be way better than Sidious since he plans to live forever. I imagine Thrawn forming his new political dynasty, Vurawn-Skywalker Dynasty, with Thrawn as Emperor and Luke as his heir. Too evil Vader wouldn't have Luke as his apprentice and would be pissed at Thrawn for becoming the new Emperor and making Luke his heir if he were forced ghost, and Palpatine would have been way angrier if Thrawn is now taking his place as Emperor. What is your personal opinion, Mr. Pente Patrol? My two great what-if ideas are: What if Anakin was taken in by Satine Kyrze, Duchess of Mandalore, when he was kicked out by the Jedi Order for being too emotional as a young padawan? What role would Satine play for Anakin, and what his relationship be with Bo Katan? What if the Clone Wars instead becomes the Mobile Wars with dark force users piloting mechas? Do you prefer the descendants of the siths driving these machines, or do you want new enemies for the Jedi? Anyway, this is great; what if video, my friend, and may the force be with you!!
Just one problem his friends only joined the academy to defect to the rebels. They were there before Luke was. So idk maybe that should be considered for a next one.
@@enriqueperezarce5485 And Darth Vader is they guy who only died because he let himself. It is also unlikely that Vader would blow up the ship Palpatine was on that's not what the sith do. But back to my point. Vader would not have died so easily and because he didn't know she was his daughter he would have shown no remorse. Darth Vader is the guy who has survived being chopped into pieces, burnt all over, crushed by Sidious and forced to survive without the force and beat an assassin with his B1 and Super Battle droid limbs, tamed space creatures the size of a dozen elephants, killed three jedi at once with one arm without a lightsaber. This is ALL cannon. Should I go on?
Loved all of this, save for one thing. Leia was so strong in the force, but could not sense it from Luke, or hear that Vader called him his son, by extension her brother since she knew him as her father. That part just seemed a little off... would have been better if Leia had escaped, giving Luke something to chase while under Thrawns watchful eye.
I was thinking that would be a great setup for a part 2 of this. Leia gets away, Luke hunts her down, Thrawn reorganizes the Empire. Heck, maybe somehow Maul reveals himself to Luke since he'll still be lurking around, obsessed with revenge. Thrawn would certainly piece together that Vader revealed he was Luke's father and he was one of the few who knew Vader's past. Luke would need to learn the Force from someone if he were to hunt Leia and Ezra, who he knew about, and Ashoka and Cal, who were still out there. A "Rule of Two" between Maul as a criminal underworld kingpin and Luke as an Imperial Grand Admiral would be an awesome dynamic.
I sincerely doubt that even then, that Grievous would join the Republic, given that the Republic took the side of the Huk without inspecting everything going on between the Huk and the Kaleesh.
@@RyunosukeHachi In legends absolutely not maybe he would the neutral systems however he already hated the Jedi and republic in legends. What duku and Sidus did was literally the final push. In canon, though it's ironically enough far more people seeing the jedi as weak generals and having a reason to join at the very least to show them up. That's at the very least if that's the change point.
More likely he'd join the Rebellion than the Republic, if he lived that long. If he turned on Douku, it would probably be a personal vengeance, and try to kill him. If that was unsuccessful, he'd probably go rogue, and wage a one-man war of revenge. Grievious strikes me as amoral, so the Separatists would have to screw him over on the same scale the Republic did for him to change sides. Douku's manipulation is Douku manipulating Grievious, not the Separatists manipulating him.
In the original story, Luke was faced with what many young men in our history were faced with. That joining the army (whatever army was offered) was the only way to get away from the poverty and drudgery of a life in their home towns. In return for service, Luke would have gotten training, an education, room and board and some financial support, gotten away from a planet he hated and gotten a chance to travel and learn to fly. To make some sort of life and future for himself. Plus he would be able to send money back to his family. To his way of thinking, it was a perfect solution. It is an old story, one that has been going on in human history for as long as there has been history. Owen apparently did not have anything much against the Empire, as one would expect from poor subsistence farmers who live far from any city or from any of the depredations of the Empire. He, in turn, did not raise Luke to hate the Empire. To them, like to many people who are just trying to live and get along, who is doing the ruling makes very little difference. What difference did it make if the Republic or the Empire ruled? It was all the same to their lives. To farmers like Owen and Luke, the Empire was very far away, and had very little to do with their lives. They had never suffered from any actions of the Empire. So there was no animosity in Luke toward the Empire-----until the Empire gave him a reason. Actually I never really did understand the bloodlust that the Empire showed. Why did the Stormtroopers leave a trail of death and destruction in their wake in searching for the droids with the stolen plans? What difference would it make if a few farmers and Jawas knew the Empire was looking for a couple of droids? No one could have known why, and the only thing they did was draw attention to their actions. When the Stormtroopers searched the town, they were not slaughtering everyone in sight. So why the massacre of the Jawas and the murder of Owen and Beru? Just for fun? for the hell of it? Just because they're the bad guys? What makes the idea of Luke joining the Empire's army so interesting is how Obi wan would have reacted and what the Empire would have done if they discovered Luke's power in the Force. Because the Empire was going out of their way to eliminate---or pervert---Force users. If they even did discover it. Luke himself did not know, and with no one to teach him, he might only have remained a talented pilot. It seems unlikely that he would ever have come to the attention of Darth Vader or the Emperor. Would Luke, after seeing some of the depredations of the Empires' forces have eventually joined the Rebellion anyway? Would he and Obi-wan ever have met at all? It makes for interesting speculation.
This is one of the best "what If's" ever. Not an ideal solution, but Thron as emporer would not allow his own ego to get in the way of being a most efficient ruler.
Love your story. But I do have one gripe. Dagobah did not radiate in the lightside of the force. It radiated with the DARK side of the force. That is why Yoda went there to cloak himself from the Empire and its agents. It radiated so strongly with the dark side of the force that (I believe it was a dark side nexus.) That is why Luke in the original trilogy had an easier rime of resisting the Dark side after his training with Master Yoda because he was already used to focusing on the light.
What if Grevious's ship accidentally exploded due to a droid malfunction and took Dooku, Palpatine, and Grevious out before Anakin and Obi-Wan could aboard the ship?
There would be a grandiose carom in the galactic political arena. The struggle for the vacuum of power and most likely the aggravation of the crisis, since the situation is completely out of control now. It doesn't matter who wins - the galaxy will be extremely unstable and possibly even worse than it was before the war. Moreover, the galaxy would not have known about the threat of the Yuuzhan Vong. Given how fucked up they were, it's quite possible that this is the end. Palpatine was a bastard, but it was vital to transform the Republic into an Empire.
Leia is a Skywalker! if she was fully trained she would be more powerful then the emperor. She would be as close to Anakin reaching full potential as possible. You could argue it would take her longer then this to reach that power level, but her fully trained should crazy level of power.
@@mike-mz6yz not to mention that it's always been implied that Leia has the higher level of force potential and power between Luke and Leia. If Leia trained in the force, she'd be crazy powerful. And in star wars legends, she was crazy powerful after training
What If... 1) The Incom design team had actually turned over the X-Wing designs to the Empire instead of defecting to the Rebels? 2) Anakin had killed Palpatine instead of cutting off Mace Windu's arms? 3) The Separatists had managed to get the Death Star plans and build it?
The Death Star was designed by the seperatists (primarily the Techno Union and Geonosians) in the first place. And they did start building it during the war, thats why the frame was nearly complete by the end of Ep3.
As someone who saw the movie back in 1977... Luke made it pretty clear that he was going to join the academy to learn and go AWOL to join the rebellion. Even Obi Wan shut him down on the topic while handing him his father's lightsaber.
He sure says so, but academies were shown in media as potent indoctrination centers capable of making friends kill each other for competitions. Strong-headed Luke would be singled out by teachers and students alike, before getting picked up by elite scouts like in the video or dark side acolytes with not enough rest to think of an escape plan.
One thing to keep in mind, if Luke would have joined Biggs and the rest of the group as planned they would have had a group sense of loyalty, not only to themselves, but those that supported the group, aka the Empire. Add to it the accolades and promotions received by the group in this story, it would not surprise me at all for them to give up on their original idea to join the Rebellion and stay with the Empire. I think them not going as a group is what made Biggs want to get out of the Empire and back to his friends as soon as he could.
@@RCracer7223 Plus, Luke was doing REALLY well and shooting up in the ranks enough to perhaps make a difference from the inside... and with Vader stalking around at random due to interest in Luke's projects, defecting would probably end up with a rather merciless end before they even got out of weapons range in a ship.
What if Thrawn gifted a Tie Defender to Darth Vader before Thrawn's disappearance? It would be possible since Vader was able to test fly a Tie Defender in Canon and even said he supported Thrawn's project.
This makes me wonder if Vader had ever felt any type of connection to Leia. I mean, she is HIS daughter. But there must have been some reason he wrote it off, possibly her connection to Obi-wan. Hell, maybe he was waiting for her to come into contact with Old Ben again. Vader is very patient as seen with Reva.
I have been thinking about this for a while now. And suddenly, you made a video about it. This was such a great story. I would have liked it if Leia found out that Luke was her brother just before dying but this was still a very solid ending. Good job, brother.
Also I have a couple good “What ifs” What if Anakin Told Obi-Wan about what Palpatine told him about Darth Plagueis during the Mon Calamari Opera? Or What if General Grevious was still Alive or Dueling Obi-Wan When Order 66 was given? And OR What if Leia joined the Imperials to “Try to rework the Empire from within” like an opposite to what happened here?
I can imagine the first one Anakin: "Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise?" Obi Wan: "Darth Plagu... have you lost your mind Anakin!"
Surprising that the empire allowed the resources to go to replace tie fighters with much, much better tie fighter and a much more expensive tie fighter
well with a better fighter the pilots are going to have higher kill ratios, and more successful missions, a tie defender makes every star craft in the rebellion look like a fricken joke.
TIEs are great fighters. They're faster than Xwings, have incredible firepower with their twin lasers (3 shots per movie frame as opposed to 1 for an Xwing) and compliment the Star Destroyers well. Shields are overrated since at best they fend off one or two shots. Imperial casualties were so high because the Rebels repeatedly used the same few squadrons, meaning their pilots had on average much more experience than the imperials, who were spread out far more.
Wow. Your "what if" story is impressive!. I have read, watched, and heard almost everything Star Wars since the 70's, and your story is one of my favorites! Really congratulations, and thanks for sharing this wonderful tale. Keep up the amazing work!
Amazing theory, I thought it was really interesting how Vader chose not to train him sooner and that Luke never new he had a sister and that leia never new she had a brother. Great work and theory idea : what if Kanan survived
The reason it makes sense is, because he is forbidden to do so. Even showing Luke to Palpatine was a risky move. In order to protect Luke from the Emperor the best course of action is to remain indifferent to him as much as possible, and even control his own feelings, and thoughts. Simply viewing Luke as an Imperial asset, and nothing more.

I enjoyed this story and I thought it was an interesting choice, not training Luke in the force. In the original trilogy there were glimpses of him tinkering and fixing things, so it is easily believable that he would excel in that area, so well done in using that in this story. My only criticism is not about this story, it is about the announcement of the next story "What if Grievous turned Obi-Wan to the dark side. Grievous was not force sensitive and there was almost nothing left of his organic body. Yes in the prequel trilogy he does state that he has been trained in the Jedi arts, but he does not say trained in the force. Grievous was a warrior trained as a warrior from birth, and his race was a warrior race, so learning the combat styles of the Jedi or Sith means nothing in this instance. Even if you adjust the canon to make him force sensitive you still have to account for the fact that there is so little of his organic body left. I fear that video will be the worst story you have done on this channel, I have generally enjoyed most if not all of the stories on this channel so far, and I will watch it, but be ready for me to post comments and not be supportive of it. It is possible that all of these issues will be addressed and I could enjoy it, but I am very skeptical of that at this time. If you wanted to do a what if where Obi-Wan turned to the dark side I think you would be better off having Dooku turn him while he is being held on Geonosis, that sounds like it could actually be a better and more compelling story that Grievous turning him. I am just saying I see a lot of issues with Grievous turning him to the dark side.
@@derekvandewarker4211 Good point, but Grievous doesn't seem persuasive enough to that, and as for trauma, Obi-Wan didn't turn when Duchess Satine was killed in canon, so Grievous would still be a hard sell, but I am posting after the release of "What is Obi-Wan joined Dooku" on this channel, so I think that was a better choice.
I liked this story. It went in logical reasonable directions, and kept the characters reasonable and consistent. Only change I would make is Vader taking the promising Skywalker under his wing sooner. Farmboys making breakthroughs in super-sophisticated projects is a real thing. Chuck Yeager's teenage farmhand and oil-field experience assisted the X-1 project, and my 2nd cousin, trained in motorcycle repair, is employed as an engineering team member for a big-machine manufacturer.
This, single what if scenario, would make a better movie than all of the Disney sequels combined. Even just as an audio book I would still buy it. Absolutely amazing ❤️🔥
What if maul and obi wan made peace ? What if Palpatine only cared bout wiping out the jedi but not turning Anakin ? What if kylo ren admired his grandmother?
What if earth was in the Star Wars universe What if anakin was a foundling of the true mandalorians What if Luke became a foundling What if anakin was revans reincarnation or descendent What if shmi was a former Jedi either exiled or left the order What if barriss and ahsoka fell in love What if the crew of the ebon hawk appeared during the clone wars What if bail was able save the young Jedi from the clones on the landing platform
Honestly I have to say this is by far one of the best videos you've done so far, I like the creativity imagination and the willingness to separate from the original story. it all fits and it all makes perfect sense. The only thing that didn't make very much sense was the point of getting all of the smaller kyber crystals to function, I thought that working with covered crystals was like the equivalent of working with uranium, and the reason that they went with the larger crystals was because they were more stable then the smaller ones. For example of how unstable the smaller ones are may I respectfully remind you of the lightsaber rifle?
Great story but I’ve been wondering the same thing. Luke would have been found when he was in training. Vader would see Luke glowing in the force. There were so little light side force users that Luke would glow in the darkness.
Very solid what if. Really enjoyed the story 🙂 Now a NEW Age of the Empire is born, but under the guidance of Thrawn and Luke. I think it would be less terrorizing with Palpatine.
Wouldn't Yoda and Kenobi have sensed the destruction of the last two sith and come out of hiding to re-establish the Jedi? Empire or Republic, loose Force wielders are not something you want to go without training. Thrawn would probably be well versed enough to know they needed one or the other.
This is my favourite “What if” on Star Wars thank you for posting this I love the idea of Luke and Thrawn being friends and I completely agree with you that Cameron completely nailed this
What if Palpatine had Bail Organa and his wife executed and took Leia and raised and trained her beside Mara Jade to both be Vader's replacement together? If you think about it Palpatine never could find one lone person to replace Vader no matter how hard he tried, so why not two who are as beautiful as they are deadly. I mean he is already working on his own immortality involving clones by this time and if you are going to live forever who cares about rules? What if Vader upon learning that Luke was his son had set it up with Boba Fett to defect from the Empire at Cloud City?
Palpatine in the RPG Star Wars/D&D tabletop game had high enough Force skill Sense Force to know straight away if Leia was force sensitive on seeing her the first time. Leia was a deep imperial spy, any imperial training as one of Imperial spies could not get past the Rebels telepathic species mind probes for Rebel command council. But if you had personality behavior studies to predetermine another behavior. Like Google uses on what we look at to send shopping ads. a.) Old saying, " Keep your friends close and your enemies closer to keep a better eye on them." Anakin Skywalker had enemies from the Clone Wars that still want him dead along with any family he had. Darth Vader had a lot of enemies from families of the imperial officers he killed and the worlds he conquered. Bail Organa publicly head butt the system and at court was known not to be liked by Vader and looked down on. Concept of having a family you are known to be political rivals and disrespect with to raise your children and protected from your murderous political enemies cause it was the last place to look. b.) Ran some role-playing games where the Emperor and Vader knew where Luke was and was allowed to have a .. normal .. childhood. Which hid Vader's son from his court enemies. Metaplot, .. Vader was sixth party feeding imperial locations for the Rebels to raid to discredit his political rivals and do away from his enemies. The enemy of my enemy is one more pawn to play chess with. -- run the outcome as the movie played out. Then we ran games using WEG/WotC system rules/guide line on rpg grade school children and teenagers. In the comics, cartoons, and novels Jedi padawans build their first lightsaber by their 13th birthday. So Palpatine took Mara and the other court girls to spy on Jaba the Hutt and to make a teenage Luke Skywalk to eat sand. c.) EU/Legends era " Vong Wars," the attacked happen when the Skywalker Twins are 12 years old, and Kenobi had to come out of hiding and team up with Vader to fight off the invaders. Then somehow the Twins end off going of world, be tracked down, and trained near the front lines of the conflict.
LOL - yeah this whole thing makes me think back to Ep4 - seemed like Luke didn't really care if he joined the Imperials or the Rebels. He just didn't want to be on Tatooine.
1:10:07 Endor? NO! Well, I suppose no one would miss the carnivorous Ewoks. Could've used Dantooine or Hoth or maybe Yavin 4 as a test target for the demonstration, though. Anyways, this is a great "What If" story!
"Emperor Thrawn" Oh god he sounds terrifying Thrawn as an admiral could decimate entire fleets with just his 1 fleet Just imagine what he could do with the whole empire at his disposal
I remember that, long long ago, in the Legends/Exp.Univ. there was at least one version of an *ending for the whole series* where “Empire” (or whatever the name was for the similar “nemesis-type” group at that moment) does win over “the *good* protagonist force” but there’s no force sensitive people at all left alive anymore, and the “until that point evil Empire regime” just slowly becomes a nicer type of governance.
I grew up and my father passed when I was 3, so I 100% understand the felling of not knowing who you are, what you came from! It’s is a longing that will never be! I always say I just wish I could remember what he sounded like!
I absolutely love this channel the what ifs are so professionally done it's obvious you love this franchise just as much as us and you want to see it thrive and that makes me really happy because of how toxic this fandom has become recently keep up the good work and May the force be with you
That wasn't just Vader who killed that unnamed imperial at 22:22 for his mistakes, it was also remnant of Anakin killing that guy for putting his son in danger! (For one, the Jedi and Sith agree on something violent)
Anyone else been super confused by Imperial officer ranks having Commander above Captain? Even wookiepedia gets it wrong but it's described pretty clearly in the first Disney era Thrawn book.
In starfighter command it goes Captain then commander. In the navy it’s commander then Captain. Most SW authors can’t distinguish that the starfighter command is a separate command structure from the navy. Although starfighter pilots would ultimately answer to the navy captain of the star destroyer
@tmaddgh6962 They know what they're doing. The Command structure is just different in the SWU. It seems aome of yall just can't-or won't-understand that.
Before the video my own expectation with disney lore in mind: Luke's force sensitivity would have been known quite quickly, and the inquisition would have taken him. He either killed, or trained, and if he trained, then Vader would have gained a personal interest in the situation. Which either ends Luke becoming a Sith Lord, and destroying the Emperor with Vader, or dying with Vader when the Emperor realize the betrayal. With extended universe story: Luke would have gained ranks, and limited force power training until he "dies". His death would have been faked by Vader to remove him from the Imperial military, and start training him personally to become his Sith apprentice. The rest is same as the disney lore. Attempt to take over the Empire with Vader as the new Sith master, or die trying. After hearing it. I don't think, that Thrawn could take over the Empire so easily. Some in-fighting would have done. As an alien Thrawn would have been very distrusted by most of the Empire, and Thrawn wouldn't have been so evil, and likely kept the rebellion at bay by simply erasing the reasons of it's cause. I think more plausible situation would have been a Galactic civil war for the end which ends with Thrawn winning, and restoring some of the old Republic's power, because he needs the extra resources from the rebels. Thrawn is a genius, but he would be severely outnumbered at start.
If I’m correct with thron in charge most of the corruption of the empire would be eliminated, most of the fools removed from power and the most needlessly cruel (to a point that it’s counterproductive) would be placed in positions with no chance of effecting anything.

What if talzin and ventress killed grievous and dooku part 27
Obi-wan and Yoda were probably not the last jedi
@@hemlarclaevus4231 hey bro I hate the sequels and Star Wars resistance but Kenobi was ok and Kathleen was temperd by ewan mcgregor

This slaps so hard
After Luke got enraged about his childhood friend being killed, he permanently cemented himself into the Empire.
As the old /tg/ adage goes, wizards have no sense of right and wrong. That includes space wizards.
Anakin was a true mastermind indeed.
If it wasn’t for Palpatine being the evil man he was I’m sure the Empire could’ve legitimately been the best thing for the galaxy. Problem is Palpatine wanted yes men for everything which led to some ridiculous corruption in the Empire
Everyone wanted Palpatine’s favor. If the emperor (insert person here) actually cared about the Galaxy then the higher ups would have to care too. Leading to better standards of living for most of not all of the galaxy

The best outcome imo
Thrawn wouldn't be as sadistic as Palpatine and would find other ways of solving things, not just blow them up and enslaving them. And certainly the Galaxy wouldn't be left with that chaotic and corrupt Republic
Ahsoka and Maul are still about

@@RichyArg I didn’t know that
Thx for the information
I imagine it would go something like this,
Vader: (force chokes some underling for incompetence)
Vader: "Now, tell the captain to lead his men forward, or suffer the consequences!"
Random Stormtrooper: "You just killed the captain, sir."
Vader: "Oh,"(turns to Luke)"You go tell whoever's in charge now that he should lead his men up to that hill."
Luke: "That would be me, sir."
Vader: "Okay then. What's your name again?"
Luke: "Luke Skywalker sir."
(Vader's metallic jaw drops to the floor)
He could prolly sense his michlorian count / strength in the force or something
@@KaiHung-wv3ul Vader wouldnt shoot
Now I've always been an imp loyalist but Luke's rise through the empire was something I didn't know I needed thanks
(And just to be clear I love what the empire stood for not what it is)
I really love this story.
That was very interesting. Luke was so gifted. He made great strides in the Empire. And in the end got that sick prosthetic arm.

A "Rule of Two" between Maul as a criminal underworld kingpin and Luke as an Imperial Grand Admiral would be an awesome dynamic.
and merely being spaced wouldn't kill Vader, nor would being thrown from an orbital station cause him to fall towards the planet.
What if Grievous had

I sincerely doubt that even then, that Grievous would join the Republic, given that the Republic took the side of the Huk without inspecting everything going on between the Huk and the Kaleesh.

@@griffin5653 Everything can change. And even then, he's simply gonna become a black ops commander in the Empire
Jawas tried to sell them a bad Droid
This is one of the best "what If's" ever. Not an ideal solution, but Thron as emporer would not allow his own ego to get in the way of being a most efficient ruler.
Love your story. But I do have one gripe. Dagobah did not radiate in the lightside of the force. It radiated with the DARK side of the force.
That is why Yoda went there to cloak himself from the Empire and its agents. It radiated so strongly with the dark side of the force that (I believe it was a dark side nexus.)
That is why Luke in the original trilogy had an easier rime of resisting the Dark side after his training with Master Yoda because he was already used to focusing on the light.

Yeah, this was apparently a plan his little group had. Go get some training, steal a ship or two and bail. Biggs ends up on Yavin in the end too.
Same with Biggs. There's even a deleted scene where I believe he talks about how he always intended to desert the Empire...

And OR
What if Leia joined the Imperials to “Try to rework the Empire from within” like an opposite to what happened here?
I can imagine the first one

Obi Wan: "Darth Plagu... have you lost your mind Anakin!"
This should be turned into a What If movie 😯

Surprising that the empire allowed the resources to go to replace tie fighters with much, much better tie fighter and a much more expensive tie fighter
well with a better fighter the pilots are going to have higher kill ratios, and more successful missions, a tie defender makes every star craft in the rebellion look like a fricken joke.

TIEs are great fighters. They're faster than Xwings, have incredible firepower with their twin lasers (3 shots per movie frame as opposed to 1 for an Xwing) and compliment the Star Destroyers well.

Imperial casualties were so high because the Rebels repeatedly used the same few squadrons, meaning their pilots had on average much more experience than the imperials, who were spread out far more.

I loved this story, very good storytelling. Vader going out pretty easy was a little disappointing but I can get over it
Wow. Your "what if" story is impressive!. I have read, watched, and heard almost everything Star Wars since the 70's, and your story is one of my favorites! Really congratulations, and thanks for sharing this wonderful tale. Keep up the amazing work!
What if anakin found HK-47
Statement: greetings meatbags (Padme and Qui Gon)
Disney needs this man now.
what if Palpatine actually cared about Anakin?
It happened already here is the what if star wars video :

I was almost convinced you were a bot before i opened the link
@@Jerry-tg7zx oof i am not cuz i have a youtube channel videos
Amazing theory, I thought it was really interesting how Vader chose not to train him sooner and that Luke never new he had a sister and that leia never new she had a brother. Great work and theory idea : what if Kanan survived
The reason it makes sense is, because he is forbidden to do so. Even showing Luke to Palpatine was a risky move. In order to protect Luke from the Emperor the best course of action is to remain indifferent to him as much as possible, and even control his own feelings, and thoughts. Simply viewing Luke as an Imperial asset, and nothing more.
That was TRULY INSPIRED‼️ CONGRATULATIONS to you and Cameron‼️
Seriously, I’m stunned by the Magnificent of the quality.
It is ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE SUPERIOR to the “Sequel Trilogy‼️
BRAVISSIMO‼️

Ps. This was the First time I’ve watched your channel. At the end of your EPIC Story I had no choice but to Subscribe‼️‼️‼️💯💯💯
I mean it doesn’t require a dark side user to turn someone. All it could take is some trauma or really good convincing to be able to flip someone.
@@jeraldhall4603 I 100% agree idt greivous could ever be able to turn obi wan to the dark side but it is possible for him to do it technically.
I'm glad you enjoyed!
What if earth was in the Star Wars universe
What if anakin was a foundling of the true mandalorians
What if Luke became a foundling
What if anakin was revans reincarnation or descendent
What if shmi was a former Jedi either exiled or left the order
What if barriss and ahsoka fell in love
What if the crew of the ebon hawk appeared during the clone wars
What if bail was able save the young Jedi from the clones on the landing platform
These really do just keep getting better and better. Keep up the incredible work man!
Great story but I’ve been wondering the same thing. Luke would have been found when he was in training. Vader would see Luke glowing in the force. There were so little light side force users that Luke would glow in the darkness.
Very solid what if. Really enjoyed the story 🙂
Now a NEW Age of the Empire is born, but under the guidance of Thrawn and Luke.
What if Revan trained Anakin Skywalker?
What if Cassus returned and ruled over mandalore?
1:00:00 Dagobah was a dark side locus, Yoda was using it to hide. It wasn't light side at all.
What if Kanan followed Ezra to Tatooine?
What if Ezra and Sabine fell in Love with eachother?
Like Google uses on what we look at to send shopping ads.
a.) Old saying, " Keep your friends close and your enemies closer to keep a better eye on them."
Anakin Skywalker had enemies from the Clone Wars that still want him dead along with any family he had.
Next should be What If Han Solo stayed as an Imperial. Then combine these two, with Luke and Han as the two top pilots in the Empire.
I do enjoy stories that results in Thrawn being in charge.
I can't help but think that Christoph Waltz would be the best actor for Thrawn. Thrawn and Luke would be such a powerhouse.
My heart was always racing when Luke and Darth Vader was together especially in the beginning felt like I was actually watching a movie
LOL - yeah this whole thing makes me think back to Ep4 - seemed like Luke didn't really care if he joined the Imperials or the Rebels. He just didn't want to be on Tatooine.
Man this was such a good and creative story you are definitely talented I hope you keep makin more stories like this you got a new subscriber
Fantastic work
This goes so in depth for a small change. Honestly couldn't expect any of this
1:10:07 Endor? NO! Well, I suppose no one would miss the carnivorous Ewoks. Could've used Dantooine or Hoth or maybe Yavin 4 as a test target for the demonstration, though. Anyways, this is a great "What If" story!
Here's a little "what if" idea for ya:
What if Maul's plan to kill Anakin and Obi-Wan at the siege of Mandalore succeeded?
Lol leia was just the party pooper here summarized 💀
I cannot see Sir Alec Guinness yelling at anyone...he seemed Much more grounded than that
"Emperor Thrawn"
Oh god he sounds terrifying
Thrawn as an admiral could decimate entire fleets with just his 1 fleet
Just imagine what he could do with the whole empire at his disposal

Loved the more imp Rangs and characters in there
This is a brilliant story as usual. You have inspired me to further depths in a Star Wars TTRPG im running.
This is the highest quality SW What if I've seen, very excited to check out the others
This was pretty great! I didn't expect that ending. That was a really good twist.
I enjoyed that more than 95% of the Star Wars books I’ve read. Good work 😊
So, in the alternate time line, no more Ewoks.
I grew up and my father passed when I was 3, so I 100% understand the felling of not knowing who you are, what you came from! It’s is a longing that will never be! I always say I just wish I could remember what he sounded like!
I absolutely love this channel the what ifs are so professionally done it's obvious you love this franchise just as much as us and you want to see it thrive and that makes me really happy because of how toxic this fandom has become recently keep up the good work and May the force be with you
Thank you so much!
That wasn't just Vader who killed that unnamed imperial at 22:22 for his mistakes, it was also remnant of Anakin killing that guy for putting his son in danger! (For one, the Jedi and Sith agree on something violent)
What if Darth Revan didn't fall to the dark side?
Also, are you hyped for the KOTOR fan series? :D
I really liked the dynamic between Leia n Obi-Wan. It felt really good. Really natural.
Before the video my own expectation with disney lore in mind:
Luke's force sensitivity would have been known quite quickly, and the inquisition would have taken him.
Bruh having Vader run towards you has got to be the worst experience anyone in the empire can have
That, would be quite scary
Ideas what if Han solo never left the empire
What if leia died in last Jedi
What if Kylo Ren killed Luke when he turned to the Darkside
What if Obi Wan killed Darth Vader
