    It's funny. Title says 7 kW... To be honest, 7 kilowatts of power could easily make a firecracker out of this thing, and it could easily melt that wrench in seconds. But it's a good sounding clickbait, such uploaders can thank Alphabet Inc. that they don't employ fact-checkers yet. And they like clickbaits too, their paychecks depend on the ignorance of the viewers.

    • @baladar1353
      @baladar1353 2 года назад +29

      @@sasipurani I think this induction heater is not what you can use as a fundation for your melting heater. For an inductive melting heater, the main (heating) coil should be made out of minimum 6-10 millimeter inner diameter copper tube, with coolant liquid circulating in it.
      You will need a higher voltage and amperage power supply that can produce enough power for the process, at a relatively high frequency. The power and the frequency depend on what you want to melt, the amount of the material and the shape of it. I guess RUclips is not the place where you want to gather enough information for building a reliable and safe melting heater. Forums about applied electricity would be the right place to look at.

    Nice build! But just asking, where did you get a 583A power supply? 7000W/12V = 583A Your supply side wire gauge is not thick enough to supply that much current. Probably 30A max on those thin wires. This is probably 300W if I had to guess. Thanks.

    • @juperrr
      @juperrr Год назад +2

      Exactly. Most probably "7000 W" title is just for clickbait otherwise those wires would melt like butter at 583 A. You can also judge by the size of the transformer which from the video looks like a 500 W trasformer, at maximum.

      3kW is 250 AMPS of current @ 12V. (V=I*R and W=V*I ... 3000/12=250)
      250A * 8hrs is 2000Ahr per day
      2000Ahrs * 12v is 24000Whrs per day, or 24Kwhrs per 8 hr day.

    This is a real simple and unique item that can be made quickly. The performance is just super. What I am wondering about is could this be used to heat a small space ?? Most electric resistance heaters are supposedly 100 percent efficient, but in reality they fall far short. This would be a real nice gadget to somehow heat the air. What do you think RJ ??

      @@linzero3664 This is my idea. Use a tube that you pump water through that goes into a radiator. The radiator has a air fan the cools the hot water from the induction heating of the metal pipe. This is a simple way to heat water for heating a small room that I believe will be way more efficient that the run of the mill resistive electric space heater.
      Does that make sense to you Lin Zero ??? Let me know if you would like more information. Would bet this would be the killer unit for heat. Peace

      Hello, RJ has just built the heat inductor, I have noticed that the 0.68 wf capacitors and the air coil begin to heat up without any metal being introduced into the coil. the transistors, resistors and diodes remain stable cold without heating, nothing else is the capacitors and coil that get very hot, what can it be?

    Wrap the wire then solder, instead of just soldering them like that.
    You need a good mechanical connection as well as a good electrical connection.
