2. Go to Account Management
3. Press Restore Licenses and go through the process

It's a defragmentation process for ps4's hard drive, like one you have in your PC, it doesn't delete any data, it just reorganizes the data so the system can read and find everything quicker, same as you would go to a library with messed up order of books, you will barely find the book you need, but if it's stored in alphabet order you know exactly where to look and thus you will find the book quicker, that's about how this works.

​@WCDWWCD it will help by deleting crash logs, duplicate files etc. It's like defragging a HDD on your PC.
It's not necessary to do all the time (eg like in this video, every time you turn it on.), but do it occasionally (once every 2-3 months at minimum). Anymore than that will not be worth your time.

Quick explanation on what this dose:
Your data when you delete and replace and update and do whatever to will start out looking like this
Title 1. Title 2. Title 3.
Data. Data. Data
After you mess around with data it will look more like this
Title 1. Title 2. Title 3.
Datt. Addt. Aaaa
Now your system has to look more for the data for one title and this takes time. Defraging moves all of the data back into the correct order
Note: DON'T DEFRAGEMENT YOUR SSD, ONLY DO IT WITH A HHD

Tho technically functions as a defrag in a way it does exactly what it says. Rebuild its internal database usually fixes weird shit behaviors like missing icons or when a system hangs when you open a setting or a game it tends to fix it

Nahhh old ps4 couldn’t handle I had to get a new hard drive a few years back when I got it put it safe mode once and hit rebuild database and my hard drive gave out iv never trusted those every again haven’t done this in 3 years and my pro is just fine
