@@VegasAction I just got back from my first session and won $500! It was $25-$25, so I almost didn't play. I only had $500 and was worried it wouldn't last and all my strategy was based on it being $10-$10. I lost my first two hands when the dealer hit trips both times, then I won something like 12 of the next 15 hands. I was not playing the trips button but I told the dealer I was going to leave and asked him if he wanted me to play a tip for him or give him the money. He said he wanted me to play it on the trips button, so I put $5 in for him and $5 for me and hit a full house. I played it again the very next hand for me and him and hit a straight. The dealer loved me for that. I only played the trips button three times and hit it twice! Thanks for posting your videos. They really helped me learn the strategy and gave me the confidence I could do it.
7:00 I work in the insurance industry (for neither of the two companies mentioned), and I can tell you that Progressive was formed as a high risk insurer. They will be cheaper if you’ve had multiple at fault accidents, if you have young drivers on your policy, and if you have bad credit. Generally, a company like Geico will not spread their rates so evenly and will be cheaper for lower risk households and more costly for higher risk households. Of course, different companies’ actuaries may have biases for or against an area, so even if that doesn’t ring any bells, Progressive could be considerably cheaper in your specific area for most drivers. Very cool! Steve got rear ended and then a kid ran a red light and totaled his car a few years ago. Neither was his fault and his insurance more than doubled.
@@VegasAction wow - that shouldn’t have caused rates to double. I suppose I should clarify that I’m no longer licensed and this isn’t advice. Not at fault accidents can be an indicator that at fault accidents are more likely in the future. But that usually looks like losing a “claims free” discount. It doesn’t account for doubling the rate. My best guess is that during one of the claims, the claims adjuster found something wrong in the policy (not counting something against you that should have already been counting against you, discounts you weren’t entitled to, etc.). Not sure why that wouldn’t have been proactively comminucated as any sane person would switch after rates doubled with no notice.

It’s always good to shop around every few years for the 95% of us where price is the primary concern.

There’s sites online. Not sure about a video. 19 is a pretty conservative number that we try to use.
