With all the destruction he does during the course of an episode, I don't see how the Hulk can be considered a superhero? On the plus ➕ side, Lou Ferrigno was at the Superheroes Comic Con in Elkhart, Indiana March 4th and 5th, and I got to meet him and get my picture taken with him.
The hulk isnt really a conventional superhero, hes a man cursed with extraordinary power who just so happens to be at the right place at the right time
If anything, the Hulk is an anti-hero. He doesn't apply to any convention a regular superhero he's on the fence between man and monster. He's been both protagonist and antagonist in the comics because it has unpredictable, rage and power. But it's the morality and ethics of the man within the guides him in any incarnation that defines whether he's a hero or a villain. Lou tried his best to convey the humanity within the creature in every episode in the calm moments before he reverts back to David banner.

He’s a superhero, period. Have you ever seen “Superman 3?” Superman is not a superhero-by the same logic-he did a lot of damage
One thing that makes The Hulk a hero is that he protects the humans despite how badly they treat him.

I think It’s like the spiritual aspect of what martial arts teaches sometimes like “no mind” or being able to become one with your mind, body, or spirit In which also corresponds towards the same principles in a way with it sometimes being called either Wuxin or Mushin no shin the inner circle of consciousness enlightenment which can just so happen be channeled through deep meditation in where I think banner is striving to achieve with his split personality perspective of himself and the hulk and I also could’ve sworn that I’ve seen banner do meditation before in other hulk stories in which just may be very similar towards this other depiction of the Incredible Hulk character variant is also working on within himself in question too.
